I sincerely cryed in silence the day he passed away back then....please let us wish him to rest in holy peace...thank You Mr.Bardens...whats with that odd balance in life that all worthy good persons gotta go?....nature...you are getting on my nerves....
This video was my first experience with this kind of music. I had it taped on a VCR and watched it over and over. I had the cassette "Seen One Earth" Wish I had the CD
I would love to see the video for "Gold" once again someday. I remember seeing it 21 years ago as MTV's very first in a series of "Breakthrough Videos". It feels a lot like this video.
The 1987 album "Seen One Earth" is one of my favorite albums as a kid. The music on this cd is great and it takes me back to jr. high school.
In 2000, the Moby album "Play" is on my favorite Top 10 albums list along with Pete Bardens. But to this day until something else comes along, Radiohead's 2000 album "Kid A" is my all time favorite.
Great tunes from Mr. bardens. . .R.I.P. I have the two albums "The Answer" & "Heart to Heart" if anyone wants a copy of those cd's, send me a PM and i'll give you the download links
totally awesome!! I just discovered Camel and had no idea he was the original keyboardist for them. I have loved this song since I first heard it in the 80's. RIP Pete.
This is absolutely amazing! Pete Bardens was a terrific talent. I totally agree with other comments: His music is surreal, lush and textured. It carries you! Though this song is over 20 years old, it still holds up. I had this on cassette way back when. I wish I knew where to pick up a copy on CD.
Hi Happyhead64! I have two of Mr. Bardens CD's; Seen One Earth & Speed Of Light. If you don't have either one I would be quite happy to send you a copy of both, for the sum of $000.00. If you are interested please get back to me. :-)
sigh...lost track of Pete and Camel after the RainDances album. RIP, Pete...I remember seeing you just once at a show in Madison, WI, USA. You guys opened for Foghat & Wishbone Ash. Camel stole the show & I'll never forget. Thanks
Thanks for posting. I only saw this video maybe twice on MTV back in the 80s, but it has stuck with me all this time. I never knew who sang it so had a hard time finding it. The imagery stuck with me all this time and has held up well.

I've had the album Seen One Earth pretty much since it came out. I didn't realise Pete had been a prog rock god at the time. Great stuff this.

GREAT VIDEO!!!
I remember I 1st saw this on MTV.
I think it was only on a few times then Cinema went under.
Was the 1st I heard of Pete and loved his music ever since.
Was sad to hear of his passing in 2002.
I sent a Further Than You Know CD jacket via Miramar for him to sign in 1995.
Got it back signed with a card from him....still have em to this day!
