  • fucked up!

  • Indians drive through the most harsh conditions everyday.. No wonder why motor sports and stunts events are not a big hit here... For them, that is just their daily routine.

  • if you can drive in India, you`re able to drive everywhere.

Why? Because of natural selection. In India it`s all about natural selection even when it comes down to driving skills.

  • @ThreeLions89 they could use a bit more natural selection with 1 billion plus people and poor people shitting out more kids every day

  • @LamboK28992 you really don`t know what natural selection stands for, do you?

  • @ThreeLions89 oh, absolutely no idea, please explain it to me in detail, einstein

  • @LamboK28992 it`s not about the numbers you moron!!!! Even if India would have 13 billion people that won`t change what natural selection does!!!

    Typical idiot.

  • @ThreeLions89 I know how natural selection works you fucking spazz, my point is that there are too many people, and obviously you are too retarded to understand sarchasm which i used before you responded like the idiot you are

  • @LamboK28992 yeah yeah yeah... now go trolling somewhere else ;)

  • Indians are horrible drivers, even in the US!

  • In the US state of Wisconsin, you can get learners permit at 15.5 years of age, probationary license at 16 where you can only have 1 non-family member passenger. You then move to a regular license after 9 months of that. To get the license at this young age you must, go through a licensed driving school, get the permit, pass tests, drive with an instructor, then drive 30 hours with a parent or adult (20 in daytime, 10 at night), many parents lie for their kids on this. Price 500$USD 9 months.

  • @focusnbw2009 Then take the final road test. Pass it and pay some money to the state, and you have your probationary drivers license, this prohibites driving between midnight and 5am, the number of passengers and doubles driving demerit points for violations. After 9 months, you get full driving rights and renew once every 8 years.

  • seriously??... i recently had my driving test in india.... and i had to make a figure of '8' a figure of 'H' a figure of 'S', go through a hairpin bend, drive through a bunch of curves in reverse at a driving test track in hyderabad...... maybe they r pretty lenient in mumbai...but this definitly wasn't the case with my license...

  • @123alankar This program was recorded in 1991

  • @focusnbw2009

yeah, maybe that explains it... although even today, its possible to bribe the officials into giving u a license without a test..... and that probably explains why ppl here drive like maniacs!... :-p

  • @123alankar okay, is that the same india which lies in between pakistan and bangladesh which you are speaking about?

I too had taken my license and only an '8' for two wheelers and 'H' for 4 wheelers and no other hassles...

May be they revised the books

  • Damn, That seems way too hard for most people... A small flick to the left and then a flick to the right... Seriously, can't everbody do that?

  • im glad im putting time and efford for my driving licence. here in Sweden we start at 16 and get our licence at 18.

  • @coolakiIlen007 same here but here we dont take test in here, most officers ask for bribes and they get their license fit & finish..

  • @djkasdjkasdjdjdj its unbelieveble! ;) well i can be glad everyone here gets their licences ligit. still many maniacs out there, can never be too careful..

  • wtf?? How the hell is this a driving test??

  • @TheHyperOne90 The man knew where the ignition is, basic functions of steering wheel and brakes were demonstarted. Inspector is happy and the man walks away with a licence. What is wrong in that?

  • @svalson What about observation, reaction to hazards, using the mirrors properly, overtaking, signalling, courtesy to other drivers, making progress at junctions and/or roundabouts, reversing, adusting your speed to suit the road conditions, obeying traffic lights/signs/road markings/pedestrian crossings, giving right of way?

This test is purely on how to operate a car, it's not checking to see if the driver knows the rules of the road. Potentially dangerous.

  • well... an american friend of mine couldn't even take my small car out of the garage even though he has a driving license in the us! XD

  • Go to the Philippines and you will see the easiest :)

  • thats why so many indian lambos and ferarris are broken

  • Most Americans drive automatics because Americans generally like bigger more comfortable cruisers which pretty much only come with automatic transmissions. (Same reason I drive autos and I'm a Kiwi) So, like is has become here in New Zealand, although we (and they) can drive manuals, most cars are automatic! It's an availability thing more than anything else.

  • @cadifan Dude, im kiwi and honestly. All of my friends drive manuals because they are 20x better also, if you actually look there are alot more manual's in new zealand then autos.

