  • Sweet ride. Still got the one I bought new in '95.

  • I had 1 for 18 months, went really well.....stopping was the problem; even new discs, sintered pads, braided hoses etc and she still wouldn't swap.....

Sold her and brought a ZX12-R B6F...now she goes and stops OK

Sort of bike you would have if you didn't want to rush anyway or ride @ any high speed.

  • Is this outside of America? Last i checked (a long time ago) KZ morphed into GPZ then into Ninja. I know outside USA the 'Ninjas' were still GPZ.

  • GPZ's were made in the 80's....this is a water cooled wannabe

  • @bing12345678901, OK. Better call Kawi and let them know.

  • ive got the 1986 1000 #1and always wanted to see these 2 bikes next 2 each other so i could see the differences

  • These bikes are the ultimate "stealth" Kawa. I sold my '88 ZX10 Ninja and picked up my '95 GPZ1100, which in anything but a serious dragstrip comparo are identical. It is my long distance cruiser and also my sport-child 600 riding killer bike. But then I'm an old fart and might have owned ridden a few of these bikes ;-)

    Cheers,

    John

  • nice bike but i got the real one from 1986 yours is a copycat

  • Haha... very poetic... thanks.

  • Hello...i have very similar sound om my GPZ1100 97 year... Is it normal sound? Bit dirty and rough...

  • If you're talking about the high pitch sounds it's a bunch of crows squawking in the background, the bike doesn't make any unusual sounds.
