auckland is trying to look like an American city, but its got long way to go before it catches us lol. I am serious, cuz auckland is like a 3rd world city the last time i was there.

50 is alright, depending on what you want to do. depending on where you go, food can be $10, bus tickets for adult $2-5, beer around $6 and whatever's left for "chilling." Oh, and the movies aren't that cheap, around $15 for the ticket then maybe another $10 if you want popcorn and drinks etc.
Studying english in NZ is cool. Generally kiwi's are friendly, and if its nightlife etc your looking for then NZ is the wrong place. NZ is about nature and culture. If you enjoy things like bushwalks, surfing, snowboarding, camping etc ... then you in the right place. Nightlife/partys is better in london.

Anywhere there is humans there is violence,NZ is NO exception, anywhere there is more than ONE race there is rascism,once again NZ is NO exception,but we do NOT display many of the extreme cases of rascism you'll get in other countries.We are relatively a safe country but always be cautious no matter what country youre in.

In New Zealand, "blacks" are racist against whites, asians and indians. Its a bit different from SA and from what I've seen not as bad, but it doesnt mean that things are getting any better, and that they aren't heading the way SA is.

Worse than Maoris? why is everything looked upon by the colour of someones skin or culture of the body of people rather than their character. One person's wrongs in no way represents the demeanour for the rest. Close minded thinking like this only makes room for more discrimination and leaves an entire society back to where we all started...square 1. i used to go to town every friday or saturday night and stayed till about 1.30am and it was never unsafe.you just need to watch out for the homeless, but they're just as bad during the day, chasing you for money.

No, I don't work for the Auckland City Council. I actually reckon good for you if you moved out of Auckland, if it wasn't for you. I wasn't upset, and I wasn't having a "cry" as you put it. at least, unlike America out health system is actually in the first world. oh and the way Auckland looks dictated by urban sprawl and functionality, if you look at most cities outside of Europe they cool like that.its a school or architecture, that maybe more just as much Japanese as it is American. ps. ever been to a third world? if you had maybe you would know the difference between a small city and massive megalopolis with too many people and not enough rubbish bins.

50 is alright, depending on what you want to do. depending on where you go, food can be $10, bus tickets for adult $2-5, beer around $6 and whatever's left for "chilling." Oh, and the movies aren't that cheap, around $15 for the ticket then maybe another $10 if you want popcorn and drinks etc.

Studying english in NZ is cool. Generally kiwi's are friendly, and if its nightlife etc your looking for then NZ is the wrong place. NZ is about nature and culture. If you enjoy things like bushwalks, surfing, snowboarding, camping etc ... then you in the right place. Nightlife/partys is better in london.

For Outdoors, Id say Christchurch,cos youre closer to Queenstown which is the adventure capital of NZ.Night scene,Christchurch not too bad,but Queenstown once again is better during winter.

Most NZers do not know how to speak english - well, this is an inaccurate statement. Be advised, Most New Zealanders now live in Australia. You will find that most people that live here now are foreigners, or first generation "kiwis" who go around town bashing each other, robbing, stealing and ruining everyone elses night.
