  • i have a question. where do you buy the capacitors? I think i have the same problem as your video.

  • I'm having the clicking/cycling on and off with my Samsung LN-T4665F, but when I took mine apart I didn't see any bulging capacitors. Any suggestions to what my problem may be?

  • had this problem for over 2 years with my Samsung 52". Went from taking 10 minutes to turn on to almost an hour. Finally it didn't come on for 4 hours and i took action. Had known about the problem thru research but videos like this and others on here were invaluable! Took the tv apart and had 2 capacitors bulged just like described. pulled the old ones out, popped them in, turned the tv on and BAM it came right on! Thanks so much for posting this! saved myself a couple hundred $!!!

  • It is important to first to fire up the TV before putting it back together. That way if further problems arise it is easier to take the board out to fix it rather then taking everything apart again. Also if something smokes you can spot it right away.

  • Sorry folks, got long winded and did not realize our comments were limited. My point, we all work hard for what we buy. I want mine to last forever, it's all in the principle. Anyway, again, thanks for the fix.

  • Because of you and this video I just repaired my LN-T4061F, it is working perfect so far. I was a little worried about subbing a 1000mf 35v cap for a 2200mf 10v cap, but like you said, they work. Thanks a bunch for posting this fix. Now, if I can fix my Dremel. Think it's the switch board. Will try to find one, by the way, Dremel is crap just like Samsung. I went through 3 Dremels in as many months in order to find one that lasts 8 yrs. I know what y'all are thinking. It's old but I take good c

  • Thank you so much guys! I just finished fixing my Samsung with your help.

  • good video.

On first day of delivery had vertical line problems and tv replacement...then

my series 6 just after 1 year exact same problem.

clicking and doesn't turn on ....technician coming this week.

    I'll NEVER buy samsung again.

My sony plasma after 9 years still going strong and not one problem.

    SAMSUNG = JUNK

  • big piece of shit they fail often

  • i want to say thanks also. Your vid helped me fix my TV! BTW, i had no prior TV electronics experience( capacitors, soldering, ect.) but i fixed it my first go around just by following your guide!

  • Just want to say thanks, I fixed my Samsung tv after watching your video. I have no experience with this stuff! Amazon has the capacitors. Total cost 20 bucks.

  • hey man , good video :). i got a conia 36inch basicly its a LG lol , the power light comes on but no screen display , could it be the same problem that you had ???

  • we r going to try tomorrow

  • Hello Whetzel, thanks for the video , very helpful . I just want to ask you if the same type/size capacitors would work for my 40" . Thanks in advance.

  • Best tutorial on youtube!!!

  • Where can I get the caps and solder ribbon.

  • @Sammy31Dee The ones in the video came from Radio Shack.

I have part numbers in the description.

  • @djwhetzel

Hi there, I have to fix my brothers samsung tv, I need to know what powers up the power board, I do see the power supply, but I think I'm missing wires, etc b/c I don't see how the power button on the front of the tv connects to this power board, can you guide me or lead me to some diagrams ? tx for your help

  • What is flux? How'd u clean it off? What's its purpose? To contain the soldier? I was thinking of attempting. Samsung has a third party company coming out to fix it but Samsung pays for the part and the service is 200$ outta pocket. Wtf this tv is less than 5 years old. How can some ppl outta warrenty have there's fixed free and all I get is a 1.50$ cap for free and charged 200$. I will never buy or recommend Samsung again. Thx. Great tutorial.

  • @Sammy31Dee Flux is basically a mild form of acid. It's used to clean the components that are to be soldered together and creates a better bond. It can be cleaned off with Isopropyl alcohol (Rubbing alcohol).

  • Worked Great thanks!!

  • I have a unit like that but it has another problem. It says 'no signal' on either input. It works on the video input but nothing else. Have you ever come across a problem like that? Thanks.

  • I guess the broken TV they were going to throw away at work just turned to to an awesome BONUS for me! This is a Great Video! LEVEL UP!!!

  • my samsung LCD tv power button just went i called samsung i am covered my tv is 5 years old tho but the thing is my tv that i got it had the same thing u had with your tv the capasators were messed up ,so samsung said because of this i a cover no matter what is my warrenty is not there ,so that good news samsung will be at my house on monday so i hope they can fix it for me.thanks for this video it helpe me out a lot.

  • ok i have a polaroid 42 inch tv when it first came to me the only thing that would come on is a blue light, i located the bad capacitors changed them out put everything back together, tried to turn it on but theres absolutely no power supply now. any ideas what i might have let out?

