  • The program has 10,000 euro available here in version 5 and cracked copy and paste this link into the address bar:

    4shared.com/zip/VqOgwdFL/Vicon_Boujou_5.html

  • what did your record this with? a potato?

  • @JonnyboyVideos no, a tomato

  • can't understand a fucking word you said sounded like yo had a mouth fool of marbles

  • Thanks for the tutorial, I followed everything you said, and the camera export from Boujou seemed good. However, when I ran script in 3DMax, it gave me a Syntax error.

Why are the predictors and camera not importing, I've tried many time with various changes, still nothing.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

  • Windows 98?

  • Thank you for the great help! Nice and simple, to the point, very helpful.

  • awesome, lol, not trying to to make fun or anything but, you spelled matching wrong,

    0:33

  • thanks so much man. You have no idea how helpful you are when people like me looking for these years later! :))

  • so cool that this video is so old and I can still learn from it. Thanks!

  • are you retarded?

  • why do you put target tracks on first and then run autotrack why not just hit autotrack please tell me i am learning

  • True, Your tutorial are Helpful, Do not listen to them

  • Hey man good work! Thank you for posting.

  • Is there any way to just get a trial version of boujou that is fully working? like being able to save and export and such? because i see a trial on their site, but they rent the software out $1,000 monthly, which is the usual trial time limit, so im confused, any insight?

  • matchmoving is also known as motion tracking :D

  • where to download? (Free)????

  • Thank you for this video. I learn new things today. Thank you again from Venezuela.

  • where i can download 3ds max?

  • thank for great tut :)

    I have a question:

My boujou 4 run only 1 cpu and camera solve very very slow :( . I may take some hours to finish 400 frame.

  • @soda4xu

    That's not a question. That's a statement.

  • @soda4xu

    Dude, that's not a question

  • @soda4xu u have a gamer computer or picture/video cmoputer?

  • @soda4xu I am not that really good at Boujou.....so I might be completely wrong.....but I think that if you delete the extra track features that you don't need, leaving only those that you think represent the place where you will place you CGI model, before you camera solve your track features......it will take less time.....

  • where can I download boujou?

  • Shi Shi Sifu your tutorials are very helpfull

  • When i try to run the script in Max, it gives an error..

    Anyone else had this problem?

Anybody know what i might be doing wrong?

    I used boujou4 and tried it in 3ds Max 2009 and 2010.

  • Yeah, I got the same problem!

  • saved output as 3dsMax???

  • could u run the script in blender?

    if u don't know then thanks anyway/

  • Great tut!!! I got everything to work expect for one thing ....the proper importing of the mesh into 3ds.

When YOU import, it's like a Plane with full colour, and you can add material.

By me it's merely an outline, no colour, and I can't add material.

    Why is this?

    Thanks again ! 5/5

  • It's easier to put a tea pot on there before filming. :P I'm kidding. Thanks for the tut!

  • Big thanks man, I now know how to hide the mesh but still keep the shadow :D

  • you can, but you have to convert ur video to avi....

    i had the same problem...

if u have after effects u can do it in there...

  • AVI just DOESN'T work with Boujou. For tracking, I always use mov.

  • But .Mov files always show up as unsupported files.

I always have to convert them.

  • If I remember well (long time ago don't use Boujou),it might depend on the codec. I always used either Sorenson 3 or Animation for Boujou.

  • The program overall is very glitchy, it randomly just stops working many times.

  • Comment removed

  • I want do a question.....For you is best cinema 4d or 3ds max???your video is exlent

  • if you are using boujou you have to use 3ds max because it doesnt support c4d

  • It does support it

  • yeah i must have been talking about boujou 3 sorry

  • i did it but there no result

  • one problem i have with boujou - everything tracks perfectly, buuut, i cant preview the footage.

and 3ds max - i can import the viewport background image, but it doesnt render. any help anyone???

  • To get the footage to render you have to go to Rendering, Exposure Control, from there you should see background colour, next ro it it should say none, click on it, select Bitmap from the choices and find your video, that should work.

  • i was do everything, about what you say but my 3ds max dont open the that script file.

    runtime error: error opening bitmap:

    please help me

  • can u send me a msg pliss, where can i download it with the medicine?

  • Dude I am having a trouble animating Spider T___T

And I want to Cover my face with a face mask...

How am I supposed to do that?

  • does someone know where can i find tutorial -how to use mask in boujou and then export to 3ds max...thanks

  • how do you edit the geometry mesh that you create?

  • Good

  • go to rendering> then? in 3ds max i cant see it

  • For everyone who is interested: I did a tutorial on boujou, too, which tells you some more stuff about Matchmoving than this one. Moreover you can learn how to composite in After Effects.

  • How do you track your hand? I made a growing Vines in 3Ds max and I want it to stick it to my hand from Real Video Footage?

How long this boujou can track?

  • this fucken program srashes so godamn much

  • works perfectly for me...maybe you need to bump up your RAM.

  • I've got a problem, I googled it but gained no results. The process "camera solve" (after doing "track features") takes 4 hours (10sec Video 320x180 .avi no sound). It's a dual-core CPU. I don't know why it's so slow.

