The monster seems more robust and more like it would withstand even when being treated badly, the Seiko 5 is more a great looking watch and something like a fashion statement. Nevertheless, both are really good and I like them equally.

Kind of. Depending on what you are looking for in a watch you should decide. If you gonna use the watch for being rough I'd recommend the original Monster.
