Thanks for the info. I used the Star Bucks Mocha Frappuccino instead of just coffee. I made it lastnight and it tasted just like the mocha frappe from McDonald's.

I love Frappes, I have been tring to work out the recipe for weeks. I figured out that Ice coffee cubes do work best.....try using chocolate icecream instead of milk and syrup, much creamier. Using a powerful blender is also recommended, I think I killed mine after 3 attempts.

ive never really tried making it yet but this might be a dumb question. i was wondering, are u supposed to let it cool down then pour it into the ice cube tray or can you add it to the ice cube tray right after the pot of coffee is made and is still hot?

actually it makes perfect sense- and I feel kinda blonde at the moment for not thinking of it myself- I have been trying to make it and just kept adding ice and pouring in the coffee- and ending up with really watered down coffee, :-/

@h2oreactor ur right it is kinda a waste but both ways work im sure. ive looked on other sites and they instructed to freeze it in an ice cube tray as he did. Im guessing if u have more time on ur hands u can freeze it but if u dont just toss the coffee and cubes in and the rest and then blend it.

@h2oreactor: Yea man if you use ice cubes then you are adding more water. Plus the consistency is not a accurate if you use non-coffee ice. Trust me, I tried and it is not near as good. Thanks to the user who posted this video!! :-)

@h2oreactor it gives more of a coffee flavor than a watered down flavor, when you blend because the ice melts and the liquid thats frozen will mix in with the drink. so if you have a water based ice than your adding water to the drink = no good. if you dont want to waste this time than just double brew the coffee to get a not so watery taste

@premium1823 personally i like the coffee taste so i add the cubes of coffee and more liquid coffee from the pot then milk then chocolate, and whipped cream on top and more chocolate syrup. its about your taste and what you like, i also sometimes put a spoon of whipped cream in when i blend. try new things you might find you made something delicioso