  • @dylzab0y Mostly only shit box Japper rice burner "sporty" type cars are manual and the fading out older English cars are too, but look at most everything else and it's more likely to be automatic. Yes there is still a shit load of manuals but there is also a lot of cars here that are only available with auto.

  • @cadifan why have manuals died in many places? Is it because yanks are fat and lazy?

  • @Pentdad Full size US cars often didn't come with manuals. And with auto transmission technology getting better a lot of smaller cars now have them.

  • In Sri Lanka driving is quite a dangerous game as well

  • my dad just told me he knoes someone in india who is blind and has a driving license

  • My first car was a 1956 mustang v8 so i was a bit different from the car the guy was driving lol

  • @nZiKiLL3r george,your 13 --'

  • @nZiKiLL3r Mustangs didn't even exist in 1956.

  • @nZiKiLL3r I'd hang on to that '56 Mustang if I was you because it'll be the only '56 Mustang in existence! (Mustangs weren't released until '64)

  • en mexico no haces examen!!!!

    there isn't test in mexico!!!

  • America isn't so bad....well assuming you do not make the test giver angry. My brother did once, whenever he walked into the DMV that guy stopped what he was doing, and said that he would give the test, then proceed to fail him. At 60 bucks a try its kinda annoying

  • Haha it's Exactly the same in Sri Lanka :D

  • That looks hard

  • same story in bulgaria :}

  • @RexieTheKing That's what I was just going to write :D Браво!

  • I took my driving test in Delhi and all I had to do was drive my car about 10 meters down the road and park, while the chief of the motor department stood at the door of his office and probably wasn't even looking how I did. The written exam took about 5 minutes to do and the questions were quite obvious. I actually participated in driving lessons for a week, which the department didn't even ask about. Later I needed a Finnish licence so I had to redo both exams, and passed on the first attempt.

  • man i love india so much hahah

  • i bet their driving rule book is 1 page, folded in half

  • @couvidan I see that as reduced burden hours.

  • what a mess

  • In Mexico you just pay arrount 40 box and you just do a theorical exam in a computer.

  • Well that is definitely made up. Coz i have got my licence from Mumbai and we have a driving test range in the RTO. And we dint test on Maruti 800s.

  • I'd commit suicide if I came home from this test and would have to tell my parents that I didn't make it :-D must be so embarrassing ^^

  • number of accidents in India is far more less than that in Britain or US

  • In Lebanon same exact thing, only test is half the distance and the bribe is $100

By the way I got a license in the US and in Canada so I did the real exams in both countries, and I have my Lebanese worthless license too LOL

    My wife same thing.

  • I even didn't give a test & m still alive...and in the countries where there is strict driving tests,I guess accidents do occur.... So A test is just a formality....no great fuzz about it

  • I wish u can do that in america

  • No wonder Indian people don't know how to drive.

  • @Rarez2 You wouldn't last a second on the streets on India

  • @BananaManVEVO

thats cause it's shit as hell. having rude and unruly drivers is nothing to be proud of. Clarkson's criticism is spot on. this crap happens all over south and south-east asia and it's embarrassing.

  • Don't betray India !

  • he is free to rock n roll in the streets of india

  • I live in Saudi Arabia, and my driving test was very similar. Two more things made it difficult though:

    1) I had to turn left.

    2) It was a manuel ( and I missed the clutch on the first time )

  • If you drive without sounding out the horn once in India, you will unlock an accomplishment.

  • Thing is though, you dont need all the complex knowledge of other countries, because their roads have no rules to learn, all you need to know is how to use a car and your off.

  • Here in CANADA it takes years, I'll say it again, YEARS, to get your full license that allows you to drive by yourself, anywhere, anytime.

You have to take multiple tests (3) and it costs hundreds of dollars! And most people still don't know how to fucking drive! lol

  • @counterclockwise123 i know right!!! I'm a year away from my g1 my sis just passed her g1 and my other sis just got her g2 after a second try because the driving instructor made a mistake! now she has to wait for 3 years before she can get her G license t go on the highway. It doesn't help that i live in brampton the hardest ace to get a license in all of canada!!!

