  • The reporters keep saying she chain smokes. I hope she stops; I hate the thought of losing her to cancer.

  • Diane Rovell has never looker cooler or sounded better Hey wait a minute??

  • I love Joni MItchell. She is in many ways the voice of our Mother Earth!

  • I recall reading about Joni's "latest" album in a New Zealand feminist magazine "Broadsheet" around 1977. The writer was still talking about "gentle folk songs." Ker- rist! Obviously peeps have their own agenda when they listen to her.

  • She was talking about "Nero" fiddling while ancient Rome burned, not Lauro Nyro

  • Guy is a fan for 30 years but thinks Shine sucks? Go deeper, it's a highly beautiful highly creative melodic socially-conscious original work.

  • Bbvfff

  • Joni: both the interviewed and the interviewer. Such a creative soul, such a lost soul.

  • That iconic centre parting

  • Joni is not God but is the most sane and talented artist in my lifetime.

  • she's so cute!

  • Been a loyal fan for 30 years, but this Shine thing sucks.

  • @MonacoBlast not loyal anymore

  • @solidheir Yea. What can you do? I'll tell you this, though. Her genius is also in her paint brush.

  • @MonacoBlast that she is. Im only a young n but i have been listening to her tunes since day dot and i am more thankful for her art than anyone or anything else. Its truly a blessing to have anything in our life thats as beautiful as what she has always given.

  • @solidheir Got a favorite album or song?

  • Wow....to find this site ..on my 58th birthday morning. I have been placing your songs in my motion photography..and watching and listening on HD screen and

it has so awakened me to YOU BEING ONE OF KIND. END OF STORY. But no. then I find your studio...in my neighborhood....Damn! after crying my eyes out watching ad listening to River. ..oh..to be alive and conscious! Thank you Joni.

  • Joni is god

  • Joni is god

  • oaw jonnhy je t'aime ..it real

  • A lot of old artists seem to lose "it" - not Joni. Brilliant.

  • To the moron who thought Joni slept with Leonard Cohen to get famous -- LOL. I mean, who's kidding who? Nothing against Mr Cohen, but Joni got rich and famous for one reason only -- her talent and brilliance. Back when that counted for something. Even with all that, she never was looking for the mass adulation of the far lesser lights that followed. She fucked who she wanted to fuck. She was no Madonna.

  • So ahead of her time.

  • "If I Had A Heart I'd Cry"-- well, sweet Joni, I DID cry when I heard this song, and I'll bet you did too. It's haunting, brilliant, and said as only you could say it dear heart. I've been in unconditional love with your music and poetry from the beginning. All I can offer in return is one person's deepest thank you for every gift you gave.

  • A woman whose soul is too great to navigate.

  • love Joni....hate ciggs & what they do to ppl

  • yesterday i read on internet that she had contracted morgellons...wish her all the best!

  • @solredoc what is morgellons - a medical condition?

  • @WilburyVision yes, it's a new desease dicovered years agò in wich patients have a skin problems..! hope she's getting better soon.

  • Jony why dont You just shut the fuck up, I have spend five years in jail AND YOU ARE THE THING (beside miles) tthat kept me alive , sorry if i come across this way but I thought I SAY THANK YOU...SO MUCH+++++

  • Her voice is so unique now, but I still miss her mid-70s singing voice... sexy!

  • Siquomb Joni

Birth, life and death But our human kind Will build Will mine Will burn Will kill
  • Joni Mitchell the great songwriter EVER, no one like her, neither Dylan or Crosby, Still Nash and Young, she was the first woman in music to write and sing exactly what she wants, in those years it wad so dificult for a woman doing wt she did, a cultural REVOLUTION, not only in music, but in poetry, lecterature and in her own behaviour, she did errors too, but she always payd her mistakes...converted and then trasforming them into her unique musical composition.

  • "Rationally... I have no hope.

    Irrationally... I believe in miracles."

    Me to, Joni. Me too.

  • Me too, Dave. Me too!

  • ancora bellissima!! complimenti!! :-)))

  • Whats with the "Starbucks is great" ???

    1:13 ..

    Damned commercials everywhere.

  • starbucks owns hear music, the company that approached her about putting out new material. she said they were instumental in getting the album made and distributed.

  • Goddess who does not need to be a paragon, she the iconic chick that every girl in my generation wanted to be. She sings better and writes better that all the rest - even with nicotine stained fingers.

