No, its dominated by one rich corporate entity, who pushes Destruction over competition, and Legitimacy is gone with the wind, you could make a case that it died in 1997 when PENDA left Special Events, it tried to comeback with ProMT and MLMT, but ProMT couldnt get a fan base, and MLMT suffered from Poor managment,. the fan base for a legit MT series is, by in large, Gone, those who run USHRA have turned what was once an up and coming Legit motorsport into destruction fueled Sports Entertainment
after hearing kepner's announcing through 3 straight years of monster truck racing ('89 thru '91) i have to say that the comments i heard from kyle petty were much more intelligent than anything that has ever come out of bret kepner's mouth