  • @counterclockwise123 Well, it also tends to cost ludicrous amounts of money in the Netherlands as well mate. Avg driving lessons per student; 44, costing a bit over 40-42 euro's a piece (so we'll make that let's say 1800 euro's, or 2448 dollars) add to that a theoretical exam costing about 40 euro's, and 220 more for practical exam, at which a lot fail the first time, so what are we looking at? 2800 Dollars. Oh, don't forget the avg 58,50 dollar fee for the card itself... -.-"

  • @counterclockwise123 G1 G2 and your full G license. And the rules change every year :/

  • @counterclockwise123 No not years. When I turned 16 I was legally allowed to drive by myself 8 months after I got my permit.

  • @xdx1990 As was I, but that's only your G2 and it has limitations on what you can do and it expires a few years after you get it. Only once you get your G are you a fully licensed driver.

Get G1 at 16, wait a minimum of 8 months (12 for those who don't do drivers education which costs $500) to get G2, then no sooner than 12 months after that can you get your G.

  • @counterclockwise123 Guess it's diff here, I got my license in Quebec. We don't use the G system, it also only cost me around ~150 for the driving school, this was in 2005

  • @counterclockwise123 I believe it. On a major Ontario highway today, off of the slip road with two left turn lanes to drive westward, the female driver in a mid-'90s Acura 3.2TL moved from the passing lane into my (curb) lane without signaling her direction.

Or driving at 100 km/h (the legal speed limit on Canadian highways with full grade separation) in the left-most lane - why?

  • @counterclockwise123 Sounds like Australia.

  • @counterclockwise123 In Germany a license cost 2000€... maybe more...

  • Nuke 'em!

  • Easiest driving test in the world is pakistan. You have not to go for test any where just send money including bribe money you will get license at home.

  • Sounds like Lebanon: drive forward for about 100 meters (with a gear change), stop, park backwards, exit the car, walk to a man behind the desk who will whisk you away saying "that's all" in most cases, but has the option of asking you some questions about the driving code and signalization. Again, lots of people don't even bother with the test and get their licence directly.

  • I met a guy from India while I was in Japan, and he was complaining about how difficult it was to pass the driving test in Japan. This video seems to explain why he felt that way...

  • I wouldnt really be proud of this mess of driving manners. It doesnt matter if you become the most expert driver in the whole of the world, you're driving dangerously and rudely and arent even properly qualified for going on the road.

  • In other countries people spend weeks to get a licence and they are same bad drivers as the Indians! So what?

  • we pay almost 40-50% more for a car in india than in US!!!!!!!! & indians can even drive a space shuttle after driving for 2hrs in mumbai or in chennai.so we dont need a good driving test.sometimes you need to be brave enough to run b4 u crawl!!!!! thats what we follow.WE ARE THE INDIANS!!!!!!!!!! THE REAL CHAMPS!!!!!!

  • @sm0kers manila is CRAZY in driving

  • americans would drive a manual car, its jst that they'll have to dodge all their FAT in the process. Oh and all the McDonalds garbage -_-"

  • @attrzz Ha!

  • i gotta agree, americans suck they can't even drive damn manual and it's like the only thing we drive in europe :)

  • @copymizer the reason why is because we have a lot of traffic and its a pain to drive a manual in traffic so we drive an auto and also most americans can drive a manual just not a lot of people do

  • @Slash396 lol not alot of americans can :P I for one cant :P But then again i just got my licence

  • @Slash396 Erm.....manual is very easy in traffic....just inch using the clutch.

  • @copymizer only a number of Americans can drive manuals, many can't, I can... :D

  • @OrlyDudeGuy I had a manual as my first car and that is all I buy now. :) In fact the first vehicle I drove was a 3-on the tree manual Ford flatbed truck from the 50's.

  • Meanwhile in Manila, Philippines:

    1) Go testing area

    2) Pay "testing fee"

    3) Drive 2 meters forward

    3) Drive 2 meters backward

    4) Leave and proceed to written exam

    5) Take exam in 3mins (all answers are provided)

    6) Leave and get license receipt (card is not readily available)

OPTIONAL: Pay "fee" to expedite to get license card on the same day

  • @sm0kers that's retarded

  • Comment removed

  • @sm0kers well, everything from the test drive to taking the test is ok especially #5 with the answers provided for the test but, #6 "pay 'FEE' to expedite to get license card' is just unnecessary.

  • @OrlyDudeGuy they just wanna make money of off ppl

  • @sm0kers meanwhile in italy :

    1 pay 200 bucks

2 receive the licence by mail.

