We went, we explored, and finding it WAY too expensive (right now) to do anything long term there, we stopped so we can focus on solving the problems of long term exposure to microgravity so we can go to the asteroids or Mars. By looking back down into the layers on dirt and silth deposited over the millions of years, visible in canyons, you can find the remains of dinos until about 65 millions years ago. In layers just above them, the many species on dinos are gone. Bones from the top layer dinos put through carbon analyses makes the age about 65 millions years too.

What the hell is this about? All I see is a pan of a mosaic of the lunar terminator (local early morning or late evening). The vertical white streaks are image artifacts from the CCD imager due to overexposure; you can see these in MANY CCD images. The excessive light creates so many electrons that they spill into adjacent pixels along the direction that the array is read out.

Marsnib very cool I have many many hours and frames from the mars project and its great that they made that data available to the public. As to the trusting part of the pictures that are available,you have to be very knowledgeable in the different formats of pictures produced on computers.Some formats give you false readings the worst is the jpg format if you mess with it to much filters and such you get a blocky sort of patteren to everything.
