  • I made it but it does not work ):

  • i tryed it out and u forgot how to woer it up to the buttune

  • i dont even know how a redstone repeater works lol.

  • can i we be friends and play o nminecraft

  • >1.2.0 :D

  • kinda pointless because of the new light switch box thing coming out in the next update but still good job

  • ... Redstone and ladders on glowstone... It was a good time...

  • in 1.1 it works perfectly megusta

  • Fly down

  • I made one with two buttons instead of one with an AND gate, so it toggled the pistons while keeping the top one moving, its quite simple

  • Hey guys check out this VERY HIDDEN AND SIMPLE trap! /watch?v=zl5jYwaLYAg

  • please do lava trap please with pistons

  • Dont work anymore

  • but if you do the light switch its better that you do an opening glass sealing too so you can use the light switch at night

  • Great block switcher model, im gona use that in my stairs

  • why for me does not work please reply fast i need help!!??

1.1v it work for the stone but not for the glowstone...

  • @thmthm133

Glowstone is transparent, redstone dosent power blocks considerd "transparent"

  • subscribed only for the snow in the desert

  • Comment removed

  • How many blocks wide and high?

  • it didnt work for me

  • I have a tutorial on two piston light switches that works for 1.1 - head over to my channel If that's what you're looking for. There should also be a guide on how to make hidden lights with three pistons (as seen in this video) for 1.1 that is going up soon!

  • You can do this or you can put torches up

  • Sweet dude thanks a lot!

  • nasa called, they want their potato back

  • i made a compact version, 7 by 3 by 1 version of this. works perfectly and wont flaw.

  • I might be wrong, but if you extend one side another block so the glowstone side has two spaces and the other block has one (as in your video), it will work, since it will pass through the regular stone instead.

  • Steve: *yawns* i'm gonna go to sleep

    *turns off lights*

    *the next day*

    *wakes up*

    Steve:*yawn* O.O wtf

    Creeper: had a nice ssssssssssssssssssssssleep?

  • Version??

  • I tried this, but it doesn't work since the redstone doesn't point INTO the piston. doesn't work anymore. :(

  • Made something similar a long time ago but mine was more complex :( though my garden lights are basically the same but upside down.

  • it works great. its just the glowstone is transparent :( your right.

  • seed???

  • @MinecraftNiD I'm pretty sure its a custom made flatgrass map but if it ill make you happy i'll put down some random numbers and call it a seed 1786763764864876483 there happy now

  • can you make an update for this

  • You guys can make it work by letting the power go through almost any other block placed next to the glowstone (for example dirt)! (Like this comment for everyone to see!)

  • You can hit the shift key to slowly go down.

  • Hey I made a video of this! Come check out mine! It is for the wall but I will do a tutorial sooner or later :/ on how to make it on the ceiling...

  • i did make clock and when i cross hall i did have headache :D

  • The glowstone block isn't the problem, the problem is that with some change in game mechanics the pistons won't work together, so what you need is to have one piston pushing by default while one is not and then it will work

  • if I start a server can you help me with this

  • Good video,i tried to do this on a wall and not on the roof and it worked with glowstone

  • @divineagent it is actually usefull if you just have a house with glass there is light at day but at night you can turn it on and tada! :)

  • @divineagent were du get that texture pack

  • GUYS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MOVE THE DIODE TO THE PISTON INSTEAD OF THE GLOWSTONE I HAVE JUST TRYED IT EMAIL ME AT eddie5995@yahoo.com if you have any problems, i will assist you

  • 1.0.0 there is a way to make it work again! you just have to put the signal around the glowstoneblock. but its a bit difficult

  • @easycompanieBoB Could always try jackolaterns.

  • @divineagent You can't push pumpkins with pistons.

  • @divineagent u can't move them with pistons:P

  • @divineagent yes but i thing it's more fun to build it with the glowstone ;)

glowstone has on every side the same tex, so it looks better than the jacko. , i thing xD

  • @divineagent

that does not work, jackolanterns break when you try to push them with pistons

  • @divineagent

the Jack O Laterens cant be placed instead of glow stone :(

  • @divineagent it doesn't work. jackolanterns are destroyed by pistons.

if you take directly the signal from the inverter and the delay of 0.3 second to the glowstone's piston, the system work

  • @divineagent Jack-O-Lanterns just get destroyed/harvested when you push them with pistons unfortunately :(

  • @divineagent it doesn't work. the jackolantern is destroy bay pistons. i have a solution. you can send the signal on the glow's piston directly with a 0.3 second delay.

  • @daruthin yeh that works good!:D

  • @daruthin That's impossible. A tick is .6 seconds.

  • @xXmiomoXx what are you talking about? try it ;-)

  • @daruthin So if a tick is .6 seconds, yeah it's definately possible to make a .3 second delay.