  • A good electronics distributor will have these such as Mouser - youtube won't let me insert link. Search for Panasonic EEU-FC1E102L for the 1000uF replacements.

For other sizes such as the 2200uF caps - stick with the Panasonic FC series. You can search for FC and Panasonic in their search function.

  • FIRST OFF AWESOME JOB!!! The questions I have, are what size ( voltage and uf ) and what type caps?

I was also under the impression of the 6 caps that there are to possibly be replaced, 4 are the same and 2 are different? I was told that the 4 are 10volts and need 16 volts, and the other 2 are 25 volts and need to be 35 volts? do you have the correct info for the viewers, thank in advance, hope you answer this a.s.a.p thanks for the great job. Jay

  • @mrdjs1234567 Thanks.

I have the type/size capacitors I used in the video. I even have the Radio Shack part number listed in the description.

Having said that, there was a user who posted in the comments a better capacitor to use (can't remember their name).

As far as two of them being a different size, I honestly can't remember. It's been too long since this fix was performed.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

    Whetzel

  • Did you ever know that you're my hero? Awesome walk-through repair instructions. Let me be yet another person thanking your adamantly for your work. You rock!

  • @dontd65 Just wanted to add gopitota2000 posted that calling the support # for Samsung worked for him. I called, and it's true. Even though the warranty is expired, they are sending a service order to the local Samsung affiliate to come and repair this at no charge. The support # is 1-800-726-7864. Have your model and serial number ready. There wasn't even a wait for the call to be answered and the service was very friendly and efficient. Good job Samsung.

  • Just fixed my 46'' Samsung. Wanted to say thanks for the video and my total repair cost was $15. Much appreciated!!!

  • THANKS!

fixed my TV thanks to you !

  • Great video! I just fixed my Samsung that I paid nearly $2000 for 5 years ago. Thank you very much for saving me from having to buy a new one!

  • Excellent video- thank you. Just fixed my $1200 TV for $7.98.

  • Thanks for the really clear video. Just fixed my 40" TV, its as good as new. Was my first time with a soldering iron, I'm well impressed. Cheers again.

  • As a person who has professionally designed power supplies ...

Use Panasonic EEU-FC1E102L to replace the 1000uF caps. Use Chinese caps or wrong type and you will be doing this again! Four important factors - cap value, cap voltage, cap brand and Low-ESR. Many people get the first two then fudge the last two. Most people don't even know of the last one.

  • @GPE001 Where do you get these from?

  • Both Mouser and Digikey carry this series.

  • great directions THANKS ! saved myself a couple hundred dollars

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thank you djwhetzel!!!!! I watched this video one time, went to Radio Shack, picked up some capacitors and made the repair even though this was my first time with a solder iron!! TV powers up as if it was new. You are the man!!

  • @michaeldcoffelt

Great! You replaced shit caps with shit caps!

PEOPLE - DO NOT GO TO RADIO SHACK FOR CAPS!!!

  • Thanks a lot for this video. Was having the same problem on my Samsung HDTV - incessant clicking - and replaced two blown capacitors. Hadn't soldered before either. Great walkthrough.

  • Hi, I have a similar problem with my Samsung, when I swith the power on, we can hear it clicking and the red light goes on and off. I found two capacitors "inflated" and I replaced them but it keeps doing the same thing, so what else could it be the problem?

thanks! Maybe other capacitors that don't look damaged?

  • So sick! my tv was clicking {for up to 6 hrs.} and we were resigned to the fact that we'd either need a new tv or just we'd need to never turn it off. watched your vid. followed it to the letter. plugged it in. PERFECTION. thanks...you saved me and my family time and money. very well done!

  • Budweiser in the background lol

  • Dude, you are awesome.

  • Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!!!! Problem easily resolved! Great help, great video!

  • What could else could cause this I checked all the capacitors and there good is there something else causing this please help thanks

  • With this video, I managed to fix my Samsung. I had to replace 4 capacitors and TV works just like new. I own you a beer man! Big thank you! Cheers!

  • Many thanks for this video! I was able to repair my LNT4665FX TV (same model) by replacing two blown Samwha capacitors (2200 uF, 10V, 105 C) with some Nichicon capacitors I ordered from Mouser.

  • Thank you so much for this video!!! The best one out there by far. I replaced two blown capacitors on my Samsung LN52A750 LCD in about 10 minutes and I'm back to watching television. Great job!!!