  • Don't forget about the late great Laura Nyro and the very much alive Buffy Sainte-Marie.

  • smoking since she was nine. Give it up Joni !!!

  • "Starbuck's is great!" was kinda shoe-horned in there, wasn't it?" at 1:13

  • yeah!

  • mmmmmmmhhhhhh.

    danke. ... für diese harmonien

  • We've had years of her music...get over yourselves with the smoking....You are so apart of the time and political correctness and everything she was against

  • Comment removed

  • @moezmoe1960 Exactly. I don't agree with her smoking but that shouldn't overshadow her artistic and creative sense as a musician. She is alot brighter and wiser than half the 'musicians' out today. I like the fact that she painted most of her album covers too!

  • I love her...

  • Me too.

Just wish she did not smoke cigarettes.

  • With you on that one mate...

  • joni is a legend and consumate artist...on par with dylan and far beyond leonard...you FOXdevelopmentSux are an idiot...

  • agreed!

  • she is wonderful i grew up with her music

here in melbourne we had a radio show on her recently...same category as dylan etc

  • what a wonderful woman wish i was 40 (im 24) years older to be there in begining of her carear would have been excelant

    much love from scotland

  • Stop whining about her cigarettes... You dont like smoke? stay away from it then... But Joni is a living legend. Smokes or not lol. Look at her early stuff... her present stuff... She is brilliant. One of our times greatest songwriters, performers and artists. And... she still looks great.. The lady is 66 for crying out loud.

By the way... she started smoking aged 8 or 9... so i doubt smoking has had much negative impact on her voice.

  • I agree. People could get all hung up on the fact that Jimi Hendrix was taken by drugs and could get really distracted by that, but they'd be missing the fact that his music is genius. Same w/ Joni.

  • Can't people do what they want? I'm sure Joni knows they're not good for her but she does it anyways. Don't we all do things like that?

  • The cigarettes may have changed her voice, but if you look at her vocalist contemporaries, all their voices have deepened and thickened with age - and they use their voices differently because of that. Joni (and Dylan also) use their voices in a more subtle and expressive way to compensate for their earlier coloratura. It takes more than a soundbite to appreciate it, though. Check out "Shine" and "Turbulent Indigo".

  • Shine on, Joni.

  • totally agree joejabberoni!

  • The Fairy Queen ...

  • To me she is the most talented musician of all time ! My all time favourite song writer !

I have all of her albums, however I must say that her latest " Shine" album was very disappointing for me ! It seems to be missing the creativity, soul and musical content of her earlier albums.

  • most pop/rock/jazz/folk/blues/ artists who are singer/songwriter`s have about 20-30 great songs in them, thats all you can ask for ,Now if you look at today`s music scene you cant even find ANY great tunes out there anymore

  • @tonto4848 I guess it's just a matter of personal taste :-) I personally love Shine...a lot of the songs and arrangements really move me and relax me. I have 12 of her albums so far and to me, the only album that took a bit to grow on me was 'Taming The Tiger'.

  • them cigarettes are aging her. I think they've messed up her voice

  • Words almost fail me as tears hit these keys along with my fingers. Joni just might be the very finest of our species. There might not be a god, but there is Joni. Huge love, tezzo

  • Yes Joni Is Beautiful

    And My Grandmother.

    I'm Not joking around

    im her granddaughter

    Daisy-Claire Joan Gibb

    (Kilauren Gibb's Daughter)

i am 10 but some person subscribed

to me just because i am joni's daughter

  • well then you got yourself one coooool grandma. well done!

  • If your Joni's granddaughter, where does the "Claire" come from?? Kilauren's mother's name, the woman who raised her, her name is Ida Gibb.

And, why do you have only one of Joni's videos favourited?

    Sorry, not buying it.

  • who cares what she looks like

    she's got amazing skills

  • ...only the best...

  • A fan since I was 16...genius

  • "Rationally, I have no hope. Irrationally, I believe in miracles." LOVE IT! What a fascinating, creative soul she is.

  • Just watched the video 'Shine'

    beautiful talented vulnerable Joni

still amazing after all these years!

'night ride home' the song is a treat !!

  • yes. Agree

  • And you are a parrot of ageism.

  • Sadly, the cigarette is unattractive and I could live without knowing that Joni smokes.

  • smoking is cool. nonsmoking whining whingers are poisonous.