  • @daruthin Do'h, im a month late... but seems we stumbled on the same solution. You dont even need 0.3, 0.2 is enough if the other one is 0.1

  • @divineagent jackolanterns need a block below them for some reason (idk if pistons get around that tho, i havnt tested it)

  • @divineagent nope doesnt work anymore :((

  • @divineagent or run so

    P

    R

    W T

where p= piston, r=repeater w=wire and t = torch, not sure if it works, haven't tested

  • @divineagent They can't be pushed,

  • @divineagent Pistons can't push jackolanters/pumpkins. I have a fix for it though. I put it as a video response.

  • @divineagent There is also a brutally simple way of doing this in 1.1 and without fiddling or mods.

    You just do this:

    Stone side:

Torch > repeater notch 1 > through stone > piston

This side is same as in the video.

    Glowstone Side:

    Torch > repeater notch 2 > Piston

    A very minor tweak.

Then, when you press the button it will work again, toggling between states. Try it and make another vid :)

    Hope it helps.

  • @easycompanieBoB can you post vid showing how

  • @easycompanieBoB In 1.0.0 the signal does not pass through glowstone. Simply move the left piston 1 block further away and put a cobblestone next to the glowstone. Connect the circiut and enjoy !!

  • @criscryptic thanks man ! it work fine ! :) (and yeah i enjoyed it :P)

  • @easycompanieBoB in 1.2 it will work again :D

  • @easycompanieBoB

place a repeater in front of the piston with the glowstone with 2 ticks delay

and connect it with redstone to the torch which is located on the side and it works for 1.1

  • @SkivGER

    sry 3 ticks

for the reaperter in front of the piston in this vid it would be the left one

  • for some reason it doesn't work for me , do think u can help me out?

  • did you know if you make a house with the modular piston light and use glow stone it makes mobs spawn in your house. from what i herd from a friend

  • @TheEaglemac Yup! If you turn the lights off mobs can spawn.

  • You can use redstone Ores instead of the glowstone, this will give you a smooth light that works for 40-50 sec.

  • Comment removed

  • the best way to be able to understand is to try and make something with it and if somethings not working reffer to a redstone guide that's how I learn and now redstone is a breeze

  • uhm you can still make a glowstone light switch all you need is glowstone redstone an a lever

  • has anyone noticed that when someone says "simple" when talking about redstone that when they walk out to the wiring it doesnt look simple at all?

  • Why the snow all over the place?

  • Hmm... If we can't do this with glowstone anymore, can we still do it with jack-o-lanterns? *puts on hopeful face*

  • Fuck you nooootch!

  • @DiscoVillain yeah i know it no longer works in 1-0-0

  • or better. 1 put a torch 2 blocks in. 2 put a piston. 3 put a block of sand/gravel. 4 put a switch. done! ghetto light switch yay!

  • @MrCrininer

    You're right...

  • I'm a girl gamer and I do not get any thing to do with pistons! sorry this tutorial didn't help me understand it either, like all the other videos

  • @sallawalla786 captain sparklez has made a redstone tutorial, you should check it out

  • are you dutch? you sound like you have an dutch accent :)

  • why whould you want to do thise you do know mobs spawn in the dark?

  • @MLMafghan Place them in a mobgrinder and it allow to activate an anti spawn mech in order to do maintenance or disable mob that can slow down pc ;)

  • my friend made a light switch out of obsidion

but i dont know how to do it

  • use pumpkin or locked chest :D its weird the chest lghts up (only obtainable with mods)

  • @rroobbbb1 correction pumpkind cant be pushed

  • I fixed your lightning systeem just change the redstone

  • Just move the left piston away from the center one block and change the wire to go through a stone block that that does accept redstone current. The piston can easily push two blocks. It takes only a slight modification to make this work.

  • it doesnt work anymore :(

  • It's do not work

  • what do you mean when ypu said it acts as a transparent block?

  • @gest9007 Glowstone can't hold a redstone current anymore, nor can levers be placed on them, etc. They act like glass.

  • @divineagent what about pumpkins?

  • @divineagent that sucks. i use to use this all the time from you. -.- *sigh*

  • @divineagent which btw is BULLSHIT

  • @divineagent notch! y he ruin everything?!

  • @gest9007 I found a way to let it work after the latest patches. I could load a video up where I show my improvements if u show me how to upload a video ;)

  • I see it dosen't work in 1.0.0 but you can make it so, just change the design a little bit,

    Craftpixel has done this.

  • Very Very Clever sadly it dosint work BUT i got it to :D!

  • after 5 minites of searching for my errors in "the constuction", it finaly worked!, thanks dude, sorry foe my bad inglish and i'll suscribe to you just like "thank's" B-D

  • Time for bed kids!

    Awww...

Come on now. Lights on, night night.

  • Should have seen me trying to make this. i was using bloody latches and inverters =/

  • Dude 4 1.0.0 is patch :(

  • I Put a video response on How to get it to work in 1.0.0!

  • @4131025 I think u can just add two more regular piston next to the other ones and another sticky piston

  • I fixed it, fix:

Take an extra repeater and place it next the repeater of glowstone, so 2 repeaters for the glowstone piston, 2 ticks, and it's fixed. If you don't get it, tomorrow i have a tutorial.

