  • yea im sure he couldnt get the blood off... cuz blood is do hard to clean.... phony

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like someone who has a really scutty lifestyle.

  • 1:50 he's is not signed! mine is :p

  • would it be wrong if i bought one of these as my first guitar

  • @MrJaimii YES

    unless you can already play.

if you cant then buy something cheap, there are so many different quality copies out there nowadays its pointless realy buying a quality machine with top of the range pickups until you realy know what ya doing :) - Friendly advice but as a Slipknot fan............... Id buy 4 :)

  • as Paul Gray (RIP man ) said :

Jim is awesome, I love Jim

  • Anyone know what kind of paint he's got on it? I really like how that's wearing-in. I actually might just end up with one of these for my next guitar...

  • what kinda pick is on his hnd? i've seen it in other artists but idk what it is hwlp : [

  • shows you that every heavy band doesnt use superstrats :D

  • What kind of strap is that?

  • @PeanutButterGtr DiMarzio Locking strap.

  • @METALdude1195 I want...

  • @PeanutButterGtr I use the same strap locks and it the cliplock system by dimarzio. Its great. Its impossible for it to fall off even if you are jumping and swinging it.

  • @TheJohndeer98 I just purchased this strap. It IS great!!! I love it. I can't believe I ever used anything else.

  • @TheRoxy6 lmao!

  • Man wants that ting or

I would like to have that gitar !!

  • holy crap what string he's using? how can he bend that high?

  • Comment removed

  • @abc10thousands jim detunes that Tele in drop A or B, thats why he can bend so high :D

  • @666MonchoxD666 only because of low tuning that doesn't really mean anything because he uses 11 gauge

  • @Guitarkido123 yeah i know but that helps a lot, when i play my strat in standard tuning, its harder to bend than doing it in drop C

  • @666MonchoxD666 dude , it depends on the gauge for all i care you can be in drop a tuning , but if you have 12 gauge on it will be hard , now if you have 9 or 10 gauge on your guitar and tune it to drop c or b then of course you can bend high , the reason he can bend high isnt because he's in drop b its because he has jumbo frets and a nut that helps him bend high , you abvously play guitar you should know all this , its basics

  • @Guitarkido123 hahaha you are right, i know that the gauge really cares, but i didn't know that the nut helped a lot, my fail...

  • White wedding is being played in the background hahah nice

  • I kinda hate to admit it but Fender goes pretty hard. I mean a Fender jazz bass can play just about any damn genre or syle of music, same with their guitars as well. Their amps (in my opinion) have always sounded really clean and clear and they pack a punch as well.

  • @HeadacheVillain Any guitar can play any genre, not every person can though.

  • I like this guy alot more than mick thomson - Thomson just seems to show off.

  • can someone explain that if you have locking tuners in say normal tuning. how do you then drop down to open tuning. Do you get the option to wind the strings on as normal and not use the locking system

  • @jonahmoffatt locking tuner = locks the string in place so it don't slip out of the tuners (stays better in tuning) and you can tune them like you normaly do, the main reason is so you don't have to wind the strings at all. but you can wind them if you want to.

  • Tone machine with EMGs. Lol.

  • Everytime I see him he has this strange ribbon around his fingers... I don`t understand why he`s doing this...

  • @Pitty1987 its got his pick on it.

  • @Pitty1987 If you watch the Sulfur music video by Slipknot, you'll notice he uses it when he plays his godly creation from this video ;D

  • @Pitty1987 p.s. it's also a hair tie xD

  • @3Carrot08 Yeah I know... I don`t find the english word :-D

  • I have a choice out of this guitar a dean dime shadow ml or a jackson randy rhoads rr3 which should i go for?

  • This white body/ black pick guard would be sick with a white/maple fretboard would be sick but I cant find one :(

  • White wedding in the back

  • can anybody pls send me a link to where i can buy the same strap as him (kind of really want same straplocks) soz for noob question...

  • i dislike the fact that he put EMG's in a strat and a tele but hey-ho that's heavy guitar players for you...they love EMG's for some reason. Bare knuckles or dimarzios sound so much better and can be very heavy sounding and bare knuckles are hand wired!

  • @benno369 maybe he's one of those guys who just dosen't like dimarzios. There a very love it/hate it product

  • @benno369

    Well you can replace them.

I'm dying for one of those Teles, not a Jim Root or a EMG fan but they're fantastic guitars.