  • Rome is burnning and people are whining about her smoking, Hah, too funny! I used to go to her concerts back in the 70's, her new stuff sounds great to me, love this gal to pieces (oh man was she hot)

  • Yeah... i think her present music is awesome. Allthough she was a bit of a heartbreaker in the late 60's early 70's :P

  • She is all that and a bag of chips.

Just wish she did not smoke cigarettes.

Smoking is very very very bad!

  • but she's beautiful

  • I read through the comments. My God! What the Hell is wrong with you people. This is why I stopped dating. For the record... yes, I am a man.

  • The best songwriter that will ever exist on this planet - Joni tried deeply to get people to listen about what we are doing to the planet - also her deep "in touch" feelings with herself - this planet/people would be a better place if we all expressed our ways like her :-)

  • can never get enough Joni; she was wise beyond her years back in the day; and continues to be creative in spite of a music industry that has thwarted real creativity; she presses forward as only an artist can, like her, i paint & play guitar & write and it is a way to channel one's energy; like Joni, i choose to do it in a positive, interesting, and at times beautiful way; i encourage everyone to watch NOVA's Extreme Ice and then go contemplate where we are as a species; Joni is on target;

  • ddviolinist : I don't know you, have never had a conversation with you, and you start in on me about "hate?" What is wrong with YOU?

  • tdp2000 (11 months ago)

Can someone please tell me who this taddyd1 fellow is? This is the third Joni video I've seen tonight and on each one he's attacking Joni and everyone who says they like her music. Why is he doing this? Why can't I read comments about the video itself? What's his problem?

    UpstairsMaid (11 months ago)

He's a lonely bitter man who has nothing better to do. It's actually really sad, but I think he's now so twisted that he enjoys spreading his hateful poison.

  • She was always great, but I enjoy her voice so much now as she has gotten older. Amazing capability.

  • Joni is by far richer than the artists of today in pop. The Britneys will be long gone. They will never create a catalogue as rich as Joni Mitchell has created. And I am very thankful that they will not be able to.

  • What is so very sad is Joni Mitchell, views: 106,000; Britney Spears, views: 16,000,000.

  • Sadder yet, is that if Joni was in her 20s right now, making all that great music she did back when, Britney would STILL be getting 25 times the views. Style always wins over substance, unfortunately.

  • If you took the collective IQ's of all the 16,000,000 Britney fans compared with the 106,000 Joni fans, they'd be about equal. lol

Btw, that Amelia video by Joni just blows me away. She's in her prime and pretty dang good-looking, too, if you ask me.

  • Spears is an empty talentless twit. Mitchell is an American icon; a genious musician, lyricist and painter.

  • Absolutely true, IryshGyrl. Of course, being Canadian, she is also a Candian icon.

  • Great point...she is absolutely universally loved and appreciated - "thanks" Canada for your beloved daughter!!!!

  • Being Canadian, she is not nor will she ever be an "American icon". If any statues or buildings or streets are gonna be named after Joni, and they will be, they will be in Canada. She knows that.

  • @IryshGyrl Couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @fergusof Yes, very sad indeed. Britney doesn't even have HALF of Joni's intelligents. I started to explore Joni about a year ago because I was so sick of hearing crap like Kesha & Justin Bieber on the radio. I'm glad I started to explore Joni Mitchell - she most certainly interests me with her lyrics and her music because it's so unique.

  • @fergusof It is sad, but a reality for ages. Most people just do what others told them to like, to think, to whatever … no consciousness of their own, just a ritual to save their pity ass.

  • This woman is so powerful. She is able to just draw you inside of yourself. And all the power and love that she shines can really heal you!

    So wonderful!

  • why hasn't "An All Star Tribute to Joni Mitchell" ever been released on DVD or CD?

  • It has.

  • when? where?

  • Search on Joni Mitchell Tribute.

  • I just did. it turned up nothing but references to the TV show. could you possibly be more vague?

  • Oh Joni...You've been helping our 'little lights' shine for so many years. We love you, Scorpio Girl...Woman of The World...Hopeless Romantic...

I stand in humble reverence...and irrational!!

  • Thanks for posting. Thanks Joni for all these good years with you. Grandma, Eire.