  • Gracias, Thank you, good job, keep going!!

  • mate you are top bloke woke up this morning tv shagged wont turn on flashing red light(40"samsung) went to maplin bought 2 capacitors and a soldering kit £10.88 took tv apart as on utube also hoovered the dust out of tv removed capacitors resoldered the new ones in worked you saved me 500 quid thankyou soooooooooooooooo much fletch

  • I just finished the repair by myself. I have very limited soldering experience and I had to replace 4 capacitors. Worked like a charm. I am very thankful for this video, my 40 inch samsung is 5 years old now and I really thought I might have to replace it and this tv was very expensive back in the day. Knowing I might get another 5 years out of it without spending 300 dollars to have a repair place do it is priceless! I did the whole job for less than 25 bucks. Thanks again you made my holiday!

  • Thank u Mr djwhetzel will be fixing my samsung this wkend.

  • My TV is out of Warranty . When I called samsung support they told that its known problem so as a courtesy they are doing replace power supply board for free for one time, don't worry about warranty , Please call samsung support right away - 1-800-726-7864. They fixed my TV today morning , I called on sunday and technician here on tuesday morning and replaced power board and it works fine now,

    Thanks all

    Thanks

  • @gopitota2000 Did you have to pay anything from pocket?

  • This was a great step by step video. My LCD tv has been having issues & recently got worse. I have not tried fixing it but after this video I think I can handle that task. Thank you so much. I will be using this video as a guide when I go ahead with the repair. Thanks once again.

  • thank you so much, I just finished up repairing my tv, just as described on your video, again thank you.

  • ive been tryin to buy capacitors .. does anyone know where i can buy them .. online maybe ?

  • ive just fitted 4 new capacitors to my samsung tv, and it turned on straight away however turned off imediatly after? any idea on whats happend?

  • @pu4pk3rs You might have put one in backwards

  • PLEASE READ: I called samsung and they said "Samsung will authorize a onetime repair if the capacitor problem is confirmed. however you may be charged up to $100 if the capacitor issue is not suspected"

they gave me a ticket number and the local repair shop to take it to. my model is LNT4042HX/XAC

hope this helps, good luck everyone and BIG thanks to @djwhetzel for posting this and @choqlat for his post about contacting samsung.

  • Thanks for the video! I watched it once, spent about $8 on capacitors and wick, and had the TV fixed in less than 30 minutes.

  • UPDATE - I just contacted Samsung about my TV and this is what they said:

Rafael: If your unit exhibits any of the following symptoms; does not turn on, repeatedly turns on and off with a clicking sound, takes a long time to turn on, or clicks on and off with no picture, Samsung will provide a onetime, free of charge, courtesy repair to replace the capacitors only...

  • @choqlat nice, i got my tv about 3 years ago. were you within your 1 year warranty? im wondering if i should contact samsung

  • Awesome video. Thank you for saving me from thinking I needed to buy a new TV. We havent attempted the fix yet, but we are NOW excited to try it and see what results we get. I'm positive it will work just fine. I will keep you posted.

  • Thx! so much for posting the Video. I used same micro farads capacitors with more voltage.

But after assembling, I'm seeing the horizontal lines on the screen most of time ..Although Picture is crystal clear...

Do You think its anything to do with assembly..

  • you havent had any problems with your tv since you used different microfared capacitors? i was told to keep the same microfared and just upgrade the voltage...

  • @calamanci i havent had a single problem with it so far, still turns on within 10 seconds and the picture looks great. if it goes bad again ill be sure to post on here, but so far so good!!

(btw thats my TV we're fixin in the video)

  • Comment removed

  • This is great news i have had a samsung 46inch LCD LA46F818B for just over 3years and it is just started to show the bad signs of delayed clicking start up i thought it was on its way out but now this has given me good relief to extend the life of my TV at a small cost thanks for the brilliant video

  • Can we just leave the TV ON 24/7 ...You can always switch off the (comcast) and TV screen look as though it switched..I planning to do this till I fix the problem...

  • 10/31/2011 ...I would like to thank you DJWHETZEL and all others like you that help fellow hard working americans achieve so many things by the stuff you post on youtube. I just fixed my 42" Samsung LED TV in under an hour and spent $15 total in material. Like most other comments I was probably just gonna trash the tv because I heard "It would be cheeper just to buy a new one than to fix the tv". Thank you so much and God Bless you.

  • Worked perfectly! TV starts up every time straight away now - been fixed for about a month! Thanks!