  • @benno369 81/60 is a versatile combination for any guitar player in my opinion, but, if you do want a Dynamic versatility then passive is really the way to go, but its hard to decide between the millions of pups out there, I'm having a coil split, Holydiver installed to replace the 81 in my Tele (non jim root model).

  • "alright, jim from sl...tone sour and slipknot." lol why would he put the ' slipknot ' at the back instead he trying to say it at the first place

  • bolt on neck whyyyy?

  • @MrJohnnyPetey because he switches necks quite often

  • @slipknot666guitar fair enough, what works for one person might not work for someone else.

  • cara q porra e aquela coisa q ele ta segurando na mão dele?

    quem souber me responde

  • Auguem me responde que bagulho é esse na mão dele? é pra não deixar a palheta cair???

  • I'm not really into math either. FUCK THAT SHIT

  • @Panek911 no lie bro fuck it

  • Worth 1500???? FUCK YAAA

  • Alright... Jim from SL...tone sour hahahahahahahahahah

  • He's had that for maybe a year or two in this video and it has more wear on it than most guitars get in 15 years. BEAST.

  • @BioGeometric066 TRUE!! nice comment

  • Tone machine without a tone knob

  • @xXmoptop100Xx in the words of Phil demmel: "Nobody uses tone controls in metal"

  • What is that thing thats attached to his hand? looks like its holding his pick in place or somthing so he dosnt drop it. would like to know where to get one if anyone has a clue.

  • @MrParkourify its his hairband

  • What kinda Strap Locks are those?!?! And where can ig et them

  • @hcwmusic55 Its actually a Dimarzio clip lock strap. Basically what you do is take off you strap buttons and screw on those tab lock things and the strap clips into them. There amazing.

  • @666jony666 Awesome! Thanks very much!

  • @hcwmusic55 no problem man!

  • is that tool in the background?

  • those are like bass frets, also someone was covering white wedding in the back noise. my name is caption obvious.

  • are corey taylor and james root only guys who are in slipknot and in stone sour?

  • @Norkey77 yessir..

  • man he looks old in this one.

  • gotta love his laugh.

  • He looks different without his mask

  • @metalballs2010 No shit. What did you expect?

  • I love HH Teles

  • im not actually exaggeration or anything,.. but i'd literally do anything for that tele!

  • i wish it had passive pickups, i love the tele. looks great but im not an active pickup guy i think it robs the guitar of the natural sound from the wood

  • @TheAlexkru couldn't agree with you more, but in Jim's case I shall make an exception :P

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 i can get as much gain out of my duncan designed FG-101's as my friends that use EMGs and people say mine sounds better than theirs, i cant play active pickups at all. they have a use, i just have not found that use yet

  • what kinda straps r those???

  • @ESPMETALLICAFAN17 DiMarzio

  • oh i do want that guitar

  • I'm not gay, but I will say that he is a GOOD LOOKIN DUDE. He's my man crush x)

  • nice guy. no ego. just cool.

  • if its a tone machine, wheres the tone control :p ^-^ but yeh, emg 81-60 <3 got my own custom shop telecaster routed for humbuckers, fitted emgs myself, worked out a bit cheaper hehe

  • who are the 6 fuckers that disliked this ??!!

  • Oh my god, he looks exactly like my father.

  • GOD I love Jim...

  • Fender should make a lesser priced version. One with traditional fender tuners, emg hz pickups, rosewood fretboard...

  • @pivetlord13 ...why?

  • i want one of these so bad... but i don't have $1500 to spend :P looks like i'm getting mick's sig guitar. haha its waaaay cheaper

  • @DJSumthinCool i have one and i paid only 899 bucks !

  • i would kill to have his tele

  • its weird. when these guys first came on the scene, you'd see them in guitar magazines decked out as some sort of deranged hardcore metal outfit, but watching this dude now, he reminds me of the washed out ex-hippie dudes that work at guitar center! lol

  • I was searching up old Fender amps and somehow this was a suggested video. I honestly thought this clip would annoy me somehow, as I'm not the biggest fan of either band. Truth be told this guy seems very sincere, and he really knows his stuff. I hardly hear people mention neck radius. Personally EMGs aren't my thing, but I suppose they suit that style of music nicely.