    Can anyone help me?

(I know, bad english, forgive me, I'm german)

  • (using Boujou 4.1)

  • OMFG it took me longer i hate thuis shiet i quit i have 2gb duel-core processer and it still sux ass

  • Sys specs? Not only cpu please.

  • thank yuo very much !

  • more sample plssssssssssssss

  • can boujou track a face?

  • Yes indeed

  • wow, thanks, do you know any free tutorial? Any pirated tutorial that has a seeders?

    Note:

For those who are in anti-piracy law country, Buy the software. For those who are in the country that has no anti-piracy law country like sweden and the other country, do whatever you want.

  • thanksssssssssssssssss

  • Hey this has been very helpful, infact the best general tut Ive found. Cheers,

By the way, your English is fine, if any native English speakers have trouble following this its more of a statememnt about their poor understanding abilities

  • Am I the only guy who can understand this? It's not that hard to understand him, you people are so ill-educated.

  • dude we can understand almost all but there's just a few points were i have no clue what he is saying. Dude if all someone speaks is English then they might have a hard time understanding because of his ascent.

  • Boo Jew.

  • racist

  • Fuck you I've said nothing racist, I'm not from America I'm British we're not racist.

  • "I'm not from America I'm British we're not racist." There another phrase of racism. Are you saying all Americans are racists and all British are not racists? Also your comment earlier "Boo Jew", have you got anything against Jews? Did all of them do something to you?

  • Ha! I knew that would set you off. Here, I'm not racist, I don't dislike people of other races purely for their race, but the people who really piss me off are people like you who think everyone is racist when there not "Boo Jew" isn't racist, it's just what BouJou sounds like. "I hate Jews" is racist because it expresses hatred of a certain race for no other reason than that they are Jews. Understand? Now will you please shit the fuck up and get a life. Thank you.

  • Well, if you think it isn't racist. But why did you use "Jew" when you could of used other words of pronunciation like "Ju". And no I have a life thank you. Also by the way "shut the fuck up" not "shit the fuck up".

  • well maybe he did mean ju, like how he said shit not shut.

  • Dude,

I guess your Chinese is even worse than my English XD

  • @hammerbchen chineese? sorry i thought you were indian!

  • @hammerbchen very good back i bet that kid coudn't even speak chineese let alone be fluent

  • @KrOzROD yeah, can you speak chinese? At least he know how to speak english. he just tried to help those who dont know how to create CGI and you dont even pay money for him. so is up to you watch it or leave this channel.

  • @KrOzROD Hahaha, i understood him perfectly.

  • can someone help me with boujou? When i try to insert sequence a message appears -error the movie file was not found.thanks

  • I am doing something wrong. Everytime I do this the mesh I created in BouJou comes in at a the wrong orientation to the camera.

you mentioned there is more detial on CG Taiwaner, but all I find is a links to this tutorial.

Also you create a mesh twice in this tutorial using 3 points. Then in 3dsmax you only import one and it has 4 verticies. Did I miss something?

  • Just worked out a big part of my problem is the Z axis up coordination of BoJou. Turn out 3ds Max is Y axis up. There is a setting in BouJou to make you path contraints xy-plane which is more compatible with 3dsMAx. Thanks for the great tutorial AGAIN! hahaha YOu do so much cool stuff for us for free, thank you!

  • 3ds May is correct with it's y axis, Z axis is actually the axis that is coming out of the y and x interception so blame boujou lol

  • God damn it, where is the FINAL ANIMATION ??????? How I know you setup everything correctly???

    :|

  • Once you have an animated camera in Max, you can put whatever you want in your scene, as long as it uses your plane as the ground object for reference, animate it any way you want then just render it out. What part did you not understand?

  • eee... and what did you not understand? Because that is not what I ment.

  • It wasnt a great tutorial for me, cause i couldnt understand what you were saying so I had to keep rewinding. It took me an hour to get through the video, and my video didnt even come out right. You not telling us where you think the points should go and why. you dont tell us alot of what your doing, onetime when you were in a window oyu closed one window then another appeared andd you just cliked ok to it without telling us the variables that were in it. Everything else though was good.

  • You can find more written description on my Blog---CG Taiwaner, I believe that could make you more happy.

  • If you have any Max or computer software in general, you shouldn't have any problems seeing everything. He sometimes clicks "cancel"...

If he doesn't change any variables it's cause they're all at default. The basic concept is you're exporting an Animated Camera from Boujou into Max and using a Plane as the reference for your ground. You can then line up any 3D objects with that plane and the camera will move around them, matching the camera movement in your video (animated background).

  • True, but the concept of a great tutorial explains everything. Overall it wasn't bad, it was good with the exceptions of what i said above that's all

  • man, i think i should record my future video tutorials in my native language not English, so its time for you to learn Chinese now!

  • haha, perfect idea. :)

  • mate, his not hard at all to understand. Do you speak good english because maybe it is your english skills not his.

  • please, I´m having some problems for a long time now in boujou and 3dsmax, after I export camera solve, the predictions do not sync with image background like they do in boujou, so it must be some problem exporting or viewing in 3dsmax... and when I import meshes they go anywhere instead of staying like they were in boujou.

do you know what I am doing wrong?

    tks

  • did you view your max scene through camera view or perspective view?