  • You guys were awesome. I have never soldered anything in my life. I watched your video with soldering iron in hand and aced this repair. All told, I spent about $50.00 and I performed what turns out to be a relatively simple repair. The video was very detailed and I felt very comfortable with the repair. I was prepared to shell out $600 for a new t.v.. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge.

  • Today on 10-22-11, My wife, kids and I are stoked about your illustration. After watching your video we bought the tools at radio shack and successfully completed exactly what you've shown. Thanks from the family back home at Oahu, Hawaii. You guys are awesome!!! SAVED US A LOT OF MONEY! $220.00

  • What do you put at 14:00?

  • I have a Question. Can I say that your Freakin Awesome for putting this video up ?

  • This video is amazing! Your a badass! Thanks for the knowledge

  • Well I just replaced 3 bulging 10v capacitors and my tv turns on just fine now. Thank you very much!

  • Thanks for your help! We replaced our capacitors for $25 and it works great. Saved us from buying a new tv right now. Samsung should fix this for everyone, will not buy from them again.

  • Thanks for the video was exactly what was wrong with my samsung fixed in less then a half hour soddering was a little tough but I had a cheap soddering gun thanks your awesome

  • Thanks for the tips. I was already checking sites to find a new TV. Now I spent 2,55 euro and my TV is working again!

  • Hello from Germany! Thank you! Did the repair today! Total amount 5€!

Great and even I´m not a wissard with this, I could easily make it in one our!

took 3 16v, works fine now!

    Thank you from overseas!

  • Almost trashed my 40" Samsung...due to this issue. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I ordered the parts ($12,00 shipped) and fixed it in less than an hour. Works great. Never coulda done without your video. Thanks dude!!

  • Apologies if this was asked already but would you replace only faulty ones or go ahead and replace all the capacitors? Thanks for the great upload. I'll make this attempt this weekend.

  • Hi man, I gotta say that was simply superb. It seems easy,,, when you know how!!

I just fixed my daughters 21" Neon some branded crap thanks to you. I owe you a beer sir.

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Awesome post!! I was so fed up with this "click" problem and was literally on my way to throwing out my set and buying something new until I found this video. Having zero experience with electronics, and soldering, my 13yr old son and I followed your instruction, replaced 4 capacitors and the LCD is good as new!!

  • thanks much for the tutorial, just fixed my 4 year old LTN4061F using the exact steps you did. Replace 4 1000uF 10V capacitors with 25V, and the TV turns on in about 5 seconds now.

  • Thank you for making this video. It was very helpful. My 2.5 year old Samsung 40 inch tv had the same problem. I have never fixed a tv, and never soldered before. Thanks to you, I have my tv back. You are very appreciated. :) - Laurel

  • thank you very good

  • My Samsung plasma TV (4 years old) keeps making clicking noise and does not turn on when on botton is pushed. The clicking doe not stop. I looked on the web for information and found out that Samsungs have a problem with burnt capacitor with similar problem. I have opened my TV and the capacitors don’t seem to be burnt, the tops are not bulging. Two questions: 1) Could the capacitor be burnt without bulging, and 2) What could be the problem besides burnt capacitors and how to fix it.

  • @abzabz7777 - short answer: 1) yes. 2) broken transformer/inverter

  • I have a lg 50pc3d tv and im havin g the same problem but i just had brand new caps put in and its still doing this. You push power and it clicks flashes green 3 times then red like its off. No matter how many times you try to turn it on it will not work. Any one have any ideas or help i greatly appretiate it !!!!

  • Just another Thank You!! Replaced four bad caps and works like a charm. 2 1000uF 25v and 2 2200uF 10v. Great tutorial, easy fix. Thanks again.

  • wow ur vids are really usefull through all of the points you help us fix the problems most people would troll the internet about just to get you to fuck up you're shit.

  • Same problem, caps look perfect..... Started after lightning strike. Solder on the back looks like it may have heated and dripped to new contacts. Will clean up the solder and see if that cures it.

  • I replaced mine! thanks! but before the fix mine didnt have pixels when it actually turned on... but idt that matters

  • speak up.................................

  • Legend!!! Worked first time!!! Although it means I have no excuse to upgrade now :(

  • BUDWIZER!!!

  • I can hear the relay clicking in the tv but It wont turn on. I checked the capacitors on the power supply board, but none of the caps are broken. any ideal what could be wrong with it?

