  • the khmer rouge's intention was good, but horribly implemented. a culture revolved around agriculture is possible and can actually benefit the world. but it has to start with small groups of people who want to live that kind of lifestyle. i know some people who want to live like this, but like me, detest violence, but want to preserve and enrich nature over industrialization consuming the world. advanced technology doesn't necessarily make the world a better place. and capitalism expoits

  • incredibly horrible and disturbing outcome of what orwell envisioned in '1984.' it almost seems too insane to be real. over 1-2 million people killed in a four year period. i feel just awful for the victims of pol pot's massacre. hopefully something like this will never happen in america. this is a perfect example of the ideals of communism gone wrong. no one should be forced to become part of a new system. that's why i always believed in eco-anarchic central communities that are voluntary.
