  • For sure all of Christie's mysteries are well written. I started with Poirot then went to Marple et al. You'll need to read and view yourself to decide. I'm older and prefer to set up my own pictures first.

  • Dear Mr. Calihartley2010 “He who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones at others” BEFORE CORRECTING MY GRAMMAR & SPELLINGS SEE HOW YOU HAVE SPELLED ‘GRAMMER’ ITSELF IN PUBLIC FORUM. BY THE WAY IT’S ‘GRAMMAR’NOT ‘GRAMMER’ YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO GRAMMAR SCHOOL WITH YOUR CHILDREN. BY THE WAY YOU HAVE NOT SHOWN SMARTNESS IN REVISING A POST 7 TIMES BEFORE POSTING IT TO SHOW ME DOWN WHEN YOU GOT ANNOYED BY TRUTH & STILL MAKING A BLUNDER.

  • @mrxofuk Big deal, one mistake. Atleast my former comment had no gramatical errors like yours did. So please correct yourself first. I have met Indians and Chinese and they have horrible English skills. Atleast the older Indian people have better English skills than the younger generation. Now go to grade school and learn some spelling and sentences. I bet you are an Indian or Chinese pretending to be a white Englishman.

  • Dear sir or madam, I only intended to say world is globalizing, we can’t live by old standards. Don’t forget U.K. is much smaller than many Chinese/Indian/US/Russian/Brazilian States. Combined population of 2-3 metro cities in these countries is much greater than whole of UK’s Population. And we all know Europe is on death bed (BBC) e.g. Italy. EU needs Skilled Immigrants and strong political & social ties with “BRIC” to thrive. Sorry if I was outspoken, but you started it. "But facts are facts"

  • @calihartley2010 Adding to previous reply- we shouldn’t forget English is their 2nd language (China, India, Russia and Brazil {BRIC}) they are trying very hard learning, that’s why I said they are hardworking. Our Youth doesn’t speak a single word of their language & even bother less to try. Before laughing on their accent just type BRIC (it's mammoth) & Search than Imagine if they become arrogant like French about language issue , crestfallen by out attitude we’ll loose our advantage point.

  • Again only a point of interest USA is spending more on teaching Chinese & Hindi in states of Texas, California & NY. USA is much clever, teachers teaching these languages get higher Pay & students learning them get bonus points in extra-curricular activity as well as academic section- counts in admission in univ. like Yale. USA is training its future active troops & we are laughing on accent of foreigners who are taking initiative to promote our language. Living in past Glory of dead empire.

  • @calihartley2010 Any way Nice chatting with you, am a medical student. after holiday Univ. Exams from 20th Jan. wouldn't be here to reply. Sorry if hurt your feelings in any way, i even dont know your age, how elder you are. The only thing that agitates me that am very liberal & feel Asphyxiated in conservative atmosphere. Remember "world salutes Rising sun (BRIC & US) not setting sun (British Empire). So next time for sake of Britain pls. be moderate. Merry X-mas & a very happy & prosperous NY.

  • @calihartley2010 By the way dear sir/madam you spelled ‘gramatical’ WRONG it’s GRAMMATICAL. One more thing 'AT & LEAST 'are written separately, their combination is different for spoken & written English. There is seriously an issue with you. I checked out your account, there are 1 or 2 more comments regarding spellings & grammar you have written to humiliate other users. Remember ego is self-destructive, wise people overlook others shortcomings & counts uniqueness. Happy Holidays.

  • @mrxofuk very true quote "world salutes rising sun, not setting sun" & "ego is self-destructive" happy holidays everyone & best of luck mr.xofuk for your university medical exam, by the way which year MD you are in...My brother is in 3rd year, medical is hardest of courses, terribly bulky books & hefty schedules, but he is also addicted to net & chick surfing. You all bloody budding docs

  • @minimethebald Ofocurse we all make mistakes and i never said that I am perfect. I too am a human being. I do admit that. I do not have a big ego, just enough to keep my self respect. Wow! Maybe you should join Scotland Yard since you have all the time in the world to check my account and go through on all my comments. By the way it is Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays. Typical liberal retard.

  • why is that everyone's splashing all that water like as if there's not enough time left to do it properly? it's like everyone's fidgeting and hurrying about! not that i have any qualms of it though...

  • I've always been a fan of Miss Marple. I am hesitant to try out Poirot, I worry he won't be at the same level as Miss Marple- what would be the best one to start with? (Book or Movie?)

  • @bostonale Worry not.

  • @bostonale Book, of course. And Poirot IS great, both the book and the movie

  • @bostonale They are both good. I however prefer the older movies of Poirot and Ms Marple versus the modern ones. The modern ones have been changed to include gays, lesbians and many parts of the story have been changed.

  • @bostonale Book for sure!!But David Suchet's potrayal of Poirot is just as good.

  • Bored people with a little bit of power and wanting more. Some kind people who will rule the vicar. Reminds me of the movie with John Depp called, Chocolate." A man there rules the church and therefore the town. Are people really like this in present life or is that too silly a question?

  • This is my First Miss Marple episode.

I really like the intro, and the saultry lady peering out at the window. I must say Miss Marple looks very old, I mean about to drop old! And this story is not as captivating as any Hercule Poirot episode. It will be interesting to see how Miss Marple figures out this mystery. Of course I've yet to get to the crime, with Agatha, there is sure to be one very soon and most intriguing!

  • I love reading the books and seeing how close my imagination was to the TV show :)

    Thanks for posting!

  • I can't imagine having to be respondsible to people like this. And they keep a log of the contributions? Interesting. I wonder what a pound note would be worth in the economy of today? Anyone know? / I looked up the word, "bloody" last night. Yank here. The site said it depended on the times but that is considered a milder cuss word today but I wonder then? And the area of Britian/Australia/Singapore, etc. Depends on the person as well but this was obviously shocking. lol

  • Nether Wallop, the real village that they used for St. Mary Mead, is really a beautiful place.

  • Poor little lumbering Griselda ;-)

  • I think I just saw the Vicar's wife - I knew I recognized her from somewhere. I think I was a Sherlock Holmes episode. I like her.

  • @JonFrumTheFirst

She was in Sherlock Holmes, Midsomer Murders, and Inspector Morse episodes.

  • @JonFrumTheFirst She also appeared in Agatha Christie's 'Appointment with Death' as the monstrous mother of that family travelling around the Middle East - Mrs Boynton, I think her name was. Her name is Cheryl Campbell, and she also played Bundle Brent in the Agatha Christie 'Seven Dials Mystery' made back in the 1980s.

  • I Love Miss Marple, Joan Hickson no one comes even close. She's the best!

  • ould English days;)..The music is great!

  • @tarabanful The good old days before the liberals ruined it by letting in third world trash

  • @calihartley2010 third world didn't came in we first we went there and looted them, for 400 years if you are taking about India, disturbed their classical way of living, making them from old civilization to third world plundered land. we are harvesting what we sowed. now they speak better english than our youth & study & work much much harder. Now we NEED than, europe is on death bed, if you know.

  • ould English days;)

  • LOVE JOAN as Miss M