  • a large part of joni's work has been explorations of the human merging with the numinous - but the other part has always been about boys dancing in their underwear

  • She's absolutely right

    She's been right all along

    She's been absolutely right

    And I've been wrong

  • i watch this just to make me happy

  • good video,

    tnks wally:-)

  • Shine has become one of my favorate Joni albums because it reflects the world we live in right now. Like Dog Eat Dog, the music is not so immediate, it just seems to get under the skin, and therefore the lyrics do too. This album came out of the blue. We all thought Joan had retired from recording, so this album has a little bit of magic in it.

  • Not a pro-smoking comment as I don't smoke but I much prefer Joni's older and lower voice as the cigarettes have taken their toll...

  • i totally totally agree

  • She likes the sound smoke has created I suspect. It has it's tonal quality and it's side effects I'm afraid.

  • gees guys get a grip so she smokes so what she is an incredible artist so just leave it at that

  • I think its good for people, be they artists, politicians (rare as may seem), monks, wrestlers, smokers, avocado enthusiasts, war mongers, or Joni Mitchell (!), to express that companies and actual beings once had the (grand scale) choice of whether to destroy or preserve. We still have the choice though, and we can learn from destroyers and preservers alike. Miracles sometimes come from insight, study and good will.

  • Too bad she smokes...........

  • ".. to be optimistic.... you have to be irrational. ha."

Best line I've heard in a long time!

  • will she get an "R" rating for smoking?

  • Time is running out for Joni. Killer song dude.

  • What is that supposed to mean??

My mother smoked all of her life, and lived to 81. And she didn't die from anything smoking-related. Both of Joni's parents made it to 95. Her dad is still living.

  • Hello ApocalypsePlough. My grandfather smoked cigars and Died at 99. But I wouldn't use these stats to say that smoking is a recommended lifestyle. There are other well established data that relate smoking to early and ugly death. Perhaps you haven't had cancer. I wasn't writing about smoking per se, but for Joni, being the irrational person she is, time is running out for her form of paradise on earth. Don't you get that sense from her comments? Thanks for the reply.

  • Good morning, dyamarick.

Of course smoking is not a recommended lifestyle. The connection between smoking and cancer is irrefutable. It has been proven over and over again.

Oh, okay, so you meant Joni's vision of a world without war, hate, environmental disaster, etc, is irrational & unattainable. That's what you meant by "time is running out for Joni". Well, then, she and I are more optimistic than you. I think it is still possible. Getting rid of corrupt politicians is a first step.

  • ApocalypsePlough. It would be good to have some good politicians wouldn't it? I don't see any of them running for office unfortunately!

Have a great 4th of July.

  • "Shine" is amazing.

  • I live in Caracas, the album with Jacko and all those cats... Ive heard it since 1980 at least 500 times and still love it...

check what I do in Caracas Up Tie demo

  • Just how Joni can become so close is the beauty of arousing interest, in stating the obvious, in opening doors in all of us...

  • #2, con't: "

In her new best-selling book, Break, Blow, Burn: Camille Paglia Reads 43 of the World's Best Poems, Interview's contributing editor Camille Paglia offers a meditation on Joni Mitchell's classic song "Woodstock." Here she talks with the music legend about her new album, "Songs of a Prairie Girl," and the many sources of her inspiration.

    CAMILLE PAGLIA: Is this Joni?

    JONI MITCHELL: This is Joni.

CP: Oh, wow, I'm floored to be speaking to one of the great artists of our time!

    more

  • #1FindArticles > Interview > August, 2005 > Article >

Joni Mitchell: "we are stardust, we are golden," Joni Mitchell sang an age ago in "Woodstock," paving the way for a generation of artists to open their imaginations to the gleaming potential of pop and to making music that matters. Here, Mitchell and Camille Paglia discuss how striving for those ideals, in these new, uncertain times, has never seemed more crucial.

  • taddyd1, I am sincerely sorry for your mental problems. Not your fault, no doubt, but PLEASE leave the rest of ur alone in the real world.

  • I have posted numerous quotes - you have never posted one except by way of hearsay ie not the exact quote but your version of what she might've said. I have posted statistics on Joni covers, you have not rebutted them

Your problem is that I *do* the research and instead of you countering it you move on to the next piece of libel on your list. Stop lying, stop the hateful posts and move of Joni videos. You have nothing to offer except hate. lies, and a distasteful way of posting towards women.

  • You're the one who said I was male. I really don't care what gender people think I am.

Why are some of your posts in CAPS..... some not?? Do you have a split personality?? A broken keyboard?? Posts typed in CAPS are hard to read.