  • Yo DJ, did you go to Collige to learn all about capacitors etc? I fixed a guy's PS3 & a laptop thanks to your video's. Thank you so much! I would however, like to know why the 3 capasitors on this Samsung failed? Could they have thrown in bad capasitors at Samsung when it was constructed? What does a capasitor do anyway? Does it regulate the 'flow' of electrons or something?

  • @TOMANDKATIE From what research I have done, what it boils down to is the fact that Samsung was being cheap and trying to save money by using smaller capacitors than what is actually needed.

  • Thanks!! I just fixed my Samsung LE46M88BDX with 3x 1000uF 10v

Replaced those three with 16v types

    Works perfect now!

  • @seetherealyou Congratulations. Glad I could help.

  • @djwhetzel

just changed 4 capacitors, now no video no startup chime please help

  • I just fixed my '05 Sammy 40" with x3 of the same caps. First go at soldering too! Thanks for the awesome Demo Vid man, I can scratch 'new tv' off the list for awhile longer!! -Nick

  • @ djwhetzel, yes, yes, yes yes i got model Ln-t4665 samsung it started to tak e along time to come on, just clicking. Today it will not come on 8/23/11 so i came across this video. capacitors cost me $3.00x 2 plus soldering gun 10.00 bucks an hour labor. it had 10volts 2200micro farad @ 105 degrees celuis in it. i bumped up to 16volts, and problem solve, thanks you for this video posting.

  • DJ Whetzel, YOU ROCK MAN!!! I fixed a LCD TV that was on its way to the dump when a relative wanted to keep it and see if it could be fixed. I did what you showed me and it now works like its new! Thank you so much for inspiring me to get this done and saving a $2K TV from getting thrown away!!!

  • @Grandhoohah Awesome work. I'm glad I could help.

  • This is an excellent video, thank you for uploading it!! Our Samsung is model LN-T4642H and we bought it 4 years ago. It started to make the "clicking sound" a couple of weeks ago and we were already thinking about buying a new one until we found this video. My husband spent a total of 25 dollars between capacitors and other tools. It took him approx. one hour and voilà!

Thanks again! you helped us save 1000 + dollars!

  • @Yeissell That's awesome. I'm glad I could help.

  • Did you use the iso alcohol to clean after the cap removal? Also I have a samsung computer monitor that wont turn on and I can hear continuous clicking coming from a similar board. Could it be the same problem?

  • @freeze427 its possible man, if its not still under warranty open it up and see if you notice any bad capacitors, if so get the information from them and find something as close to them as possible.

  • @ansible12 I found another vid on computer monitors and they did the same repair as you. I opened mine and it has 5 bulged caps. I just ordered them online. This will definitely be cheaper than a new one. Thanks, Freeze

  • Love this. Now I feel I can fix my tv. Thanks for showing step by step.

  • Nooooo!!!!!!!

    People!!!!!

Do -NOT- use the radio shack caps mentioned in this video!

There is more to replacing a cap than just capacitance and voltage.

These are switching power supplies that you are repairing - you MUST use low-ESR type caps.

A perfect fit and higher voltage version for use in these is a Panasonic part number EEU-FC1E102L. This is a 1000uF, 25V, 105C, low-ESR type cap that has proper lead spacing and diameter.

  • @GPE001 Thanks for the input, but the capacitors I used seem to be holding up just fine. The TV is still working.

I'll keep that model number in mind the next time I do this repair.

  • @djwhetzel

Just remember...the ones that came with the TV held up fine as well...for awhile.

But, yes, the ones you put in are far better than the garbage caps that came out so they should last much longer. Since they were not the low-ESR type (10x resistance or more) - the regulator will run far less efficient. This loss in efficiency shows up as excess heat. It adds heat to a circuit that does not need more heat added and heat is often a big killer of electrolytic capacitors.

  • @djwhetzel

The caps you used may actually last. But, just as well, for the application they're being used for, they also may only last for a couple of years at the most.

A power supply is going to run hot, so you need a cap with a high temperature rating: 105 Celsius as opposed to the Rat Shack caps' 85 Celsius.

Also, since it's being used in a high frequency switchmode power supply, a cap with a low equivalent series resistance (ESR) is a good idea.

  • @djwhetzel

Plus, the caps typically sold at Radio Shack are usually the cheapest they can get and may have a variation of as much as 20% above or below its rated capacitance. A higher quality capacitor may have a smaller variation.

Depending on the application, that variation may not mean much or it can make a VERY big difference.

A high capacity electrolytic may be used as a condenser for filtering out ripple, so you may be able to get away with using a capacitor with 20% +/- variation.

