God did not speak the entire universe into existance he spoke light and other laws like it. He took the time to make the other things and some things may have even been made indirectly by his power. We can't know exactly how each thing was created but saying that simply what happened is going a bit too far. It is not good to generalise like that.
I doubt people regularly were over 10 feet tall even though there is some contreversy with hominins but just over 9 feet is about right. For most of human hsytory the average age was lucky to reach the early 40s. The average life expectancy has went up and down and there is a pretty smooth continuum of average age for each culture, we do life quite a bit longer than a few centuries ago.

He does not know his timeline is that smooth, I believe the Earth and most of the universe is somewhere between 13,000 and 14,000 years old slightly closer to 14 thousand. This doesn't reflect badly there is just too much stuff that has happened to limit it to his timeline, there are many Young Earth Creationists that beleive the Earth is just over 10,000 eyars old.
furthermore, The bible calls the earth a circle many times. This makes sense because all other heavenly bodies are circles, so why not assume the earth is too. Nowhere does it say sphere or ball, but it does say tat the earth has edges, corners and a foundation. It is likely that they thought the earth was a flat disk.

Look at the creation evidence museum online and read the evidence they have on there.
In general, there is no evidence for evolution. No scientist has a transistional fossil of one species changing into another. They basicaly make it up.

@MetallicaAndy If you really understand the theory of evolution, then EVERY fossil is a transitional fossil. Scientists don't have any half-and-half fossils because they are not looking for one. As a matter of fact, if a half-and-half fossil were found, it would actually disprove the theory of evolution.
There are so many transitional fossils found just in hominids that scientists argue which are our ancestors and which are evolutionary dead ends.

The connections between the Jesus story and Attis and Horus and even the similarities with Hindu gods have been talked about forever. Somebody tell Hovind that if he wants to read the OT he shouldn't use a translation, but the Hebrew version of it. That has been unchanged since 90 AD. And there is NO "definite article" there !!! It is so stupid when people interpret the OT from a translation (English) of a translation (Latin) of a translation (Greek) of the original (Hebrew) which was even changed and re-interpreted when Yeshua ben Yoseph walked the earth.
Not everyone speaks Hebrew. I don't. I do know that the only trusted scripture is Textus Receptus. Anything that came out of Egypt, Alexandria, and eventually Rome can most certainly not be trusted. If you can read Hebrew that is great. I wish I could but I have never really tried. I do look up what the Hebrew text says but that needs to be deciphered for me though because like I said I don't understand it.
Kent Hovind is a criminal. Really! This "christian" has been in prison since 2006 for tax evasion. The guy literally wasn't claiming his millions of dollars to the U.S., because, he claimed his possessions are owned by god... not him. Is this guy really credible enough to be taken seriously? Also, he doesn't hold a doctorate from any accredited school.
When you consider that the IRS is an unconstitutional organization set up by the Federal Reserve ( Banking Cartel), then Kent's "crimes" do not seem to stand up to logic.
I'm not going to debate the legality of the IRS, taxes and so forth. However, we all pay taxes! For the most part, at the end of the year, we claim our earnings by admitting what we earned, etc. Kent was telling people that his millions in earnings was not his... it was god's money. That's the point. His millions isn't his millions... it's god's money. Sure he was spending it (not god).

God did not speak the entire universe into existance he spoke light and other laws like it. He took the time to make the other things and some things may have even been made indirectly by his power. We can't know exactly how each thing was created but saying that simply what happened is going a bit too far. It is not good to generalise like that.

I doubt people regularly were over 10 feet tall even though there is some contreversy with hominins but just over 9 feet is about right. For most of human hsytory the average age was lucky to reach the early 40s. The average life expectancy has went up and down and there is a pretty smooth continuum of average age for each culture, we do life quite a bit longer than a few centuries ago.

Nowhere does it say sphere or ball, but it does say tat the earth has edges, corners and a foundation. It is likely that they thought the earth was a flat disk.

It contains no original research, the basis on which a PhD is supposed to be awarded.

In the ORIGINAL Bible Adam had a "first" wife (befor Eve), named Lilith. She was feminist (so to speak) in that she wanted to be equal with Adam; Adam didn't like this, so things uh ... didn't work out. Contrast that with the mind of a fundamentalist who "accepts without question" the inerrant Bible no matter how silly a literal reading of a story may be. I figured out the absurdities of accepting these myth stories when I was around 6 years old in Sunday school.

