It was released in the Armageddon's Blade expansion pack. Though i doubt the actual expansion pack is still for sale, i believe you can find Heroes III Complete on Amazon or some similar store. Complete comes with both Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of death, along with additional items for the map editor. I highly recommend getting it now, as it will be worth a lot of money someday x]

Conflux is ANYTHING but abomination, all creatures possess magic immunities, the creature growth is extremely serviceable, the Grail structure offers you ALL the spells, and Storm and Magic Elementals are among the mightiest creatures of their respective tiers.

It was added very hastily, not many new units, bad graphics, and yes the units are strong - which I actually don't like, I think the city's overpowered. Still, other are people are free to like it, or to think it's not strong at all, it's their business.

@fikujez well it may be overpowered but the conflux creatures and buildings are very expensive. also the conflux has (probably) the weakest level 1 creatures. but when playing on the highest difficulty then if you can't find recources then you're done! so i just stick to the necropolis and always win, online or offline. but i sometimes lose when the position or terrain favor the opponent but also weaken me (like whne i get swamp and the opponent gets grassy terrain)

It isn't just the creature stats. Conflux has the fastest openings with no-retaliation level 1, incredible hero specials, guaranteed magic school(s) of choice, a slew of immunities usually only undead have (not to mention 3 immune to armageddon...), and ridiculous level 7 creature growth that also happens to be the guaranteed fastest unit in the late game. The very fast earlygame + ridiculous late game make it OP indeed lol. It's not in SoD.

@claudefrollono1 Agree. Of course Conflux has the best music too. I always enter the town and do nothing in it for like ten minutes just to hear the music till the end because I like it the most. Also, one more thing you didn't mention - aren't they maybe too expensive? I mean those phoenixes are really cheap but I really think that all the elementals have a way too big price. When you combine it with the huge weekly income you always run out of money too early. That's the only thing which sucks

Its OP cause 1 sprite can kill nearly infinite number of slow walkers on grass. +the double growth of level 7. +Luna as starting hero can take conservatories with a few sprites if you use the firewall creatively and have a few levels on her.

Conflux isn't OP. Phoenixes/Firebirds need the extra growth, because they are rather unremarkable stat-wise for their tier expect for their speed. The lower-tier elementals are good, but higher-tier ones aren't that great for their class expect for cost and resistances/immunities.

Their grail structures mostly benefits caster heroes and looses most of its potency on larger maps that have tons of towns. You end-up getting most of the spells anyway.

Ok, I just want to say... conflux sucks! It´s boring and to fucking difficult because the units are so weak against spells. I am probably wrong and I´m sure there is tactics for conflux. But over all, conflux is boring.

The reason it is not in SoD is that SoD is a prequel to Restoration of Erasia whereas AB is a sequel. Conflux is not in SoD campaign for chronological reasons.

The sadest thing about this town is that the lvl6 unit (Magic elementals) has no additional growth, like the phoenixes and the other units. +4 Magic elementals and +4 phoenixes weekly? They should have added a +2 to the lvl6...

Yes, they are incredible powerfull, but the lvl6 unit can not compare lvl7 unit, like they try to do here. There are too many diffrences between the phoenixes and the magic elemantals. Both have powerfull abilities, yes, but 200hp = 80hp? No. The lvl6 is not the same as the lvl7. At least +1...

I will make a top 4 list. Chosed from the magic lores in Homm 3. Whitch includes: Earth, Wind, Water and Fire.

Here it goes:

1. Earth: Because it has slow, Implosion

(So nice!), Town portal and Recurrection.

2: Wind: I think the Haste spell and the Air Shield, Flying spell and Chain Lightning, is enough to tell.

3: Water: One word... Mass Bless and also ofcourse Prayer, and Forgetfullness.

4: Fire: Berserk(so cruel, sometimes), Amagegeddon, Bloodlust, Curse and Blind.

conflux are overpowered in hom3. While their units are weaker and numerous phoenixs are the fastest unit granting first turn in every fight. Casting mass haste grants the first 4 to 5 units of your team first turn vs opposing armies. The opening round of damage from this team granted by first turn and mass haste is near unbeatable.