  • ApocalypsePlough: "You're the one who said I was male. "

I noticed that, too. What is wrong with this person? I've notified YouTube as has a number of others. I hope everyone does!

"Do you have a split personality?? "

LOL!!! I can't help myself, even though I am starting to actually feel sorry for him. But not much. I love Joni's music.

  • I, AppyPlow, as you so "affectionately" call me, am a female.

I often go on Joni's site, or Google, before I state something I'm not sure of. Not all the time. Some things I know are true.

The post I recently made about Laura Nyro, I remember a girl on Joni's site who wrote about meeting Joni in Montreal, when she was getting her doctorate. She just walked up to Joni and asked her if she knew Laura, and if she liked her. Joni had nothing negative to say about Laura.....

  • I don't remember exactly what Joni said...I searched but couldn't find the exact quote. I do remember the gist of what Joni said.....that she knew Laura, and she was a troubled woman. I used "iirc" in my post, because I wasn't 100% sure.

My point, Taddyd1, is that I often research before I post to make sure I post the facts. I am more correct than incorrect. And, I am not in denial about anything. I truly believe Joni is one of the best singer/songwriters that has ever lived...

  • ...probably THE best female singer/songwriter that has ever lived. She makes me proud to be where I'm from.

And, I love that she tells it like it is. She never bullshits. Which often results in people like you, who are fans of the people she criticizes, angry. So, I understand where your anger is coming from, but, the amount of anger you have, & the unrelenting attacks, are irrational & illogical, unreasonable, & not warranted or valid .... You have an unhealthy obsession. Do you not see it??

  • If she wants to keep her beautiful voice, Joni's gotta quit smoking. Wonderful performance.

  • Liar liar pants on fire! LOL LOL LOL!!!!

  • Post a link to this quote. Back up your statements. I cannot find any reference to it anywhere except on posts by yourself.

  • I have presented many facts including data and quotes. But you only accept facts from men, not women. We know your type - supposedly enthralled with the 'angellic' side of women and hating the 'bitchy whore' side. You cannot see women as human beings, they are either great or they are terrobel. This is one of the most mysogenistic and hateful views of women - women cannot be strong because strong women are not angellic and therefore must be 'bitches or whores'.

  • This is a complete nest of lies. Your only interest is to attack people who like joni. That's all you do. In almost every post of yours you attack Joni and the people who like her, calling women racist, and pigs, and toiletlickers - your exact words btw. so this 'call to reason' is going to be taken exactly as it should - as a pack of lies.

  • From taddyd1:

Your logicless, factless, corny, gangster, racist attacks don't "hurt" me at all.

Because I am a peaceful, kind-hearted & cheek-turning Baez fan, I feel compelled, out of kindness, to pull you Squeaky Fromm girls out of the EVIL web of roberta anderson.

I know by always listening to her bitter self-serving songs your brains ROT.

Yet, I know you must be REACHING_OUT for help because of your eternal emails to me, Mr Kind and Peaceful.

    Yours truly,

    tadddyd

    Truth:YES

    Hate & Evil:NO

  • taddyd1 = "Mr Kind and Peaceful"

    LOL!!!

    See his * post *

  • No. Joni is the kind of strong women a despicabe ankle biter like yourself loves to hate and tries to libel. You are a pathetic excuse for a man.

  • tdp2000 : LOL! But as ApocalypsePlough points out, taddyd1 may well be mentally ill and we should ignore him (I say after we report him). But your descriptive comments always make me laugh! Even though I know I shouldn't. Can't help it!

  • #4: Anyone who is violated by another person here has the right and obligation to report abusive individuals. I would never say "don't do it just because they might open another account."

ApocalypsePlough, I think you come across very well in your responses to him. I would do well to emulate the same. I am going to choose to ignore this poisonous individual from now on. Thanks for your comments.

  • #3: I have had young girls contact me due to the personal threats he has issued to them. You haven't seen this part in his general "comments" section. taddyd1 has gone too far many times over, and fits the description of "member abuse." It's called internet stalking, not free speech, and it is against the YouTube community rules.

  • Well, if that's the case, then maybe he should be banned. I was unaware of threats he was making off board. I'm also not that familiar with YouTube rules.

I think Taddyd1 needs psychiatric help. The fact that he mentions the drug Thorazine a lot tells me he has experience with it, and thus, has mental health problems. I work in the mental health field. Thorazine is a drug used to treat psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia.

