  • a cyborg may be good for the future but i disagree. i cant really figure out whether to classify a cyborg as a living thing cause structure as a metal endoskeleton but turning dead flesh into living tissue seems very challenging

  • hes ina book to :P

  • This guy is living in a dream world

  • QUIEN ES TU JEFE

  • a cyborg is part man part machine, basically a robot surrounded by living tissue

  • I got here from Tumbleweed Houses.... wtf

  • well if i were old turd like he is i would need some robotics too. but in all seriousness hell no to the NWO

  • hell no to NWO

  • Nobody believes me when I tell them this stuff and my christian brother and step sister want to stay human !?!?!?!?!? WTF!

  • @Bitsmaster1024 Then I do understand them. I'd rather stay human too.

  • fuck being a weak ass mother fucking human I want to do this too it seems way awesome.

  • this man is a fool

  • this guy is gonna be the first real-life terminator :D

  • i will download a virus into your cyborg ass! and you will be my slave

  • this human will kick your ass! did'nt you see terminator 3 asshole we will win. we can genetically engineer our dna and still remain human.

  • Im going to remain human. Thank you. I believe we should develop cyber-technology as it could be useful to disabled people but I would rather die then become assimilated by the Borg.

  • Kevin Warwick is technically brilliant no doubt. But while I believe there could be benefits to his research there is also a dark side. His social, moral and political attitudes are primitive. In his books he talks of cyborgs enslaving humans who don't want to change with a complacency that's chilling.

  • @Taiwanlight

...very primitive thinking. A more intelligent species than the human wouldn't be like human in the societal circumstances we are now. There would be no reason to enslave humans because there would be no use to it. And in a historical view. With the machines, AI and human enhances by technology we will change the organization of production (post-capitalistic) so it would be the best to "enslave" weak Intelligence (without consciousness) as means of production for the good of all.

  • @Taiwanlight I don't think that they will slave who don't want to become a cyborg because humans are competitive beings every one for one or another reason will be a cyborg , i think they will slave who can't become a cyborg, that is why we need to make this technology cheaper as possible and perhaps open Source (i think is the better way), to assure the accessibility to every one in this planet.

  • @Taiwanlight why would cyborgs need to enslave a population ...what could they possibly need a slave force for if biological and mechanical technologies are that far advanced? Humans integrated with machines enslaving completely organic humans seems absolutely ridiculous to me, especially when you consider the enlightenment and lack of fear people who do integrate with machines will experience.

  • @eggfleece You're absolutely right. Talk of cyborgs enslaving people seems illogical yet in one of his books Warwick brings this scenario up. That he does this suggests to me that his philosophical and ethical postions are primitive compared to his technical brillance. This is why I argued against another video poster who seemed to be suggesting that this technology be banned that it was dangerous to leave it in the hands of Warwick and the Chinese government who are also researching this.

  • @Taiwanlight i dont think governments or warwick will be at the forefront of these techs ..its more likely going to be massive companies like google and others ...which isnt a very positive thing at all ...but if the openess of the internet can be maintained and left uncensored i can see a positive scenario blooming from all this. The people need to rise up now to make government smaller and to make sure large companies cant get away with destorying the individual.

  • @eggfleece Well, do you see the people rising up? Maybe the Occupy movement will bring about change but so far most folks are more interested in their pop idol or (and these two are quite ironic) fear factor or big brother.

  • @Taiwanlight This dude is straight up out of the animatrix. He needs more sunlight too.

  • @GeoffTheGiraff Maybe so but who's going to be our Van Helsing?

  • and what about the human to human oppression required to siphon all the resources necessary for you to be able to make yourself a cyborg you imperialist psychopath??

  • No offence guys, you dont know him, you have never met him and if you had you would totally know what you are saying is nonsense, he prefers - NON INVASIVE procedures, listen to this interview he even tells you himself its dangerous, the point being it is research, no implication as to turn earth into any kind of hell. Cybernetics is a study that will one day help people who have lost limbs the ability to do more things again using new limbs built using this tech.

  • Dr Frankenstein?? This man has no real concept of the implications of his research ... lets open the door, sure it might be a doo to hell on earth, but its a door so lets open it ...

    insane ...

  • Skynet isnt so far away now...

  • Hacking into other people's minds? What the hell?

  • Lol, once they get the entire population to turn into cyborgs..Norton's with try to sell us subscriptions for their anti virus software. We enjoy being humans and enjoying our emotions and even making mistakes as we go through life you New World Order idiot. I look forward to destroying you in Terminator 5 "Return of The Robotic Idiot"...LOL

  • i dont wanna have a virus in my brain :D

  • kevin warwick is plugged in to the matrix.

  • You'd think with this technology he'd get his tooth sorted out.

  • I think Mr Warwick should shut his office for a few weeks and head on to the mountains or a deserted island, leave all technology and media behind.

Go get lost in nature, enjoy the senses you already have, open your eyes, enjoy the smells, enjoy some food from a different culture and remind himself of the wonders of being human.
