  • Wow! I needed a comb like that when I was younger. My mom liked to comb through my thick hair with a fine tooth/rat tail comb.

  • beautiful youuuuuuu.

  • who the heck would tell you tht you need to get a nose job on youtube... you re one of the most gorgeous blck girls ive ever seen nd youre not really black ur like mixed it looks like but anyway that beside the point, youre beautiful!

  • your my role model...black is BEAUTIFUL :)

  • I'm not going to cut my hair either. I love my natural hair so much.

  • You seem really nice but you don't really seem like a hippie to me. XD

  • @brittneyngray :Nose job? Seriously? what the hell kinda nose do they think u need? Ppl r sooooo ignorant! Id love 2 see the nose of the person(s) that made that ignorant suggestion! Imperfections r what make us unique and beautiful.Half of Hollywoods so called beauties all have "imperfections",some more obvious than others BUT they arent any less beautiful.Beautiful is such a broad term,NOBODY can define it 4 everyone...but many TRY! Ur face is as it should be.Glad u r not drinking the Kool-Aid

  • @BrittneyNGray I love your vids!!! Are you religious or spiritual??

  • What is your natural eye color?

  • i'm a new subscriber and i enjoyed this video. i'm also biracial and have had to come into my own acceptance of my features, and as you know, society doesn't always make it easy! depending on who you're speaking with my features are either demonized or fetishized; rarely an appreciative balance. it's refreshing to hear someone speak candidly, embracing each part of them

  • were can i buy the joico k pak?

  • ..and I use to be ashamed of my black side.. I was raised around my moms family which is white and italian. some of them told me to just say i was white or italian. I never heard nice things about black ppl with the ppl i was around. Now I love that I am unique! I love my black side! :) Your vids are making me learn new ways to deal with my mixed kinky hair and you are helping me embrace the black side more. I love your videos and keep doing what your doing!

  • I love this video girl! :) It seems like now a days most ppl dont talk very nice about black peoples features. i have been studying a lot and observing the history in America. It seems like most ppl think the best look is light skinned, bloned hair, and straight hair is the best look. Some Black people were always told that they would never amount to anything or told that they are not good enough or their hair is ugly. I am black, white, and italian.

  • Keep up the great videos I love everything you say. You're truly a beautiful woman inside and out!

  • First off, I THINK YOU HAVE THE CUTEST NOSE EVER!!!!

Second off, I cant believe someone would tell you to get a nose job or change ANYTHING about yourself. That is one of the most outrageously idiotic things ive ever heard of EVER. you are absolutely beautiful!!!!!

  • Try Marshalls for Joico.. They have the bigger bottle for 12 dollars :)

  • Yeah Joico products are bomb! Well worth it when Ulta has buy2 get 1 free!

  • You make me want to start making makeup tutorials again and videos on waking ppl up on spiritualism and what's going on in the world like the truth behind all the lies we're being told.

  • I think it's very cool how you're spiritual! i think you should look up melanin consciousness. I just graduated from cos. I went to an aveda institute and i went thru managers. it wasn't easy but i'm so happy it's over. i graduated last week.

I think we're the same age. I'm 20 goin on 21. I'm happy that I'm getting more into spiritualism and learning about my soul at a young age and i'm starting to see everything happen around me differently. You should listen to "patience" by nas & damian m.

  • are you serious people actually said you need to have a nose job???? wtf? people are so fucking shallow dude!!....

  • lmao white people or asians have big noses too. i am glad you have confidence in your self that you dont need a nose job. they are so insecure of themselves.

  • @vyanne1 yes thats true some do have big noses

  • As a darkskinned AA woman it was very heart warming to hear such a positive and embracing message from a lighter sister. We need to embrace each other and compliment each other more often. I think it's time black women start rocking their features and making that $#!t hot! We are too unique to be brushed to the side.

