I seen a vid on nascar.com showing Ruetts car back at MWR's shop...you wouldnt beilive the way the interior even looks in that car...steering column all pushed back and up, daash panel all bent and cagebars broke and pushed up by were Reutt's leg was...he got a leg injury out of this is great compred to how much worser it shoulda been.....hard hit for Ragan also..

Damn. Thank goodness for the safety features of today, I guarantee you that 10-15 years ago, neither Ragan nor Reutimann would be walking away from that crash.

@ChrisBChronisterJr92 Newman flipped on his side in '03. thats it for NASCAR though, its an old track(1956) there had to be some rollovers in its early days.

@tartass342 But he flipped out of the inner loop going into the carousel. Which since then had been widened and paved. At the 3:50 mark you can see there's plenty of room to move that wall back to be more aligned with the following wall after the safety opening there.
