  • големи аматьоре са .... много не късат ....

  • Your bar is upside down!

  • @killerstone5 - Only half the time, unless I'm standing on my head.

  • i love that saw!!, i have a ms 391 and compared to my old 056 super...its like wow...the old one does have more snort down low..but its heavy as hell...you know, my 391 is the smoothest cutting and easy to handle saw ive ever owned...very little vibration! nice vid bro!

  • @lluwd - Good comment... 'preciate cha. I own a 361 as well but usually choose my 039 for felling the big ones. Cause it's got snort (longer stroke) and rpm, where as the 361 can get bound up if it loses it high rev's and leave you in a pinch.

  • Seems ok to me. Loose chain could be deadly. I have on only once worked with loose chain and accident happened right away.

  • @mait2733 - Exactly! The chain on any bar should be tensioned so that when you pull up on the cutter in the center of the bar the driver should just barely clear the guide rail. Then tune your saw for it. Anything less will lead to throwing a chain at the least and filing bent drivers or an ugly trip to the E.R.

  • looks like you chain might be to tight. I would loosing that up a bit. It cuts down on your power if it is to tight. just saying....

  • How old is the 039?.. stihl dont make the 0-- series anymore do they?

  • @a2dds l got a MS260 from 03, so not about 10 years:)

  • as a chainsaw mechanic i must to say your sharpening skills are very very good...very sharp, good video... sory for my bad english

  • boys on number 6 i wasexpecting a kick back

  • That's a damn nice saw you're running there...dig how fast & smooth those cuts are.

  • @BlueOx2277 - Awesome comment thanks.

  • Love this video! Can not get over how clean the power band is.

  • @highcountrytimber - Had my Dad running this saw the other day. My nephew and I couldn't help but just keep saying, "Holy...??? DANG that thing is piped up!".

    So...I'm hearin' what you'rreeRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGGGGG..........

  • @1moonbuggy

Glad your dad enjoy her :) Wondering how well a MS 290 would do with these same mods?

  • I see pancakes! Friggin rights I see !!! :D

  • @KrzychOlsztyn - I saw it, I saw it, with my own two eyes!

  • Still can not believe a mod homeowner class saw can cut this good. If I get a 039 and some extra cash I am sending you a saw to mod!

  • @highcountrytimber - Awesome, I'd hook ya up Shredder style, or could provide a "kit". Anyone interested can contact me for details.

  • @DIESELMAN8V92 - As for chain and angles. I only run Stihl Oilomatic chain # 33RSLF 3/8 x .050 in. So that's, Rapid Super "L" Full skip. These are then hand filed with a six sided chisel bit file at three intersecting 45 degree angles that create a 10 degree tooth angle (when viewed from top) and a perfect "L" shaped cutter. Then the rakers get taken down .028 in as measured from top of cutter. Then I add the custom chip deflector unless you like pockets and mouth fulls of Fallers change. Thanks

  • are they 660 dogs?

  • @jonesbrent85 - Yes, good eye. These are stihl part #1122/01. They fit 044's and 060's. They bolt right onto the 039 and for a 361 the inner dawg has to be modified a little at the bottom. Note that they don't line up perfectly (neither will the wood you're cuttin' so who gives a.....), so to install the chain roller/catcher you'll have to re-drill the mounting hole on the inside dawg for both saws as well.

I can get these and Mod. them along with roller for intrested parties.....just P/M me

  • @1moonbuggy thats sweet nice job. i was just woundring they looked a bit big for that saw

  • @jonesbrent85 - These dawgs are on a stock side cover so they might look extra big. If they were on an oversize cover they'd be more in prespective. One thing for sure they're never in the way and engage everything i stick with them. They do reduce the effective cutting length by about 1 1/2 inches but I run a 28" bar so thats not a factor either..........timmmmber.

  • @1moonbuggy you did a very nice job on the modds for that saw keep up the good work

  • Very nice saw

  • @billplatinum6 - Thanks, I think the same as well. Definitely lessens the work load.

  • NICE VID!!! what did you set your angles at man? and what did you file the rakers to? very nice sharp saw keep it up :)

  • Nice Vid Bro, what are you using for chain/ angles and type?

  • nice work my frind!!! wish i was there helping u cut up the tree i love cutting wood

  • 100 años a la basura... da lastima este video!

  • even when they arent needed i still give them

  • iono why i do that i am like offerly open with tips even tho u know what ur doing im sometimes around people that dont so its almost natural to give tips

  • when ur cutting good moon sure use the three inch method when u cutvin first cut lean the bar all the way forward as if ur pointing downward at the ground then after a good side cut u pull all the way back ascif ur pointing the bar upward at the sky then back down itll save alot of cutting just a helpful tip ur videos are great

  • @emanhacker I usually don't use the dawgs or any forced cuts when speed cutting. But if you look at 7:26, you'll see marks in the end cut from using that technique. It's also how to reduce the dia. of log to = length of bar. ie: cut thru a 32" log with 28" bar, from one side

  • @joshuarugg any reason ur commenting with disrespect ty moonbuggy enjoy ur videos its an honor to watch! btw josh i have an 880 and an old 090 if u wanna go head to head urs will roll

  • my 440 would smoke it. :)

he likes to eat mid range saws for breakfast. :)

  • @joshuarugg This isn't a 440 vid. Go smoke a 460 or something bigger than yours. Then post it up.

  • @1moonbuggy haha! your funny mate! well i dropped new BigBore kit into my 440 so it now has more power then a stock 440. its ported nd has a pop up piston.

  • ive got the 260 361 460 and my big boy 660 all of them are stock, so i dont understand the "super-tuned" whats that all about.

  • @stihl460bertha - This is an 039 with 28" bar turning 13,275 rpms and cuttin' big hardwood fast. Super-tuning involves: precision muffler mod, carb mod, intake mod, oiler mod and carb re-tune. Gets the maximum amount of torque, power and cutting speed out of the saw as well as reducing overall operating temps. It allows the engine operate more effectively and actually last longer. All my saws get the super-tuned mod. I'll post one of the MS361 Shredder soon.

  • @1moonbuggy how do you do the oiler mod? and if you can list how you modified it that would be great. i would like to mod mine also. thanks
