Jimmy Buffett is a God!! Best in the entire world. Always has been and always will be. I just hate that South Alabama pissed him off so bad that now he calls Key West his home town. I am from his "real" home town and they know they made a HUGE mistake now.
Sure is a cool song about the recent happenings in the world! Of course nobody says it better than Jimmy! Buffett Hotel is a great new CD. You should definitely pick it up!
I was one of the "lucky 200" there. Was at the right place at the right time! Free 2 1/2 hour concert. and I ALMOST got into the music video, but they stopped panning 2 people before they got to me!!! Lol
Has anyone else heard what's coming December 8th? If you say 'a new Jimmy Buffett album' then you'd be right. Check his website if you don't believe me. I can't wait!!!
Heard this song on Radio Margaritaville yesterday (all the way o'r here in Nottingham UK), my 'Limey' hubby even loved it! The Brits are in the same sinking boat & have A Lot To Drink About too. Well done Jimmy, you da man!
I like Buffetts old stuff and a few new songs when he isn't trying to act like Bono. Stick to songs for entertainment. I'm sick of musicians wanting to be govenment spokespeople for shits sake.
Maybe the first shot of the Revolution will be fired from the Conch Republic. I hope Jimmy Buffett proves to be John Lennon with a sence of humour. You tell 'em Jimmy and don't back down,
We need to bring our wonderful service men & women home Let the Arab Nations duke it out for themselves They can drown in their filthy oil Let Israel nuke Iran's nuclear facilities
If France can utilize nuclear power, so can we
We ought to keep people working here in the U.S. rather out sourcing We can pay China back with interest quickly by drilling oil in the states & regain independence Best of all we can tell the world to kiss our grits!

500 characters isn't enough to fully express all that I would like to. People of Judeao/Christian faith ought not be profiled by our own government.
I need to make it clear that I support our allies including Israel. However, It is not right for the U.S. or any nation to demand that Israel create a 2-state agreement w/ the Palestinians. Let no one be fooled---it will not bring peace. And for those who believe in the Triune God, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, support Israel with prayer.
This song made my day a bit brighter. I love Jimmy and his sense of humor. And to all the people who are sticking their nose up and saying "Why does Jimmy get to view this recession as funny?" What the fuck do you want him to do? He's not a part of the government. Why should he NOT be able to look at this and see the funny side of it?
I am a fan of Jimmy Buffet, and I'm only a kid! ;D

Really? A great drinking song? How old are you? I loved this man for a couple of decades, but he's been one of THEM corporate octopussies for quite a while. He needs to retire gracefully, his heart isn't hungry anymore. Let me enjoy the memories of owning a bar in Cali, Colombia, back in the mid seventies, early eighties with my gringo husband, and rolling my eyes to "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw", when our great customers could feel that Jimmy was one of us! Good times.
The no oversight bailout came totally under the Bush gang...Obamas smaller 'placement' of monies is being completely reveiled as to who and what is getting out money. It was why the majority of people in this country elected him and why they still support him. Rantings of sore losers won't change that.
Its easy to blame someone whos made so much money over the years. One difference between millionaires is how they made their money. Buffett earned his, he has every right to cast blame at those benefiting from the bailouts. As far as Obama is concerned no matter what he does he has a huge hill to climb, and if there is any doubt where that gd mountain of a fubar problem came from then you my friend are an idiot. Bush came, Bush burned, Bush said FUCK YOU to the world.

I used to be a huge Buffet fan. He made his money with an honest view of the world. Unfortunately the money and the business ruined another decent person.
As far as Bush goes. The man is the prototype american idiot, He doesn't have the brains to screw things up this bad. I'd hand this mess over to his running mate and advisors. Bush is just another ignorant religious zealot
Obama and Joe ARE making the volcano blow. Our country is going to hell and it is thier fault! We sure do have a lot to drink about. Using taxpayers money for an auto bailout?!?! Give me a break!
Obama has been in the White house for 4 months. The eight years of Bush, lying, spending all of our tax money on his war in Iraq and letting big companies rip of the American people is what you need to drink about. Bush neglected our economy and lied saying it was strong when it was in deep trouble. Know what you are talking about - Obama has not given automakers a bailout!! He has given bailouts to companies like AIG because if they fail it would be fatal to our economy!
yep only fourth months, and its not at all odd he has done more DAMAGE to freedom and the people than was ever imaginable. He makes Bushes big gov spending look like frinking food stamps.
Every last person in gov needs to GO and go now, peacefully.
I just find it amazing how so many feel that what is going on now is the fault of Obama. He has been in office for less than 4 months and you feel that everything is a result of that? Reality check people. Do we forget the last 8 years under King George? It sure seems that way. To go from a surplus to the largest deficit ever in 8 years is something to be proud of.
If he ever starts his own church I'm converting. I'll be the guy in the front row yelling, "Preach, Reverend Jimmy, preach!!" Amen. ... And Kellyo1985, sure go ahead and rub it in. LOL
Wow,what an incrediable song. Way to go.you have puy reality & good times together, what an impact! Keep it up my friend.Good luck always,Robert Parissi Jr.
You should see Jimmy's oldest work. There's a compilation called "Before the Beach" that's all 60's style protest songs, featuring such hits as "Ellis Dee (He ain't free)" (say it out loud and you'll get it faster) , and "Captain America." BTW, it's not cool to say "jumped the shark" any more. Geez, was it ever?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I have never 'seen' his oldest work, I have heard it though. His protest songs suck. He only has a couple of good songs. "Jumped the shark" is about as old as this washed up old fool is. Was just honoring his age.
Jimmy, even though I'm a Republican, I've been your fan since the late '70's, and my kids have known all your songs since the cradle. All this to say that this song is yet another instant classic.....May the tail winds remain with you-safe flying Bro!
Makes me smile. Thanks Jimmy.
