i wish i apreciated my curls before i relaxed it a few months ago! now i have to wait until it grows out :'( i have learned my lesson and i will take care of my hair from now!
Thanks this helped, my hair is really long and curly aswell so it can get pretty annoying when it decides to frizz on humid days - by the way are you somalian?
Hi i have natural curly hair and i never really took good care of it i wash it everyday i dun put on any conditioner or gel or anythn only shmapoo and any shampoo :S i know this is wrong bcz for the past 3 years it haven't went any taller though it looks good as i've been told :$
and i know that i should take care of it but i don't know how any advices plz :) ?!
I really enjoyed listening to your tutorial. I live in a climate that is dry and the water is HARD! I only detangle in the shower when my hair is soaking wet and FULL of conditioner as you stated! As a matter of fact, I stopped using an comb and only use my fingers. Thank you!
@BilaChild Not true. Different hair types need different things. I don't know if I'd recommend that someone with fine, straight hair comb it while wet, but individuals with dense, curly hair SHOULD in fact comb their hair while wet with conditioner.
Combing your curly hair while dry is possibly the stupidest suggestion I've ever heard. Just try it once, then you'll see why it's a bad idea.
I'd suggest you look into the idea that different people need different things.
@BilaChild wow you sound so dumb. why would you say something is a fact when so many curly haired gurus say the same thing and they all have gorgeous hair??
go learn something before trying to teach others what is right and wrong. do you even have curly hair? i love it when stupid people comment on videos, it makes my day
@Addicted2Candy88 I sometimes have a puffing problem with my hair, but that seems to only be on days that are super humid (and if I did not put in enough holding product on that particular day). Typically, my routine helps keep my curls in check, so my hair doesn't frequently expand into a monster anymore. ;D
@interplanetrabbit thank you sooo much! i went out and bought the Honey and Almond shampoo and conditioner and it smells sooo good! Also, i think its just my hair that's so thick i don't think its puffing much. Thank you!
omgggg i would DIE for your hair! i have very long, pin straight brown-ish hair and id really die for a single curl, even wave.. hehe enjoy ur hair, its awesome :)
@MarinAlisonSmith Hmm, unfortunately I don't know what to tell you. I guess your curl pattern is different in the sense that your hairs spiral, kink, and coil more than mine do, possibly. :/
I would just say to give it time. When I was re-growing my hair out, for the first few months it seemed like it only grew sideways (lol). But, as I continued to acquire length, it stretched the curls out to make the hair actually look longer and less voluminous.
Hi! I love your hair and I'm growing mine out as well.
I also live in a super humid place and I use Sauve Professionals Captivating Curls Whipped Cream Mousse and I love it! Its super cheap, thick and it leaves my hair feeling really soft and it smells amazing. I just wanted to share with you since you seem to be missing mousse. I know I would. :) Hope it works for you!
Actually, Suave Pro. Cap. Curls is one of the mousse products I have at the moment that does not work in my hair with this humidity. :/ I think in general, mousses just are not gonna fly, unless I mix them with gel. x_x It makes me sad, because that stuff smells FANTASTIC, and it's super inexpensive.
I'm hoping that come winter-time, I'll be able to re-visit some of my long-lost mousse loves. <3
You could try and mix your mousse with gel. Like first apply mousse then layer with good holding gel or mix some mousse with gel. Just an idea. Think they sell some products like this, mousse and gel combination. f
@LuvCurls3 That's actually a very good idea. I may try mixing my HUGE SUPPLY OF MOUSSE with the aloe vera gel or proclaim gel (since those are the two that I find can't provide sufficient hold on their own, anyway).
I'm really excited to try this. I don't know why this didn't occur to me on my own, lol. Thanks for the suggestion! <3
@interplanetrabbit Great - Please let us know how it works for your hair (beautiful hair btw) and getting very very long. :) Also thanks for taking time to do some curly hair vids for all :)
oh and i wanted to say i think the reason the proclaim isn't working as well is because it may have glycerin in it which can make the hair frizzy if you live in a humid environment.. its very moisturizing but it attracts moisture also which sucks beause it can cause frizz lol so I try to stay away from glycerin. Most moisturizing gels have glycerin in them :)
@Shemsa08 Oh, that makes a lot of sense! Thank you so much for that info! I mean, I love the stuff--it's a GREAT price for how much you get, and it helps keep my hair soft... but it just leaves me looking so fuzzy after about an hour or two. :/
But, now I know. :D Thanks so much for the heads up! I'll keep an eye out for that in the future when sampling new products. <3
@noorahAZ I use a shampoo WITH sulfates in it, but only about once a week--give or take a day (which is why I was saying that I don't follow the CG method, which purports avoidance of sulfates).
@Aspenfash899 I do wear it down everyday for the most part (except the days I don't feel like washing, during which I'll typically style it into a bun).
And no, it's not bad for your hair to be wet everyday. :] The issue is if it stays wet and does not fully dry between washings. I have seen before where people who stay indoors all day and have dense hair (that doesn't dry quickly) will maintain a damp feel. That's no good, but if your hair is COMPLETELY drying each day, it won't be an issue.
@fev1588 You can find out by looking at a government website. I'll put the link in the description, since I imagine more people are going to want to know about this! :)
And, I have not used ecostyler gel! I'll have to check it out. ;D
@KaylaJ218 Yeah, there was no way to make this short unless I broke it into two sections like before (one on routine, one on products).
But, I figured I might as well condense everything into one video. :) Sorry if it was inconvenient for you to watch! I'll take that into consideration next time; perhaps I will just continue to break the videos up by topic, but I thought I'd give this format a try.
@interplanetrabbit i dont think it matters that it was long. if someone has a problem with it then they dont have to watch the video. ive seen plenty of good tutorials that are 15 minutes or more. anyone who lacks the patience to sit through a semi length video for the sake of bettering their hair routine shouldnt be watching the video in the first place, thats what i think. great video rabbit!!!
@interplanetrabbit i see where your coming from, its cool to try new things,i was wondering though, how many layers do you have in your hair? i like the way its cut
@KaylaJ218 Thanks! Actually, I couldn't tell you how many layers I have, because I cut it myself, and I didn't really have a method to the madness. :p I just cut the pieces how I wanted them to look, haha!
@interplanetrabbit lol i was thinking of doing the same thing the other day but i got nervous about it, idk maybe ill try it anyway since it worked out for you, hopefully it will for me as well lol

@interplanetrabbit Hey I was wondering if your hair sheds a lot? Especially since it's so long. I find whenever i wash my hair it sheds quite a bit.