Look at the creation evidence museum online and read the evidence they have on there.
In general, there is no evidence for evolution. No scientist has a transistional fossil of one species changing into another. They basicaly make it up.
Watch the video about evolution called "Evolution: the grand experiment" for more details on the fossil records, genetic mutations and so on.
It even shows that false information is still taught, even though it has been proved false by scientists

@MetallicaAndy If you really understand the theory of evolution, then EVERY fossil is a transitional fossil. Scientists don't have any half-and-half fossils because they are not looking for one. As a matter of fact, if a half-and-half fossil were found, it would actually disprove the theory of evolution.
There are so many transitional fossils found just in hominids that scientists argue which are our ancestors and which are evolutionary dead ends.

Evolution is to blame for her acts of kindness towards the sick children. They are considered as the illegitimate. Her nature is to prune away the unworthy stock of genes from the gene pool.
All these cry stories over a God people not think exists and is cruel and yet accept evolution as their abusive natural selective parent do truly have a great and wonderful alternative.

If God not exist to blame for the world's problems then it's evolution.
How does evolution resolve this since no morality exists nor do absolutes. Without these then no one has natural rights. It takes an absolute that you have possession of property. Morality is for no one to take your property.

@aribella13085 I had 3 fractures inn my pelvis, a fracture in a lower vertebrae of my spine, and the ball socket in my hip was crushed. I had a fracture in my cheekbone and my lower jaw as well as 11 broken teeth. I had an external fixator (look it up) screwed into my hips and permanent screws in h ball socket. I now am 25, and I have TWO Beautiful children that GOD GAVE ME. All because people BELIEVED enough to pray for me... SO YEAH I BELIEVE IT. CAUSE ITS REAL!!

You know what??? "Oh Ye of little Faith." I don't think anyone of you doubting Thomas's out there have witnessed the Miraculous Power of my God! December 15th, at 3am my grandparents house caught on fire from an explosion in the furnace room. FOUR people were in the house and ALL made it out. Firefighters said that 20 seconds more and my brother and I would not have been able to take the stairs, because of the heat rising upward... Explain to me why then not even the dog was hurt???

Present this evidence to me please. Everything I've heard from him is hardly legitimate. A scientist is someone who observes the world, forms a theory from observed facts and sees if the rest of the evidence agrees with it. hovind has not done any of these things. He doesn't study science, he studies pseudoscience.

The connections between the Jesus story and Attis and Horus and even the similarities with Hindu gods have been talked about forever. This is all fun to talk about, but more importantly, I think religious people of any religion need to think long and hard about their religious belief system, the rituals and other traditions that should be questioned.

Somebody tell Hovind that if he wants to read the OT he shouldn't use a translation, but the Hebrew version of it. That has been unchanged since 90 AD. And there is NO "definite article" there !!! It is so stupid when people interpret the OT from a translation (English) of a translation (Latin) of a translation (Greek) of the original (Hebrew) which was even changed and re-interpreted when Yeshua ben Yoseph walked the earth.

Not everyone speaks Hebrew. I don't. I do know that the only trusted scripture is Textus Receptus. Anything that came out of Egypt, Alexandria, and eventually Rome can most certainly not be trusted. If you can read Hebrew that is great. I wish I could but I have never really tried. I do look up what the Hebrew text says but that needs to be deciphered for me though because like I said I don't understand it.

I'm not going to debate the legality of the IRS, taxes and so forth. However, we all pay taxes! For the most part, at the end of the year, we claim our earnings by admitting what we earned, etc. Kent was telling people that his millions in earnings was not his... it was god's money. That's the point. His millions isn't his millions... it's god's money. Sure he was spending it (not god).

Convicted criminals should concern you. Our society is heavily dependent on rules that need to be followed in order for society to function. Since rules are important for society's proper function... rule breakers are rarely credible individuals. The purpose of me pointing out that Kent Hovind is a criminal is designed to show that Kent isn't credible. Crediblity and character help define someone's trustworthiness. Therefore, Kent is NOT to be trusted. Would you trust a guy in prison?
