This game was one of my favorites in the arcade.. and it introduced me to the concept of "terrible console port". Enemies in the SNES version had no hitstun so you couldn't fight them in melee at all.

Appreciate it. I will try to make more in the future, though honestly i'm not sure how many more since I've done just about all the popular ones that I can think of. At the time that I did these vids, the people I played had similar interest in the games I had, and since we had nothing else to do, just recorded. So I guess it was just one of those things to pass time by.

I didn't know about this game and thanks for sharing your gameplay. It looks like a lot of fun with 4 players. The game gfx looks pretty good for 1991 (besides a few glitches), and reminds me the TV show Batman. Gameplay wise, is this really a beat them up or a shooter? 1st boss, Ultron and red skrull are by far the worst bosses. 80 coins to finish the game!!! $20!! This game only has guys to pick =(

Personally I still like Alien vs Predators (Arcade) and Street of Rage 2&3 a tiny bit more.

Your very welcome and thank you for the compliment :-). At it's core, in my opinion, it is a side scrolling beat em up with some side scrolling shooter action to give it extra flavor. I definitely agree with you that AvP arcade and the streets of rage series is a much better beat em up than this, but i guess its because of the characters and just the nostalgia factor that make this game legendary.

@njporter24 Mame Emulator. A Rom of "Captain America and the Avengers" for the Arcade. Presto! You save money! It is ported to Older Consoles but the "Arcade" Version is the best. Easily on PC

This goes same to "X-Men Arcade", because, I could just get a Mame Emulator and play the Game.

As the Port offered Online (Mostly, people are going to give up Online later on), Smoothing (Looks same kind of), and USA/JAPAN (Get a USA Copy or Japan Copy, easy). Have fun.

I loved the way the music changed during the boss fights when they were getting low on health like at 5:32. It let you know you were kicking some ass.

Whirlwind was a pain for a first boss. Grim Reaper should have taken his place, considering how stupid easy he is by comparison.

back in AWC, vision was dismantled by agents of multiple governments and his synthetic skin was damaged. when he was reassembled, he had a white complexion. i guess the game is using that vision model.

Well, Data East WAS a famous game company in the 80's and early '90s.

In fact, I wish they could've handled the Nickelodeon Nicktoons license.

In fact, I think either Data East or Taito should handle the Nickelodeon license.
