I'm an ex rotary now a 2JZ convert currently on the build with a RX7 drag car. Still haven't decided fully decided on the motor yet I'm about 80% 2JZ at this stage but not final waitin for Pac to crack the GAS Motorsport record. Hopefully have an answer b4 I start on the motor.

@DjReano mate, They're both going to improve, and to be honest, choosing an engine based on public record is a bit stupid. You gotta go with what you think would be the best for you application. Application matters. Is it full drag? Street/Drag?

I'd get a 2JZ for the street, because it won't be sucking as much fuel. But if you want it for the track only, than it's your choice. For a drag only car making under 1700 hp, You could go with any of the two.
