Well I don't suggest this program to newbies specially who have old computers.. You need atleast 2 gb of ram and duo core processor and 512 mb graphic card to play smoothly.

Second thing: Mostly all games required different settings which may blow your mind! ... I Played God of War 2 , Ben 10 (Sucks) , DBZ budokai tenkaichi 3 (Awesome) .. If you need any kind of help then shoot me a message ...

you dont need a great video card^^ i think 256 are completely enouth. ans 1 GB RAM are ok. 2 GB are better for win7. Some games like FFX will run with a 2 ghz dual core CPU.

@demonicxxx I got a phenom II running at 3.4 with 4 gigs ram and a rather mild video card runs the games that run well well. Its still a hit and miss emulator and I have yet to find many games that don't have a few errors Darkwatch for example is considered on the compatibility chart as completable on my system not so much. After the softcore scene the next load screen locks me up every time.

ROM stands for read only memory. All they contain is a load of instructions for the emulator to execute in the way that the ps2 does.

I've seen these PS2 emulators and they look terrible. Just get a PS2. They cheap enough. And you get 10 times the games. I was really disappointed with PS3. They think that its cool to wait 3-4 years to release a game. And they wonder why the 360 is killing them. Thank god for PS2. I will get one after i get a Wii. In the mean time, still playing ST4 on my 360

It really doesn't matter. Alot of the things current gen games do are exactly the same as the last ones. Sometimes i wonder why we spend so much money for the same gameplay. I can still play MGS2 and have a good time. FF10 is fun too. John Carmack, (Wolfestien, D00M fame) said that hyper real graphics will go un-noticed. After 20 minutes of playing the game you wont care to notice if it looks real or not. And that man works for Nasa....not really, but he's still smart. And i agree with him

It doesn't come with the bios because it would be illegal for the guys developing the emulator. Asking for game iso and bios on their forum will also get you banned in no time.

I've had this problem. HDTV's are different from monitors, they can only operate at specific resolutions. For example mine can only run 1920x1080 and 1024x768.

Anything elseand it will shoe incompatible state... try setting the emulator to a compatible resolution, hopefully that'll help.

Really? I have an MSI NVIDIA GeForce N9500GT. If I buy an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz LGA775 processor, my Tekken 5's speed in PCSX2 emulator would comes up from 5fps to 60? I don't think so. My video card is much stronger than the minimum requriements and the game is running with 5fps. My processor have only one core, I know this is a shit, but the clock is 3Ghz and 5fps forever!

the emulator is an intensive cpu program as it requires a lot of processing resource to emulate the multiple cpu's of the ps2 so a powerful graphic card is the least essential.

get a dual core or quadcore and you might see playable frame rates.

hi! i clearly, can't explain why you experience that sort of problem, are you running the latest version(0.9.4)?

does your cpu support HT(Hyper Threading)?

if so you have to check the "multi threaded gs mode" in the "cpu config" tab,is really strange why your cpu is not being fully utilized, normally cpu utilization should be 100% or around 80%-90% if the priority is low

I'm using 0.9.5 version and I don't know where can I look for this "HT" supporting. I don't know the CPU supports or not. The Multi Threaded GS Mode is not selected. While I'm playing on the top of the game windows I see: CPU 15%.

you're version is a beta, that means is in testing stage & is unstable, try to use the latest stable version.

as for HT, is a technology that allows your OS to see & treat your CPU as 2 cup's, go in "task manager", right-click any process and select "set affinity" if you see "CPU 0" and "CPU 1" then your CPU supports HT, any of the newest Pentium 4 CPU's have HT. i recommend you to check the official site for configuration guides, game compatibility list and a lot more.

yes! checking "multi threaded gs mode" will allow pcsx2 to take advantage of multi core cpu's and HT, resulting in much better performance.

It is the problem with the emulator and it does not matter how good your computer configs is.

Quadcore is not yet supported.

You would need to be patient to wait for them to improve this emulator.