  • LOVE THIS MESSAGE!!!I AM ALSO MIXED AND I BELIEVE THAT MY BLACK FEATURES ARE GREAT AND BEAUTIFUL!!!I THINK MORE PEOPLE SHOULD EMBRACE THEIR FEATURES

  • It's so funny that you say that you are not going to cut your hair right after I decide to try to go natural to see how much my hair will grow. I've been watching Chime (YT Channel: HairCrush) and I get so inspired, lol (I sound lame, I'm ok with that). I saw her video about hair growth potential and I was like "That could be me!" Anywho, you should watch it. I would almost kill....keyword: almost....for her hair.

  • thanks for the uplifting words, you are so right about that, we most love the skin GOD has giving us , in never change who we are is people , GOD bless you, thanks for sharing :)

  • All I can say is thanks a bunch. :) Sometimes I feel like white is better. But now I feel better about both the black AND white in me.

  • the whole "white is better' thing also extends out of the black community, in the indian community it is just the same, maybe even worse, im tired of hearing white is better, some of the most beautiful people i have ever seen are dark skinned

  • Ur nose is the cutest nose ive ever seen!

  • DON'T EVER EVER GET A NOSE JOB. Your nose is perfect! I have a longer nose, and I'd rather have a nose like yours. Don't listen to any of the people. You are beautiful. Perfectly beautiful.

  • I am glad you said that about black features. :)

  • thank-you.

  • So glad I watched this video...i really needed to hear everthing

  • your nose fits you perfectly! I dont know who said that but they are the ones with the serious issues!

  • how could people possibly dislike your videos? crazieessss!

  • You already are the best you. Don't change a thing. But please use sunscreen for health reasons!

  • You already are the best you. Don't change a thing.

  • Hi Brittney. Your nose complements your face just perfectly. A nose job would be bad for you. Nice message also : D

  • what's up with the word nappy being used to describe African American hair?

  • I think like you said we all should be happy with who we are and what we look like. Sorry I could not fit everything all together. But i love your videos!!!

  • I think that maybe people don't really know that "black" people have all types of features. Here is a list of some black women who are not of mixed race. Raven- Symone, LisaRaye, Lela Rochon, Pam Grier, Vanessa L. Williams. Many people of different races have big noses or other features that are considered to be "black". So I think that people trying to assign black people with "black" features have it all wrong.

  • @MsRemy6 African Americans are mostly the descendants of west African slaves. They tend to have wider noses, fuller lips, kinky or nappy hair, etc. That is what they mean by black features.

  • @MsRemy6 that's true, black people can have all types of features, just like with asians and caucasians...my friend is ethiopian and has a finer nose, but she's still considered black....

  • @MsRemy6 there are scientists who make their money judging which race certain skulls belong to though. it's not a clear-cut science (anyone of any race can have a flat nose, obviously), but certain bone structures are without a doubt more prevalent within certain races.

  • @MsRemy6 @MsRemy6 somewhat true, but remember most AA have other races in their bloodline because of slavery. Vanessa Williams is Welsh, Native American and African- American she said so in an interview about race with Joy Beyhar The bottom line is African-Americans are diverse and beautiful even if your features are closer to our native Sub-Saharan African ancestors.

  • @knightrhyda amen!! hey i saw that episode too i mean i knew she was a multiracial woman but i didnt know the exact races other than black

  • @MsRemy6 isnt vanessa williams and raven-symone mixed?

  • @amberwitt Vanessa williams parents are biracial just like mine. Raven-Symone parents are black. My point was that we can't go around assigning features to certain races. If I was to say that I was biracial everyone white grandparents should call themselves biracial. But I guess it depends how you view being biracial. I believe that it has to be first generation. If someone is concerned enough to ask I will tell them. But when they see my grandparents or when I start talking Germany they know

  • @MsRemy6 haha both raven symone, lisa raye and vanessa williams are of mixed race...

