Well, it's four years down and I still haven't found the name of the song playing in the background of this clip.

I can make out the words "Subarashi you and me" which might be the chorus. There are some alternative spellings of "subarashi" like "subarashii" and "tsubarashi." Google turns-up nothing.

This episode was in 1998/1999 and Europop / Bubblegum Pop was still very popular. I think the song is of that genre and might be of European rather than Japanese origin (but I'm just guessing).

I think its kind of sad that here, Mike shows that he's learned some things from the single group (do some things they like, don't go for supermodel, etc) and he still gets rejected. I always wondered if they would do more with Trevor hooking these guys from the singles group up. Too bad the show was cancelled before we could see any of that. Love this show.
