I wore shorts all last winter and plan on doing it again this year...reasons:
1. Cause my legs look fat when I wear long pants xD
2. like what they1are1all1taken said, wearing shorts isnt that hard in the winter because people freakout about the cold so much they turn the heat up and then you sweat inside which is gross
3. since I don't wear jeans and am somewhat of a heavy guy, they dont make very many good looking types of long pants in my size, so shorts are just better
Wear what you feel comfortable in. I would only wear long trousers if I had to which gets me some funny comments in winter but the difference between me and them is I'm not interested. Long trousers are rubbish.
How is it that nobody stated the obvious reason to wear shorts in the winter? Which is exactly the reason I do it. In winter all these whimpy old ladies and such turn up the heat, for instance in my sociology class. Why should I sweat balls when I got into somebody else's controlled environment, just to fit in and not be looked down at from long noses? And it's only cold from the moment you get out of the car until you get into the building. Duh? If you ask me, it's colder indoors in the Summer.
If it makes you feel better, I see more guys wearing shorts in Iraq than ever before now that we have liberated their country. From August to September, the Iraqi people will still cover their bodies up to celabrate the Ramadan.
It's much easier for a woman to wear shorts in winter than a bloke because women tend to bare their legs much more than men anyway As a bloke I wear shorts in the winter because it feels comfortable. However I have very well tanned, slim and almost hairless legs which does make me confident to show them off during the colder months.
i wear short shorts year round, but wear skin coloured tight , i mean people shudnt have a problem wi it, im wearing em yur not, im not cold so y do yu care
that chick walks like she has a pickle up there but other than that...I used to be one of them people that wore shorts a lot in the winter, but only at home of course lol
I really don't see what the issue is ... you never see youtube videos on like "Once I wore a short sleeved shirt" ... people seem to get so hung up on wearing shorts ... live with it, it is just another limb (or two on display) ... sure I wear them all the time but the more people publish stuff like this the more it makes me appear a freak.
Actually, I don't think these people were portrayed as freaks, they seemed perfectly normal, they just happened to feel more comfortable wearing shorts. In the UK you see a quite a few people wearing shorts in winter than you did even 5 years ago, so it's becoming a lot more 'normal'
It's just my bare legs on display, what's all the fuss it's just bare skin!
In NZ the lowest we get in most areas is about -4celceus (25farenhiet) and thats only in the morning. once the sun is up its fine, so shorts all year is fine here.
I'm in Britain and it got colder than that sometimes but it was still no big deal. I wasn't completly daft though. My shorts would be longer in the winter, say knee length compared to the summer when they could be mid thigh or even shorter. It was really just a comfort thing to be honest.
I used to get some very odd looks during winter, especially if it was cold or even snowing. If I stopped moving my legs would be covered in goose-pimples! But now a lot more people seem to do this, so it's barely noticed anymore.
It didn't bother me when I wore shorts all the way through the winter. As long as I was wearing warm clothing on the top half of my body the fact my legs were bare didn't mean I was cold.
come to montana were 3 feet of snow on the ground is not a big deal. when half your leg is in the snow, and your shoes are filled up with snow, your going to have pants on with boots. i would bet on it
But the most I ever had to put up with was a few inches and a good pair of boots meant the snow never reached the point where it was touching bare skin.
I wore shorts all year round from my last year of sixth form and right through my time at university. Going to lectures, going out at night, all the time. When I had a job interview I hadn't worn long trousers for about 4 years!

I'm a year round wearer and we're getting to that time when I'm one of the few people still wearing them, it helps to have great legs though!

So true man. Being a truck driver getting up and down off the deck and climbing around is just much easier in shorts. Go the short shorts
