@OneManArmy519 Thats a lie, i owned this game dude i played it everyday with my buddies and i tell you what midway was not lazy making this game, as you can see in MK9 it wasnt made by midway and the ppl who made MK9 just grabbed the same looking scorpion and subzero from this game and put em into MK9. now talk abt lazy who ever made the new MK game is just too lazy to customize their own character designs.

Can anybody pm me whether this game has some option for fighting against active cpu? like Tekken has in practice mode; or some vs cpu with health bars? cuz so far MK was all about replaying arcade with random opponents and that's just weak...

@Chowdizzle There is only one part that is escapable outside of using a breaker and that is between the second and third pillars. Scorpion could have quick recovered when he hit the ground.  Also, the 1-2 jabs at the beginning with rage are only guaranteed online. Offline, your opponent can duck the next set after getting hit by one set.

hey konqrr i have a question i'm a big fan of fighting games like this (tekken, etc.) but i only like ones that are fair and balanced and can be played like, competetively(even though i don't go to tournaments and all that) but hopefully you know what i mean. is this game a game that fits into that category? my friend showed me his old MK game and i never owned a mortal kombat game before. just played them . u seem skilled in this video so i trust your opinion. haha

@smashbrosmaniac This game, offline, is way more balanced than it is online. But for that to even matter, you have to know the game and the game engine inside and out. I would just skip this game as the new MK comes out next spring!

UMK3 and MK4 are the most balanced MK games, play those if you want balanced, but there are many things in those games that might not be considered "fair".

that wasnt a four pillar combo he touched the ground.anyway great attemp but when my camera is fixed im going to upload some crazy combos some which you can only do in practice mode!Look around on youtube and see if you can find anyway videos with a oppenent being thrown inti the same pillar 5x i dont think you will.

Read the description.

Hitting the same pillar means that you turned them off in practice mode and they act like walls. In a real match where pillars are off, they don't act like that. It's a practice mode combo.
