How to make HD Videos With Fraps and Windows Live Movie Maker

@MissleMan13 This is an issue a lot of people are having right now, it happened the same time the new graphics drivers were released, thus, windows live movie maker does not have the newest codecs. So right now I just use vegas.

@1216saab Do you have a reasonably mid range PC? as you are most likely running out of Video RAM or just RAM

@Zorthos1 Actually my codecs were not set properly for AVI files to be recorded onto windows movie maker. i just fixed the settings and now Im good. I have 8 gigs of ram and 6 cores co my computer is ok.

It happened about the same time that a completely new set of graphics drivers were released, and I think it was that. So I'm waiting for an update from windows live movie maker, as it seems to be their issue.

@LurkinBurger About the same size, when you render the footage it becomes WAAAAAAY smaller, for example, this video was 20gb unencoded, 400mb encoded.

@Pikacute562 when you export and render it, set it to 1080p or 720p. However, if you set the video quality to low, theres really no point, and it'll take an incredibly long time to render.

@elitotaku Try updating your windows live movie maker, if that doesn't work try running windows live movie maker in admin mode, it is an occassional error. Hope this helped :)
