This advert is offensive to people who have not got kids, as if to say we are stupid. Why do you have have kids to understand that people don't want to be in pain? This is not the only thing that makes out people without children are ignorant, stupid and unsympathetic.
@LEK2129 Ehm actually you are the only one dumb here. I have no kids and even I know that when kids are poorly they do silly things and that is what Calpol is drawing on. The advert is actually very smart but obviously not to someone dumb
@JanaKubalova I am not dumb. My comment was only directed towards the end of the clip where it says 'if you've got kids you'll understand' as if to say people who have not got kids of their own wouldn't understand that the children don't want to be in pain. My point is you don't have to have kids to realise they don't want to feel ill.

I have two young children and my wife and I had a really good chuckle at this. When your kids are poorly they can be a bit listless / subdued. It simply means that their activities are not going to be compromised or curtailed, so if your kids are a handful when well ( most 6 year olds are ), you can expect more of the same. They are going to 'feel' like doing all their usual stuff.
It would seem you really do have to have kids to understand :-/
I love the way adverts these days portray it as normal for kids to behave like little bratz. I'm sure the mum would just chuckle while removing those stains of her expensive foundation and eyeshadow from the floor. And finding that your lamp is smashed up . heh heh heh. Ohh hilarious. kids eh?
@veritycoxi that's exactly what my mum said when she saw the advert! she froze, tensed, glared at the screen, looked at me (i'm 20 btw) and goes "If you'd have done that, i'd have killed you" roflmao

@LEK2129 Then again you didn't understand what they meant by that statement.
