Rocket and grenade jumping are not unheard of in Quake 2... it's a lot more dangerous though... The user most definitely had some reduced damage going on. If you look more closely the player DID take damage from lasers and other fire, but those railgun stroggs are deadly as hell and highly accurate... defintely hacked but impressive nonetheless.

The explosive barrels at stage 1 should have blown away the player, and, if you look carefully enough, you'll see that this guy is not affected by lasers. How? Cheating, of course! And how can he jump so high? In conclusion, Quake 2 was completed in 21 minutes cheating.

The golden years of FPS, doom1 wasnt perfect, quake1 wasnt either.Q2 had the perfect dynamics, speed & all things that comprises a great FPS. Over a decade later, we are left with FPS that tries to emulate real wars, ends up w/ unnecessary graphics requirements, useless options like Night visions, reload times that takes forever to initiate, useless button to AIM zoom? wtf man. Hell im a real marine vet and for all i care, i don't need the useless extra buttons in my leisure time playing my FPS.

He used his invulnerability for the laser, and quad damage for the Makron. At full speed for the minigun, you can kill almost anything in the game, as long as you have enough bullets.

Looks awesome, but I think he is using one of the cheats, probably the zero gravity and long jumping cheats. Also perhaps he is using a health cheat to bolster his health at just the right time. It is not possible to go through the red/yellow lasers without dying unless you are cheating. Nor is it possible to jump up very high without using the quake2 cheats.

Quake 2 was ID Software's best game, IMHO. It had the best parts of DOOM, Quake, and Wolfenstein 3D wrapped up in a single package... ID will never top this game.

also, final boss is a piece of cake, did him on hardest mode with only the blaster and 100hp. took some time, though ^^