  • @sm0kers i use to live there and my mom got a license so easily but in america she cant because it was too hard

  • The test may be simple bt if u can drive in India u can drive in any part of the world, potholes, indisciplined traffic, auto rickshaws popping up from anywhere and everywhere on the road, bullying truck drivers, annoying bus drivers, lane cutting bikes, its all there!! plus do that on manual and the westeners wont even last 5 minutes

  • LOLOL

  • @henrybar

Hey! You Can Go Fuck Yourself! :D I myself drive a manual, but you're just pissed your foreign ass can't afford nice cars with automatics!

  • There are no rules anyways so theres nothing to test.

  • @henrybrar 90% of Indians don't own a car

  • @henrybrar alot of people drive manual in US......why the fuck would you want manual in some lower end cars?

They put manual trans in those shitty cars because its CHEAPER TO MAKE.

  • @henrybrar indian drivers suck

  • @henrybrar That's a bad generalization. I drive a standard 1980 Dodge Power Wagon and I'm American. I understand that an automatic transmission will cripple an engine, and so do real motoring enthusiasts.

  • @henrybrar

yeah because 90% of the americans have enough money to buy a corvete or a mustang gt -_-

  • @McFrealy

    Not really.

  • @paschimanagari

    i was beeing sarcastic...

  • @henrybrar same goes for pakistanis too :)

  • @henrybrar then how come when you come here you can't drive either? automatic or manual

  • @henrybrar indian drivers change their tyres on the left lane of an AUTOBAHN. fucking dimwitts. it doesnt take shit to drive in south asia, because cars, animals and people are completely worthless overthere. 90000 Indians die in traffic every year. my experience :

shitty european driver in south asia in a street full of asians->only driver in the sense of the word on the roads

  • @RD19902010

come and drive in indian road one day with all your american knowledge and training you have got. youll understand that driving is nothing about training but about your skills. indians are born and brought up in a challenging environment and they dont require any training to certify the same. as far as population and road conditions in india traffic accidents may be common. but in US people accident in neat clean highways. LOL.

  • @henrybrar India is shit, end of discussion.

  • @henrybrar you're right, also mexicans can drive in most places, very, very agressive driving, and the test is easier, you just go, show papers, take exam (theorical) (awnsers provided), pay, and leave with license, and of course you can get there and just pay and leave with your new license, and still, amazing drivers (of course some exceptions)

  • @henrybrar I'm a yank & I agree. Its a girl car if its a v6 auto mustang. Its not even a car if its a corvette with an automatic transmission. Ive never driven an automatic car & Ill definitely never own one. At some point a person driving an automatic car is just a slightly involved passenger. Here in America People here don't see driving as the wonderful luxury it is, Driving & literacy are inconvenient chores.

  • @henrybrar Hey, I can drive manual, its not my fault my old beater Camaro has an auto trans.

  • 1000 rupees? that must be like 2 bucks or somthin!!

  • @shobin05 no you buffoon. It's 22 dollars. that's a lot for an indian aswell.

  • @crashtubes i made a joke which you just ruined, and LIKE i give a fuck...

  • @shobin05 Jesus Christ, your type of humour is atrocious...

  • @shobin05 its actually 20

  • @shobin05 that's 20

  • Is that Roger Federer?!

  • yes of course pay 100Rps

  • Its true in Mumbai the test is a joke. Infact, if you pay a small sum you dont even have to take the test at all and can have yourself a "fake licence that counts". But you wont last long on the roads. People learn to pull off impossible maneuvers after driving those almost lawless roads that you do find in a lot of cities in Asia. If you can manage driving through a city like Mumbai, you can most certainly drive anywhere in the world, ofcourse with ghastly road manners though.

  • Whats the 11plus and the quantum of physics? THAT SOUNDS DIFFICULT ALREADY!!!!

  • And that fella undergoing the driving test... I doubt if he stays in india judging by his accent.. Its irritating that we Indians get picked on again and again... I learnt driving inside the cantonment for years before actually going for DL..

  • Bloody goofy jeremy clark... We have to drive around all sorts of plastic road dividers and also reverse around yhe plastic road dividers by just looking at the rear view mirror. And road sign identification test im Guwahati.. That Jeremy Clarks always a buffoon. In fact i remember he was making fun of Tatas when they took over Jaguar. When in fact he should have been thanking india for saving the last automobile relic of the so called Great Britain!!