  • thanks I fixed my samsung 40 inch with the help of your video.....why does samsung use these shitty components, dont they charge enough for these tv's?will not consider another samsung in the future.

  • can some please answer this question:

my tv turn off everytime i turn it on..... i check the capacitor and they all look perfeect to me!?!

isit turning off because it has a low voltage (it does not look damage to me so i think it got to do with low voltage) does it mean i have still have to replace all of them with new ones?!?

i all so notice that it overheat extremely fast compared to my living room plasma

  • watched you tutorial video last night, and fitted x3 new capacitors to my 46 inch samsung tv today. problems gone now. only cost me £2.61 to repair.many thanks.

  • Great info! Replaced three capacitors and bingo, problem is gone. Thanks!!

  • hi i just fitted 3 new capacitors, all 3 had bulged but still not working, any ideas please

  • All the capacitors look perfect - no raised tops, no goo, no indication that there's anything wrong with any of them. Can you tell me how to figure out which capacitor(s) are bad when the damage isn't visible? I'm a comlete amateur who is obsessed with fixing this d**m tv. Thaks for the great video.

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial! I ended up installing some larger voltage caps with the same 1000 capacitance rating. The ones that blew were 10 volt and Radio Shack had 35 volt, so I purchased those. They are larger and fit a bit snug against the heat sink but I think it should be OK. Thanks again for the great info!

  • I had 4 bad capacitors on my samsung. I spent less than $20 for parts ( capacitors, soldering iron, etc...) and fixed it myself in just a few hours. I've never even soldered before. This is an excellent video! Thanks!

  • @Ctsvseries That's awesome.

    I'm glad I could help.

  • I'm going to repair this myself. I purchased four capacitors to repair my Samsung LNT5043H LCD television. I did persist with Samsung at Samsung.com. IF you keep replying that you are not happy with them giving you the brush off, they will offer to repair the problem. But should I take a day off of work, wait around all day for whenever they will get there? For $1.79 each, I'll just solder the capacitors myself. I will update the results of my work when I am finished.

  • @brazomatic The capacitor repair works well. I had never soldered on a circuit board before. This tutorial and a few others gave me the info needed to make these repairs. Everything on the TV is working great!

  • @brazomatic Awesome.

It really feels good to know that you fixed yourself, doesn't it?

  • Thanks for posting this!

I'll fix the problem on my current set and to make sure it never happens again, I'll never buy another Samsung product. I suggest you all do the same.

  • Thanks a bunch. According to Samsung, my set is out of warranty so a-soldering I will go! Fingers crossed.

  • what did you apply on the back of the board before you soldered on the new capacitors?

  • @jskennedyjr I didn't really apply anything. I used isopropyl rubbing alcohol to clean off the old flux.

  • @jskennedyjr Wait, are you talking about after I installed the new capacitors? If so, I used soldering flux.

Flux cleans the metal and assures a better solder connection.

  • Kudos to you for posting this. I watched it 2X's, went to Radio Shack and gathered up the supplies/tools, spent approximately $40 and save myself at least $380. The work took the same amount of time for my wife to grocery shop and return. BTW this was my first time handling a solder etc. I actually needed replace 4 (FOUR) bad capacitors. Thanks again for doing this!

  • @edldr1914 That's awesome.

    Glad to help.

  • Hi great video!

Would this procedure also work on the la52m81bdx/xsa model ? It looks fairly similar to the one you have in the video and it has the same problem. Thanks!

  • @rydazz83 I'm not sure which models are effected, other than the ones listed in the tags (under the description), but it's very possible. Apparently, there were several models that suffered from this.

The best thing to do is to take it apart and look for the signs of a bad capacitor. If they look bad, then there is a pretty good chance that you'll be able to repair it.

Good luck and let me know what you find out.

  • @djwhetzel This just an idea but you could maybe do videos of common computer problems and how to fix them.

  • @MrWalrus81 Did you have anything specific in mind?

  • Nice, you also have the same TV as me. Just one question, what happened to you? your never online on xbox360, you dont play anymore?

  • @EduardoMrPT It's actually a friends TV.

I still play every now and then, but I don't have much time lately. Also, a lot of times I'll set my online status to off line.

I will be playing more when Dirt 3 comes out. :)

  • Nice video. I know how to fix my Samsung now if this ever happens.

  • Can you do one on the xbox 360 red ring of death?

  • @thechivo192 As soon as I get another 360 with the RROD, I will be sure to make a video.