  • Comment removed

  • @cutechik3494 Okay the Lisa Raye and Raven-Symone PARENTS are black and Vanessa Williams parents are both biracial just like my parents. If people ask I say I am black, when they see my Grandparents then they know. I don't care about race. My point was most people have different racial backgrounds, if it is the parents or thier grandparents or great grandparents. Genetics are weird that way so you can't isolated certain features and assign them to one race. Some Europeans have "black" features

  • I am glad you showed a different side of things. I hear a lot on about race, on u tube. I am the child of two biracial parents and I was raised in Germany . I really don't understand "African American" features. I have natural curly hair that is touching my waist. (I do not wear hair pieces) I am also darker than you. But my but my brother and sister are lighter and have fine straight hair. The way we look comes from our genetic make up.

  • loved the video

    Do more like this

And can you do a hair tutorial please:)

  • Good video!! sometimes I think it's annoying when black guys ask me what ethnicity I am, and if I say african american they laugh or say "ur not mixed with anything?" and they seem to think that i have to b mixed bc of the length of my hair. my dad's mixed, but i'm mostly black, and my hair can still grow just fine. I think some black ppl think it's better to b mixed with somethin, but there's nothing wrong with being just black with kinky curly hair.

  • I hate the word nappy to describe african american hair. Self love people!!

  • @utubeluva01 Me too. Especially when people say nappy as if its a bad thing.

  • black is beautiful . im personally not black , im a liqht verison of an hispanic and i crave for skin with more color because im soo pale =/ . Since i am hispanic i do embrace some black feature but personally i wish i had more , especially their bodies shhhh lol

  • I love your necklace. What is it??

  • That's what's up! I really like this video. Always b proud of who u r no matter what. Dark skin is beautiful also, y do u think they have tanning salons, bc people want that natural skin kissed look :)

  • Where is your necklace from?? I love it!!!!!

  • love the video

  • I'm mixed (black&white) and ppl are always asking to touch my hair, i usually dont mind but sometimes it pisses me off so i'll say HELL NO! lol my hair texture doesn't determine what kind of person i am, also my black family members are obsessed with relaxing hair and are always telling me i need to relax my hair ever since i was really little, but my mother refused to listen to them thank god! because i love my kinky curly "nappy" hair :)

  • This is soo truee! My mom is mixed (black, white, and native american). My skin tone isn't light and isn't dark, just imbetween. People always talkin about me and how I do my hair. My hair type is simlair to yours. I hate how people make it a dark skin/ light skin issue. I hate when I hear people always say how they dislike their features. Be proud of what god has given, I think it is a blessing. I love this video! I can totally relate.

  • Thank you!! black is beautiful.. i love being black, and all my features.. i may be light but like you, i have some very distinguishing features.. and i love getting a tan, bc it makes me feel so ethic.. but that you for this, and keep this message going..

  • i wish i had your nose

  • I do that too haha. It must be a picese thing cus I'm supa deep. Even though I don't always want to be :/

  • i love how you think about all this stuff! and i love the way you just dont care about the things that other people say! would be good for me to just think the same :D

  • This video is amazing because it is letting people know that they should love themselves for who they are, and not conform to societies "standards" or expectations, thanks for this one because it is soooooo true

  • You're beautiful Brittney. You know it. Your subscribers know it. And your haters know it. Good or bad, we all validate your beauty. =)

  • OMG PEOPLE SAY YOU NEED A JOB!!!! Who the heck are they you have the pretties nose ever!

  • I can't believe anybody would say you need a nose job!?! You have a beautiful nose that fits perfectly on your face! You're dry inspirational and I'm already on my hair journey. Glad you're joining.

  • You look beautiful and good thing is: I think you know it :)

  • i didnt even notice anything different about your nose.

  • Have you heard the song "Brown Skin" by India Arie? It's beautiful!!! One of my favorites!

  • @AngryLola Brown skin. Up against my brown skiiiiin. Need some every now and then...

  • haha i have a guy friend who WISHES he has NAPPY HAIR! you're SO BEAUTIFUL!

  • @littlefreco9 Haha my oldest bro is half Mexican so he has straight hair and he LOVES my hair when it's big and nappy and wishes he had it!

  • @BrittneyNGray Your hair is NOT nappy!! It's sooo beautiful!

  • i love this video and it came at the perfect time for me.

