I was born in 1927, my Grandmother was a Cherokee she told me many stories about the Trail of Tears that her father told to her, she was born in 1841. I see a lot of Native Americans rights being taken away. This was their land long before anyone else settled here. Our Government has gone South and Corrupt.
just make sure there is enough to go around I have no medicine and I'm a student and sometimes don't have enough for my ceremony. Too expencive especially now that everyone who wants peyote found out about it because of YOung GUNS. OMG, Dine from the DINATION

Christian churches serve wine at mass....I have seen children sip wine from the chalice....no one seems to mind...this is the 2st century, why are we still oppressing ancient traditions and peaceful cultures?
Gotta get away from that white jesus, my Native brothers and sisters. That's how that White Devil keeps you in a strangle-hold. "Wait til you die to see some Heaven in the Sky." Meanwhile, Whitey denies you entrance to his Heaven on Earth... (Amerika)
this is just dumb! if any person is free to practice whatever religion they choose then why not whites in a native american church! why not be able to practice your religion how you see fit! even if it includes the use of peyote! Your not hurting anyone or anyones property ( which are the only laws in the constitution) which by the way came from the endigenous peoples of the americas! EVERYONE has a RESPONSIBILITY to fight for their rights!!! To also KNOW your rights under the constituton
it is sad and horrifying when a country that claims to be free of persecution could deny a group of people the very basic human right to practice their beliefs.
I am not native american, yet i wholeheartedly believe in your cause and the gift and power of plants like peyote. I only wish that someday i will be able to share in wisdom such as yours around a campfire without fear of getting arrested.
I am tired of this shit from the USA. I am half Native American with the collection of Sioux, Navajo, Apache, and Pueblo. Because I am so mixed I can't legally join a NAC church.
I speak Navajo, and I know the stories and traditions of all my tribes. The only reason I am not eligible for the Navajo Nation is because my family wasn't on the reservation during the 1928 census, they were in Gallup.
I live traditionally, but I am not recognized as an Indian. It's a sad, sad world.
@Romanorum only by the white man's government standards. Most of traditonal Native society of course, accept people like you, we're just restricted on what we can allow those of "not legal status" do because the damn government gets decided who is and who isn't Indian instead of our own people.
james youre a good man, and im glad you took the stand for freedom. the good red road got me off the path of atheism years ago. ive had to pray and do small ceremonies by myself for the last 6 yrs, givin one exception 5 months ago i got to sweat at that NAC but it looks like they will be discontinuing that one. i found that conducting ceremonies with others is quite healing and inspirational.
