my dxdiag shows that i have on display 812 MB but games only run with 64 mb. How do i have to increase my vram from 64 mb to atleast 128mb?

dude i need help with a problem that i have on my windows vista, when i go to dxdiag and go to the display tab on the bottom left were it says directX features my directdraw and my AGP texture features say NOT AVAILABLE the only feature that says enable is Direct3D do u have an idea on how i could fix it?

A couple of questions. What happens if you click "no" when the prompt comes up, what does runninng 64 bit do, and does running dxdiag alter your system configuration in any way, or is it just to view your system specs?

@networksoldier Both John and I built our computers. My build is a lot crappier than his at the moment, but my build price estimate would probably be around 600 to 800 dollars and his would be around 1000 dollars.

I really prefered the 8.0 and previous versions of the DirectX Dxdiag because of its more detailed pages, which included the files and the version history of the DirectX installed in the system. Now we aren't able to see that, in that interface, as we used to see..

im on directx11, they say its the best directx, im loking for a graphics card to buy, would that mean i need to find one compatible with dx11?

@bamazudi Well the ATi 5xxx series are all DX11 compatible. If you want an nVidia card, it's gonna be a little pricey, but check out the new GTX 4xx series.

In the ATi world, I would recommend the HD 5770 as it is very, VERY cheap for the amount of performance you get out of it.

@crazydudetz 3.0Ghz (gigahertz) is my processor speed. "~" Means about.  So it's "About three gigahertz".