  • luv this vid

  • Thankyou.

  • I don't see anything particularly wrong with your face. I think your nose looks good. I wouldn't say that you have obviously white or black features because sometimes features can be pretty indistinguishable. I'm black and have very course hair and it annoys me, but not because I think it's bad. It's because it takes so much more time than I'd like to put into it. I think it's very shallow and superficial to correlate facial features with race. This society has an obsession with race.

  • p.S, I agree with you on everyone embracing who they are.....the world would be a much better place if that took place.

  • honestly, I think your "black" features make you beautiful! I've often noticed your nose, and I think it fits your face perfectly...you're very pretty, nothing needs to be changed ;-)

  • Who could possible dislike this video?? She is so spiritual, uplifting and motivating. I love Brittney!

  • U are a young woman on the right path in life. U listen to what the universe sends u & accept that just because 1 thing didnt work, dosnt mean ur life is over, but that a better way is coming. Ur openess & attitude towards things will be a great happiness for u. Hair is a passion for u. Why would u want to cut short a passion? Let it grow as much as possible!

  • I agree everytime you pick up a magazine black and mixed girls are the last people I see, I just feel everyone thinks white, mexican or whatever basically any girl who is light skinned and has long hair is considered beautiful, and I dont like that beauty many varietys.

  • do a video review on the wand plz!

  • im a darkskinned black and I love getting darker during the summer my skin be chocolaty smooth black and everyone loves it and tell me I should model and I have naturally curly hair and a pointy nose which leads to everyone thinking im mixed I proudly say nope im a 100% black american :D

  • It's called a rake comb.. I love that your saying what you feel today. Happy Tuesday Brittney!!

  • i've been using that comb for years!

  • YESS && ur nose isnt big O.o

  • Those issues are not only in the black community, especially the skin color thing. I'm latina & my skin color is like keri hilson or ciara's & I'm considered very dark, which is suppose to make me feel bad I guess but I love my skin tone :)

  • love the vib..... Nappy is Beautiful!!!!

  • im about to make your day. Do not worry about the burn, yesterday i sat on my flat iron! Yes i sat on my flat iron...believe it or not =)

  • 9:55 she looks possessed

  • your beautiful...YOU DON'T NEED A NOSE JOB AND YOU DON'T HAVE A BIG NOSE LOL FCKING JELOUS LOOSERS! luv you my beautiful mixed sister x

  • gr8 video!

  • Even though racism has become taboo, it still exists. For example, there are many studies showing that Whites are more likely to land jobs than Blacks even though they may have the same credentials, similiar personalities, builds etc. Any feature that is associated with a negative stereotype often makes people feel ashamed. I honestly wish racism would disappear but I feel like even though it is decreasing it will never disappear, and people will continue to feel ashamed, which is depressing.

  • that was mean you have a really cute noses brit dont listen to em x

  • my mixed with eritrean(african) and mexican and people think i had "good hair" before i started to relax my hair. They said that was the dumb of me & that's why my hair isn't as long as it used to be. The funny thing is, is that my hair goes to the middle of my back (it used to reach my butt) and i LOVE my natural hair. I live a busy life & i didnt have time to do my hair so i relaxed and cut 5 inches off my hair to make it easier for me but i'm all about embracing my black features. :)

  • can i do a dbl or triple like? lol this video is bomb. u r a true inspiration

  • I'm a white girl & i don't think that the features of black women are bad at all. Maybe thats something that they think, but i know for me i wish i did have some features that black women have like fuller lips or a bigger butt lol

  • I'm really pale and people have made fun about it before but now I just embrace it. I don't put on a fake tan just to fit in. I think your message was really important, weather you're african american, caucasian, asian, there's always something beautiful about you. I have learned that nobody's perfect and you can't please everyone, so the best thing is just to be yourself and proud of it (: you're gorgeous btw.

  • The Joico K-Pak conditioner is at Sally's for like 5 bucks. It's the generic brand, but it has all of the same ingredients =)

  • tutorial por favor! your hair is amazing!

