Before this series started Alan and his team had already decided that they wanted Stella for the job they had in mind. I didn't like Stella, she was a real bitch at times.

@lizclegg I don't agree at all there were huge holes in Joanna's CV and business sense and yes she did extremely well and really impressed at times but at other times was a loose cannon and difficult to work with. Stella was smart, professional and hard working at all times and took absolutely no crap whatsoever. She didn't bring up her tough start in life over and over again and didn't fish for the sympathy vote because simply she never needed it. Liz was the only one who was fired wrongly.

@lizclegg Joanna commented that even the guy in the shop couldn't believe that Liz would pay that much for it. She may have occasionally not had the greatest interpersonal skills, but she wasn't used to working in bigger organisations where you have to deal with co-workers and politics, and she didn't have that polish. But she still had the most talent and potential.

@lizclegg I liked Joanna she really grew on me especially after her argumentative start to the show she really got it all together and if memory serves correct Stella had enough sense to pick her first for the final task. Joanna though wasn't the full package and didn't have any research done about her potential employer which was a massive mistake and was probably one of the biggest factors as to why she got fired. Stella did get personal at the end but it was at the end & understandable.

Her behaviour in the final boardroom session where she interrupted Chris, tried to tell everybody where Chris was coming from, was totally disrespectful. Chris was the most professional person in that house. And Stella most certainly did fish for the sympathy vote. Once the candidates were whittled down she talked about it all the time in the boardroom, in the interviews.
