This genre of music is so hit or miss, so fragile. I've listened to so many bands that think by playing a minor chord ambiently they're making ground breakingly moving music. Because it's so easy to produce something structurally similar to this without an actual ear for amazing melodies 95% of the bands in this genre are horrible. Drudkh is absolutely not one of those bands.

Yep they have a very unique sound

They sound to me like Burzum mixed with doom metal same limited folk music inside it with the cold grim scratchy ambient BM atmosphere,nature folklore that all reminds me of Burzum.

But still with something of their own..

Drudkh's music really makes my skin chill, it feels just like the embrace of nature and of one's true ethnical heritage... I may not be Slavic, I'm actually from Guatemala, but still, it does make me very, very proud of my heritage, as a heir of the Mayan land... Really powerful music, inspiring and touching... after having listened to their vast and various songs, now they definitely are one of my favourite folk/black metal bands ever...

Same. Drudkh is probably one of the few black metal bands that actually has anything to say besides "worship Satan" and "kill yourself." Not to put those bands down (I'm almost as big a Shining fan as a Drudkh fan), but it gets repetitive. You can literally hear and feel the purpose in Drudkh in ways most bands can't understand or achieve.