  • like u said in da video we r actually a blessed race...r dark skin has more melanin which protects us and slows down our aging, our eyes are dark which protects us also our hair is da most unique texture in da world! yet we stay tryin to change it because society tells us all the gud things about us r bad

  • Ur a beautiful person inside and out. I so understand where you are coming from. Everyone should stop aspiring to be something they are not. Thank you for this great video. PS. I have a comb like that. It's called a Jumbo Rake.

  • aww u made me luv u even more! lately ive been really soul searchin and lookin more into my african ancestry n roots(nigerian) and i decided i wanna go natural! in america ppl tend to think the more african u look da uglier u r and the more caucasian u look the prettier u r and dat is not true at all..i have a round nose 2(although mines is way bigger den yours) n ppl try to make me feel ashamed of it,but im not cuz i luv n embrace my nigerian features

  • Great message! Hope it will reach many other african-american hearts and ehlp us all embrace our differences. To think that for the longest time society send us message that caucasian features were better. Now women around the globe want what black women always had: fuller lips, breasts and butt implants, isn't it ironic?? So let's love ourselves:)))

  • i love your words.. everytime i'm down your words are so perfect. so thank you :) *

  • Omg ur beautiful britt

  • i'm white and i have a hard time to get a tan.. even at summer.. i would do anything for yur skin color its just perfection ♥

  • wow no one NEEDS to get a nose job, thats just ridiculous :D

well it may sound weird but i'm white and i always wanted to be black i wanted to look like those beautiful black people i saw on the streets and tv lol i loved the womens noses and hair i wanted it so bad.. now i kinda accepted my "whiteness" .. but i still feel like most of the black noses and hair is much pretter than mine.. :D

  • girl u r gorgeous ppl trip n say mean things for stupid reasons...i dont understand why ppl say things to bring us down rather than uplift each other...ethnicity diversifies the world, shoot color is where its at haha

  • I think ethnic is beautiful

  • The hair is slamming!!! And so is the Advice : )

  • as a client in a hair salon, I appreciated a stylist with a good cut and healthy hair not necessarily long hair.

  • You're beautiful! I can't imagine anyone telling you that you need a nose job!

    Xd

  • I like your nose:):)

I think you're beautiful AND smart..

    I love your personality...even though I don't know you:)

    ^^

    xoxo

  • people on youtube who told u that u need a nose job are HATERS your nose is completely fine and your nose isnt even big like how u are making it seem. your a beautiful woman. YOUR HAIR YOUR NOSE YOUR EYES YOUR SKIN IS what makes you " you " God made u like that for a reason. I would rather look different than to look like everyone else.

  • Great video and well said!!

  • I love the message in this video. You are beautiful. You do not need a nose job. I'm black and I'm proud. I love my African features

  • your nose doesn't look big to me at all!, lol

  • wtf? who told you you need a nose job? lol theres a reason everyone is saying you look like adrianna lima and all of these other beautiful models! your perfect the way you are

  • Beautiful message.

  • aw! you're so inspiring!

  • lol u dont have a big nose at all ! where do u get that from ?

  • You are SO beautiful! Every time I watch your videos I am honestly blown away by your beauty. Both inside and out!

Could you do a makeup look for your look here? I like how it looks like a purple/brown light smokey eye. And your shirt- where is it from?

  • Who makes that curling wand? Thanks

  • Great message. Also can you do a hair tutorial using that curling rod? That large comb is hilarious looking, but it gets the job done. lol :)

  • you are ADORABLE...i don't know why you look so familiar to me perhaps you just have a familiar face...((i just subscribed to your channel)) :-)

  • you are ADORABLE...i don't know why you look so familiar to me perhaps you just have a familiar face...((i just subscribed to your channel)) :-)

  • Woman..you are GORGEOUS! And not only physically but you come across as such a free spirit and an overall wonderful person. Love your channel! <3

  • I agree when ppl always say 'it wasnt meant to be or what not' but sometimes it can come from what your doing in your life or what you did in your past, you dont get away with anything and you never know when it may pop up. Your nose is just fine, ppl can be mean! and Im growing my hair out too!=)

  • Brittney; your nose is fine, your butt is fine, your hair is fine. Go outside, there is nothing wrong with your skin getting dark. Its just a natural reaction to the sun. When I go swimming and surfing, I get dark and don't care one bit. It bothers me that some people see this as something negative. It’s a sad reflection of their own low self-esteem.