  • Still 2 hour tested drivers and 2 mins tested drivers make accidents. Which is best

  • at 0:27, is the gear lever between his legs?

  • @TeddyGrahamFreak na. it was of the driver and the invigulater. different pants!!!

  • i hope before i die >_>

india will fix the road problems

    so many accidents happen ):

ahhh i wish my driving test would be that easy >_>

so nervous to take it D:

  • @superCHELSEAFCsw6

failed because i glanced a few times at gears whilst changing them... because it was a repeated fault he put it down as a serious... ballbag of an instructer

  • all these indians on youtube are uk immagrants

  • ive my UK test in 2 hours :P wish me luck

  • @colummcclelland90 so how did you do on your test?

  • Wow. Even if that little strip was all the test was in the US he STILL would've failed. He didn't wear his seatbelt, his hands were in the wrong positions, he didn't use a turning signal, and he drove on the wrong side of the road. (Yes, the wrong side in India) XD

  • @Werenumberone1

Why would he have needed to use the turning signal? the road goes one way... you wouldn't use it anywhere.

  • Nerd Comment: When he said 'chaos theory' I thought of Sam Fisher

  • It's true, we do have a ridiculous driving test. Mine in Bangalore was on the busy main road and he had me go round the entire road, but mine was one of the last ones not on a secluded track. Having lived in Mumbai for 15 years, I can say that it doesn't matter as much 'cause the traffic is very mellow. In Bangalore, however, it passed murderous years ago and the roads aren't equipped to handle it so I'm sure no test anywhere can equip anyone to handle it :D It just takes mad experience and guts

  • could the guy from canada please stop being a RASCIST for five seconds, also teh guy from india stop bickering and yes your test is extremely easy lmao but at least its all in good fun :)

  • @TELFORD88

i know our tests are easy..extremely easy..but that doent mean we dont know how to drive...we dare not drive bfore practising..oderwise we r surely dead!!!:)..n thanks for understanding!

  • @ranbirsolanki @TELFORD88 . Mr. Ranbirsolanki, I am an Indian, born and brought up in India and lived in UK as well. Before I moved to UK, this is exactly what I used to think. Trust me, we Indian dont know a shit about driving. In India I have driven more than 200,000 kms and owned several cars (zero accidents) before making this statement.

  • Now i understand why are so many taxi drivers in N.Y. from India....

  • i used to drive in india perfectly...now i m in canada...these rules to follow lights n lanes..make me freaking mad..n they dont even honk...fucking boring!!!

  • @ranbirsolanki assholes we are sick of you! Go back to your snake dancing country. Most of the canadians hates you! FUCK You ANd ALL INDIANS!

  • @NeverDieKnight

hahahaha..you have all the reasons to hate us...coz u r loosers..u cant do anything..no brain at all..so ur govt. begs for professionals n hardworkers like us!

and i m not saying this to all canadians..they are really nice people..but to sum people like YOU!!!

  • @ranbirsolanki true, but you have to admit... the test in india is atrocious. i could probably pass this at 7 -.-

  • @wo0obly

absolutely i admit,,n i m not proud of it...but things r not so bas as its portrayed..but yes to a large extent its true at present..nobody likes leaving their homeland..but there r sum reasons like dis which is bcoz of corruption..n thanks for understanding..my first comment was sarcastic rather than offensive!!

  • its like "nothing can prepare yor for this so why should we even try"

  • indians and their honda odyseys and Toyota siennas

  • once u master indian roads ...you can drive anywhr in the world

  • hahaha who needs License to drive in India??? If you know driving, and if you have courage you can drive!!

  • This looked very difficult I probably fail on my 1st go...

I need to go with the other 'route' the guy suggested & pay my 500 - 1000 rupees. xD

  • why is india so shit

  • @pompyromage because of you, yeah you mate !!

  • this is nothing similar to the test we have today

  • @mithunvasanth no test taken today in UP lol

  • Comment removed

  • 75 people didn't pass the test.

  • shit india

  • what decided to crawl up on Jeremy's head and die? D:

  • I'd be a pro driver in India. I play enough GTA IV.

  • why is there a soviet vladmir lenin's big poster at 1:23? o_O

  • @jayhaoliao i was about to write the same comment lol soviet india wtf XD

  • Look at the start of the video - "Driving Test RECONSTRUCTION". So although it's a bit of fun, it's not true.

  • wowowowowow, tht looked hard
