My family is from Lake Village, in the delta. I don't about other areas of his district, but the overwhelming majority of these people are farmers and small business owners, so insurance is not provided for them. I don't know any of them that have insurance b/c they can't afford it. Most of those folks had been scared to death by Republican ads. But believe me, if our congressman can deliver for us, it will pay off for him later.  Folks will like it, once they have it.

I feel exactly the same way... A friend of mine told me this morning that when he sends them corrispondence he staples the letter to a check... I guess that works wonders if you have money to burn. I called Steele and you would not believe how rude they were. They not only admitted they were behind a lot of the mobs we have seen but they were very smug and proud of it. I was so disgusted. To them this is a political scoreboard and nothing more.. Ultimately though they are going to lose.

I may actually borrow parts of that... :) I am currently working on a battle plan. I think that all of us who are in favor of the plan should make a point of going to the whitehouse channel and let the president know we want a public option plan. We need to show him some love anyway as the conservatives have all but taken over there which is pathetic. He needs to see what we think. If he doesn't look at it you know someone does.

I agree to go to the White House youtube channel... but I tell you what. There are political strategy companies out there that you can pay them to get your message out.... I forget the name of the one I was looking at. I think the insurance industry has hired them to spam different message boards, astroturf them in a way. They have teams of ppl.

I noticed this weeks ago on the WH youtube channel.... so many of them, if you reply to them they never reply back but keep on posting generic messages. I fully believe a majority of those comment are from people that are being paid. If I can remember the name of the strategy company that's located in D.C. I will tell you. Their website says something like "win the war" "we spam message boards and blogs for you", etc.

Well, that's pretty safe because his principles are up held in the current bill HR 3200. There's nothing in it that requires the offing of old folks, there's nothing in it about abortions, illegals won't be covered, and there is no gov insurance plan.