  • this doesn´t work in 1.0.0,,,

and i did it right like you did -.-

  • why it's so hard to understand? this design does't work anymore but you can fix it just putting a block next to the glowstone

  • This design no longer works in 1.0.0 because glowstone went back to being a glass-type block and does not transmit redstone signal.

  • @sebas9504It Works For Me And Im 1.0.0 =) I Made My Own. But I Used Some Of His Ideas To Make It.

  • @sebas9504 Just move the repeater that powers the piston pushing the glowstone across one to the left.

  • @sebas9504 It works

  • @sebas9504 Works In 1.0.0!!! I Made The Same One Has Him. But Using 2 More Repeaters And Redstone.

  • @sebas9504 thats a simple fix just run the redstone around the back of the glowstone pistion

  • @sebas9504 Pumpkins :D

  • My design is probably different from yours as I'm trying to google why mine isn't working. My problem is that it works with normal blocks, but if I replace one of the blocks with glowstone it completely stops working.

  • @Justification75 same for me :/

  • @Justification75 this was made before the 1.0.0 update, and so before, you could send a signal through glowstone, after 1.0.0, you can't.

  • After hours of racking my brain and pushing my limited knowledge of wiring to it's limits, I figured out how to do this on my own. Then, I watched this video and realized that I made it unreasonably more complicated than it needed to be. I don't know if I should hate you for this, or thank you. But...thank you :)

  • I tried this in multiplayer, it won't work.

  • @divineagent Okay so I just tested it- and Yes! it works. I will put it up as a video response. :)

  • @divineagent Even though glowstone is now not a sold block, If you made this a block longer, put the glowstone in the middle, then madethe old glowstone a solid block, it might work. PLEASE REPLY ASAP!

  • good but it dont works in 1.0.0

  • this light switch can be fixed, you just need to add a block next to the glowstone

  • DOESNT WORK IN 1.0.0!!!!!

  • is it possible to make 2 glowstone piston light

    XXXX

    XYYX

    XXXX

    Y is glowstone

  • I have to push the button once to switch blocks, and another time to get it down

  • the glowstone doesn't conduct the redstone signal anymore...

  • Could you tell me what mod youre using for that desert? + great tutorial, thanks

  • @stickguy13 Its in the description.

  • the glowstone don't conducts the redstone signal ._.

  • i doesn't work for me :(

  • Okay thanks i figured out what i did wrong.

  • How do you get the button down to ground level while still working?

  • @FoSh0Fauchon I just used a redstone torch chain in the example, but you can wire it however you like to.A redstone wire behind the wall should work great.

  • My glowstone always turn black :(

  • Work great thanks :D

  • @MRCrininer the glow stone pushes the other block and get pushed down just watch the video closely you'll see

  • I adapted this design to work upside-down, the only problem being due to the way the wiring works, I can't make the sticky piston stay up by default, because the other wires affect it. Still works fine, but I have to hit the lever twice due to the way the sticky piston is getting powered (basically it turned into a BUD). Any ideas about fixing that?

  • @yushatak I fixed it by using a button and dual burst latches (see my channel for my burst latch design), but it made the device 3.5 or so times bigger than it was. >.>

  • works flawlessly...

  • Hey.. How do I get it synced?

  • Good now make a bedroom with working light

  • Wait a second... I'm a redstone nerd and I can say that it can't work with normal pistons... All of them must be sticky. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @MrCrininer I haven't tried it since making the tutorial, but to my knowledge this should still work. With normal pistons. Notice they basically push a little bar of blocks.

  • @divineagent I just built it with normal pstons and it works perfectly fine ;D It doesn't matter if the bottom two are sticky or not~

This is such a compact and easy to remember system! I'm going to use this in all my houses!

  • @MrCrininer You only need the one sticky piston to pull the block out the the hole. The other two pistons don't have to be sticky to push the next block into place for the sticky to push down into the hole.

  • @MrCrininer this should be flip flop

  • @MrCrininer the normal repeaters just push the block the repeater with no block in front of it when it is on isnt powered as the power can can jump through one block so the piston that is powered pushes both blocks out one then powering the other repeater next time so it can work if it makes sense (if you still don't understand message me and ill put a vid up or show you on my server :) )

  • It doesnt work!! it only worked ONE time for me -.-

  • Snow...?

  • THANK YOUUUU!!!

  • nice video

  • 2 ticks = 1 tick each or 2 ticks each?

  • STOLEN i just saw the video of a bigger version you douche

  • @Flicktrix88 you know, all because they make the same thing doesnt mean its stolen.

  • slow in a desert ... awesome !!!

  • there is snow in the desert

  • Doesn't work

  • @xXmiomoXx Hmm, strange. Works for me.

  • @divineagent It´s working.. yhey are just doing it wrong :p

  • @divineagent same here. just built one.

  • @xXmiomoXx it work its onley becouse glowstone is transparant in newer versions