  • people have told you NEED a nose job? that's so rude! you are gorgeous and lovely to listen to!

  • This is what I love about you...REAL TALK! Thank you soo much for putting your opinion out here. Btw- your life is a book-some chapters will be long, while others will be short. Life changes are to be embraced:) It's wonderful to see your self-growth. Thanks again Ms. Brittney.

  • "Put a cap on let it penetrate"

  • aha see everything you say is everything i do id love plastic surgery and i don't like going out in the sun incase i get darker cause i don't like that but honestly this is why im subscribed to you i love the messages you send in your videos

  • I love the JAde green on your nails

  • you should see a really old movie called Limitaions of life its real deep and I think its more so something bi-racial people can really connect to

  • @lilflower2003 IMITATION of Life :)

  • @AuthenticMiniMi yeah its a really old movie that my mother in Law showed me this weekend

there are two versions one is in the 1930's and the other in the 50's its about a dark woman who gives birth to a child that looks almost white its really deep

  • Your comments about "black features" hit a cord with me personally. thank you.

  • society's idea of beauty is just fucked up. let's all embrace our features and stop trying to measure up to the next model!

  • great video *-*

  • i love your necklace where did you get it from?

  • im being serious i would have plastic surgery to get ur nose i dont know y but i just really like it lol :)

  • Britney - I'm not mixed with black, but I am mixed with other races and I think what you are saying applies to all ethnic features, and what you are saying really resonates with me right now. Thank you.

  • They might have different reasons such as skin cancer or other medical conditions associated with the sun however i can see where your coming from.

  • you are so awesome brittney for saying that you should embrace your natural beauty and your natural feautures! In another video you also said that you're not gonna colour your hair ever and that inspired me to love and embrace my natural black hair and not colour them blonde or anything and now they're my fave feauture! :)

  • can you do more glimpse into my life videos i love them!! <3

  • Growing your hair long shows that your a patient person :)!

  • hey britney, where do you draw the line between it wasnt meant to happen and giving up?

  • Girl Brittney I think you are just high on life!!! Everyone have a period of growth well some people!!

  • I've got a big nose, but it's a cute nose. My hair may be kinky, but I love it so.

  • Im half white half black also, and if I didn't have my black features, I don't think I would be half as good looking. lol I have a big nose and full lips too. But I love the way everyone looks :D

  • Who ever told you to get a nose job has problems with their eyesight your nose isnt big or ugly, not by any stretch of the imagination.

    Beautiful vid, hun.

BTW Sally's makes a generic version of the K-PAC for a fraction of the price. I haven't tried it but I have tried their generic Paul Mitchell and Chi and they are both great.

  • Random.. What are your 2 fave words? :)

  • I'm a black girl with mostly all white features and I'm not even mixed lol I'm so confused

  • @xOsugaplumfairy It's your ancestry. My friend's family all have brown eyes but she has blue because of her great grandmother.

  • hmmm i know of a few religions that say not to cut your hair :)

  • you talk with so much passion, and i totally agree with you, people need to embrace the skin and features that god gave then, not everyone is the same and if there were, the world would be so boring. i love this video, and ur hair is pretty, and your beautiful and do more videos like this, i really like to learn new things.

  • I can't believe someone told you to get a nose job, wtf. Your nose isn't even big! Your beautiful!

  • Your nose is beautiful. I have always thought that. I'm a light skinned Hispanic and I do stay out of the sun, mostly because I like the way my skin is and I don't like to be tan. I think people that are naturally darker than me are beautiful, but it's not for me. I feel that people shouldn't tan and they shouldn't bleach their skin either. Embrace your natural skin color, it's beautiful just the way it is.