There are rules in homam3 serious games, where the players are actually experienced and played a few competitive matches. Conflux is most often banned in most games because it is overpowered. Thus you can only judge how good it is when there are no rules - and in that case diplomacy owns all - rampart with ryland will beat pretty much everyone -> everything sucks compared to rampart.

@MuayThaiViking In the original game conflux sucks, because ryland with rampart pwns everyone(everyone besides it sucks). Only on small maps, fortress/stronghold could win with tazar/crag.

Now if we're talking about a game with the no diplomacy rule, then conflux is the best, only on a very small map against fortress/stronghold would win against it, and on a very big map necropolis wins.

On another note I never play as this town. It just doesnt feel right for me and armageddons blade never really included a decent campaign that explained what the elementalists were all about.

this by far was the greatest fraction there was in the hereos saga, Conflux was well balanced. Their level 7 creature the phoenix, the production was astounding, the special abilities were awesome. Even for its states the Phoenix eliminated the completion that was once ruled by the castles Arch Angels and The towers titans, or the black dragons. Conflux was the new kid on the block that came prepared for competition and it showed it. They need to bring this fraction back. Phoenixes for the win!

Yes, well, they don't do amazing damage in regular, but it's a good castle overall. The "best" part of this castle is the #4 on their L7 creature, phoenixes you get every week, and compare that to the regular #2 for any other castle, it's awesome. + They have decent heroes and 2 cheap ranged units. A good town

necropolis is the best castle ever with vampires skeleton generator bone and ghost dragon liches zombies dread knight wraiths your heros have necromancy as a skill and your dead wakes up again. strong resource base stone and wood all things a castle should have. give all other troops - in morale. and with my favourite character in the game vidomina or thant I pwn u all.

Necropolis is only imba when it's played on a Random Generated map. Otherwise Tower, Castle, Conflux and Rampart beats it in general. Sure, you got dread knights and vamp lords, but the shitties lvl 7 in history.

conflux is not overpowered...monsters are weak so they want to reduce the differences with bigger population unit. The most powerful in the game are dungens and tower

but the production of 4 phoenixes a week, along with the imba movespeed, is what makes flux overpowered on large maps. (you also get first spell cast, expert haste :D).

Storm elementals are also ridiculously powerful, too bad they're susceptible to getting bolted though...

This town is realy overpowered...Double population with 7lvl unit, the best 2lvl and 6lvl unit (naga queen is maybe better)...1lvl 7lvl units are the worst in the game but they have higer population as other...best town for beginners (sorry for bad eng. :D)

this town is based around magic spells and spell resistances. Don't forget that elements are as hard and tough as golems.

They have strong sides, it's difficult to blind a creature with magic immunity and multi way attack.

It's from the expansion called "Armageddon's Blade".

You can look for "HoMM III Complete", it's got the basic game and two expansions - Armageddon's Blade & Shadow of Death... 1 new town, several new units, terrain types. new campaings etc...

Funnily enough they didn't. The only reason they went for elementals was to save time because the race they were planning to put in the game got a massive thumbs down from the fans. That's why the structures for tiers 2-5 are just blown up versions of the ones found on the world map.

They were planning to add "The Forge", a futuristic-looking city built using some forgotten technologies (the world of HoMM was once technologically advanced, but then fell into barbarity). Some fans were against it and they decided to substitute it with this Conflux thing.

You can google "forge heroes acidcave" for some pics of it, the site's in Polish but it's got the best Forge screens I've seen so far. I tried to post a link but youtube won't let me :(

Pois, o Wake of Gods é um mod inoficial, eu nunca tentei joga-lo mas tem muitos fãs.

O segundo - talvez estejas a pensar de "Shadow of Death", é o suplemento oficial com algumas coisas novas, mas não é tão especial. Podes sacar tudo no "Complete Version" - é a versão básica do HoMM3 + Armageddon's Blade + Shadow of Death.

Já é muito tempo que estes versões existem, mas HoMM3 é um jogo que não perde nada com os anos a passar :)