  • @CampfireHedphaz jim definantly knows his stuff

  • I ♥ you, James, you are my fuckin' inspiration to play guitar

  • you know u been playing hard when you cant clean ur own blood up

  • yes ! already had the black one and now the white Tele is also arrived ,it plays perfectly awesomely good !!!!!!!!

  • Wow. Jim Root seems like a cool, Intelligent dude... Probably be great to spend a Saturday afternoon talking and jamming with this guy--unlike so many others, who are always hitting the bottle or hitting you with the heavy attitude.

  • @FreeFavl What are you talking about?

  • Ahhh! I Love Him!! he Is FUNNY! :D

  • In my opinion string through bodies are the best type of guitars. regardless of brand.

  • guys i have just seen slipknot live and guess what...jim root customized a jaguar model like this tele...

  • @TheNirvanafan1992 I saw that he pulled it out when I saw Stone Sour

  • @TheNirvanafan1992 yeah awesome right ! It's actually a Fender Jazzmaster ,you can hear him explain about it on youtube ,just type in Jim Root Rig Rundown ;-)

  • Let me understand. He is in 2 Bands?

  • @iLoveIbanez1 yeah the Stone Sour's singer is also Corey Taylor

  • @iLoveIbanez1 yeps ,Slipknot and Stone Sour ;-)

  • I want his hair T.T

  • where was this at? looks like a trailer

  • JIM ROOT 4EVER

  • what is that fing on his right hend?

  • @TheMrtVl Thing* and hand* No offence.

And it's little strap, so he won't drop his guitar pick(s), pretty smart and safe.

  • @lund3000 Thanks

  • he is alwsonme

  • relic please :)

  • So I got it four days ago and it is a pure tone beast. I have it through a 6534+ and the sound is massive. The neck is nice and flat and surprisingly thin, the matte paint job has a cool quality that you can't really appreciate on the screen. String bending is just like Jim says, easy and doesn't fret out, I can bend from an A to a C# on the second string much easier that on my Gibson Les Paul Traditional. I am really happy with this purchase.

  • all that math, im not into that. haha

  • well.. he is so funny and lovely but he is fucking badass with the mask on and fucking crazy headbanging.

  • why the fuck is there blood on your guitar?

  • @animevatar Ive busted my fingers on my guitar before right on the cuticle and the nail i didnt notice it and it went everywhere, and I have a friend who's nosebled on a guitar haha point is it happens...

  • @animevatar bacause hes in slipknot

  • i like jim's face..if you looking into his face you will see rock and roll..

  • Ordered mine today. It will be the fourth guitar in my arsenal, which includes a Gibson Explorer, an American maple neck standard Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Gold Top. I think the Jim Root Tele will be the beast of the lot. Cheers!

  • I saw Jim live at the recent Carolina Rebellion show. He played a custom Jaguar ( basically his signature model just different body ) with a sticker on it. It was white w/maple neck. Rest of the show he played Gibsons for some reason. I have a white Jim Root Tele and I accidentely took a nick of paint out of it today, I usually hate scratches, but it looks good on fenders.

  • Jim just got out of the shower. Lol.

  • jim remeber me a joker!

  • i met jim at rockfest and he is like the nicest guy ever but on stage he looks like he can kill you with the awesomeness of his guitar skills and headbanging

  • i think he can talk all the time about his guitar...

  • Badass guitar.. :D

  • i wonder what he puts in his hair o make it so wet looking..... if only i could goto skool with wet like hair silky nongreasy to the touch

if snyone knows hit me up

    JIM ROOT ROCKS

  • Ya know.

  • he is very handsome

  • @nut33620 He'd better be, marrying Cristina Scabbia.

  • He's not like Mick, he actually shows his face.

  • Jim is awesome and tge white one is cooler than the black one I think because it ages better.

  • its strange how a guitar this awesome sounding doesnt have a monster of a bridge

  • Looks like the joker

  • how did the blood get there? its a random place for blood to be.

  • My precious!!!

  • Sure feel sorry for the people who got the black Jim Root Tele :D It won't age as beautifullly

  • @TheNohcim ik it just gets darker :( im buying a white one soon tho

  • @sgman310 Can't go wrong with white:D these guitars are beasts though, if i had the money id buy all jim root strats and teles in all colors

  • You know..

  • I never cared too much for Telecasters but seeing his guitar and what it features, I feel like getting one.

  • i love the fact that he wants it to wear! i wanna buy a bass(bass player) that also wears nicely!

  • Blood? Did you use your guitar to smash some zombies or something?
