you can update the roster at the option mode. its quite easy, took me 20mins to make all the important trades.

It is quite easy to manually update the rosters - took me like 15 minutes to do it using instructions available online but it is expected that 2K Sports will release an updated roster thru XBOX live/PS Network for download after the NBA trade deadline has past which is approximately late February.