  • Psychotic people are unable to distinguish what is real from what is not. Taddyd1's hatred of Joni, his obsession with Joan Baez, is coming from a deluded mind.

Taddyd1 - celebrity obsessions are pointless. You ain't gonna change what people think about Joni, especially not with these repetitive posts you make, & your gutter language.

It's Spring!!! - get outside and enjoy yourself. Go for walks, bike, hit the malls, join some social groups, spend time with friends & family...

  • ....find a hobby or something that will occupy your thoughts, instead of the Joni hatred. The more time you spend away from your computer, the better. Seek professional help.... there are people and medications out there that can help you. I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, just trying to help.

  • ApocalypsePlough: I figured you didn't know "the extent of it" with taddyd1. I too thought he must have experience with Thorazine etc. because he mentions it so much. He has said that he is trying to "save us from the cult of Joni," and it's "his cross to bear, but he will bear it" etc.

I really do think he is mentally ill. But I end up taking the bait sometimes. I will ignore him, AFTER I've reported him.

ApocalypsePlough, you have such a kind heart, YouTube needs more people like you!

  • joni's gutter behavior is the problem and your weak rationalizations and denials of it are disturbing.

"how can people be so cruel?"

  • I have made no threats and keep 99% of my comments in this public forum. catherine todd continually writes gangster remarks, just read them on this site. Where are any violent threats from me? I had to block her from writing me personally. I don't think any of you other Joni goupies are willing to kill for Charles Manson I mean Joni yet, except her.

Right you are, about Thorazine, and that is why I've bigged her to take hers, for her on good. CT has written very threatening messages privately!

  • taddyd1: "have made no threats... catherine todd continually writes gangster remarks... I don't think any of you other Joni goupies are willing to kill for Charles Manson I mean Joni yet, except her..."

Taddyd1, I haven't been here for a long time, but some of your remarks have me truly LOL! I haven't threatened you, I have just insisted that you stop attacking everyone else, including Joni. I hope you are feeling better & continue to stay away. Thanks for giving it a rest, at long last. Peace.

  • I'm here and i am against taddyd1 anyone else?

  • Antitodo2889 : Report taddyd1 to YouTube for harassment and violation of community rules. He attacks anyone and everyone that doesn't agree 100% with whatever nonsense he is writing at the time. He is mental illness personified. If enough of us report him, hopefully his account will be closed and we will be able to enjoy the videos and comments as they are intended to be. You are not alone!

  • I don't think closing his account is gonna keep him away. He will just open another one under a different name. I'm not sure how YouTube bans people. By username??..he will just change his name. By email address??...he will get another. By ISP number?? He will either move or use a proxy.

I, actually, don't believe in banning people from boards unless they are uttering threats. I believe in free speech......

  • ....If you believe in free speech, you have to believe everybody has the right to say what they want. People have to understand that YouTube isn't a fan board. Singers, actors, entertainers, politicians, etc, aren't, and shouldn't be, exempt from criticism, even if it is relentless, or baseless...or is directed toward someone, such as Joni, who means a lot to the majority of people here, including myself.

  • I mean, she's from Saskatoon, the Canadian Prairies, where I'm from, she grew up a few hundred miles west of me...same weather, same landscape, same kind of people and accents, same Prairie mentality......if she means a lot to you, then, think how much she means to people around here...I think she's the best thing that came out of this country.

  • Having said all that, I still believe Taddyd1 has the right to say what he wants. His posts about Joni & her daughter, in particular, bother me, a lot......I don't agree with 99.9% of what he says, but do believe he has the right to say it.

The best solution is to try to ignore him. He obviously has some mental health issues, and is obsessed with the women singers he writes about. He sees Joni as a threat to Joan Baez and her place in history, thinking his posts here will somehow change that.

  • #2: YouTube has a section called "report harassment" that fits taddyd1 very well. I've seen other people like him have their accounts closed. If he chooses to reopen one, and behave the same way, then that one will be closed as well. There's a difference between Free Speech & saying you don't like someone's music and calling them "KKK" or "Communist" as he's done to others on this board, because they DO like someone's music that he doesn't.

I, actually, don't believe in banning people from boards unless they are uttering threats. I believe in free speech..."

I have to agree with you on these points. But when it gets to calling people abusive names, committing hate crimes (verbal or physical) and libeling/ slandering or sending hate mail to others that I, YouTube - and the law - draw the line.
