3D Laser Cutting and Engraving

Do you create depth by using 3Dfile or 2D and greys?

I use trotec Speedy 100 , needs several runs to create some depth lol

Love the 400watts (mine is only 40w co2laser)

I think these machines cost about $150,000 and they use their own software. The software is only available for their machines. A 400 watt RF laser costs about $50,000 and up PLUS the 80 amp power supply. Not cheap. You would waste the power of this thing by only cutting chip board. There is another video of it here cutting 1/8 steel plate. It's a nice machine and I would love to have one but can't afford it.

yes this can be used on chipboard and MDF.  It can cut or engrave.