  • OnxOmPax, there was no need for video tutorials since i explained how it should be done. But if you lack the intelligence to understand that, then i'm afraid i cannot help you

  • Usefull and very nice - for tracking. Will you post an other tutorial including material (REAL reflection, not only the enviroment). And you should add more information about remeshing the realscene for better results..

But all in all it´s great work, I learnd much.

  • thanks for your comments/crtics. I will keep making more good tutorials

  • I'm so happy u upload this tutorial. It's amaizing and nice of u to share ur knowladge with others. Thank you.

  • thanks, i will keep making more tutorials

  • You rock mate you really do.

But i try so hard to understand you, but i cant.

there are alot of text tutorials on the web, will have a look at them.

    Thanks for vid :)

  • Bad tutorial. it's not usefull.

  • Oh do you "appreciate the effort" cappy.. you fucking loser douche bag, I hate people like you who leave comments like their some big fucking authority on the subject, then you go to their channel to see how its done...and guess what? not one fucking video on the subject,is that so you don't have to put your money where your mouth is? at least this guy is putting his stuff out there..and it looks pretty dam good to me...fucking loser.

  • lulz

  • appreciate the effort, but what you did with Target Tracks is incorrect. You have to track them separately in order for them to work.Put the first track in the first frame, the second in the middle and the third in the last(if your footage is 500 frames, then 1-250-500).Then right-click in the timeline between the diamonds and choose track.Read the doc that came with the program.

  • damn

  • not to been or give you hard feelings i can't hear you for didily squat!

  • Totally fine, people say that so before!

  • Man, I wanna say, thx, and some think you have done :> You spoke in english. You made an effort and this is great . THX A LOT

  • LOL

i downloaded bouoju 4 from internet for free!

    PIRATE RULES!! :-D

  • lol

  • thanks for the tutorial, but the camera solve will take ours only for some seconds of footage here

  • lolz..all this pirates here ;) As if anybody here could afford BouJou 4..its 10.000 Bucks.. :P

  • thank you VERY much for this great tut!!

  • you are welcome

  • you know i think it is pure insanity how 99% of all these crappy sci-fi channel movies dont spend a grand for these simple programs. the 3-D on all those sci-fi channel movies sucks so much. It is below amerature level.

  • ok, but what do you mean?

  • Your in china right? do you have access to TVB? If so you can watch some of the fantasy series and you'll see the CGI in those are very badly done. I, using a simple 3d software like anim8or (i use it for modelling because it is simple and fast) can do much better than that.

  • I come from Taiwan not China. Taiwan and China are two different country.

  • @hammerbchen oh really

  • @hammerbchen oh really

  • @hammerbchen oh really

  • @hammerbchen oh really

  • Assuming he's chinese is racist BTW (according to your beliefs, not mine)

  • I'm not assuming I know, I myself am Chinese and if you read the past threads you will see he clearly tells everyone he is Chinese. My sentence "Your in china right? do you have access to TVB?" is asking if he is in Hong Kong, mainland China or Taiwan. Those are three different place and all three have different television channels. So I am not "assuming".

  • no wonder you understand what he is saying. You have the same ascent as him.

  • you don't understand what hes saying and your american? i'm assuming english is your first language.. you must be retarded if you can't understand him!

  • point 1: its 10 grands.

point 2: make a better tutorial if you are so great, I found this a very pleasing tutorial.

Friends of mine are in graphics educations and may buy this software for under 200 euro's for educational uses.

pardon my language, but you are a PLFR, poor little flaming rat.

  • I am sorry, the reply did not arrive under the guy's post.

  • now i come this far, i'm in 3ds max and i've imported the movie i made from Boujou and now how do i save my project as a video format? can i save a video format in 3ds max?

  • You have to render it out with sequence output, also you need to set a output path of your video

  • ok thank you

  • you should get money for uploading this :S this is really good!

  • thanks, for my bad Engilish, so this is totally free =)

  • great ! thanks! is this posible for 3ds max 9 you think?

  • Of course it can!

  • No offense...but can you maybe redo the tutorial with subtitles or a comepletely fluent english talke? Because this wasn't easy on my ears and I couldn't pay attention because of the "errr"'s and "ahhhh"'s as well as words not being pronouced clearly or loud enough.

  • suit yourself. This is a free tutorial, if you need help, ask for others.

  • I'm just asking for something that's really simple to do is all, as your primary language would appear to be Chinese/Japanese and not English.

  • Yes, I know. Do you know a little Taiwanese language?

  • hello Hammerbchen

I have the following problem when I import the video as background it is not the same length as the script. the clip is shorter en plays at the end of the cript the beginning again.

    Can you help.

    Thanks

  • You could either change matchmoving length in Boujou or change animation length in 3ds max, so the two have the same length

  • I had the same problem, I fixed it by having the animation in max start with 0 in the timeline. When it started with anything else I got that problem.

  • Great tutorial! Do you know if it's possible to just use "target tracks" for a camera solve without auto tracking features? Thankyou!

  • Yes, you can mannully add track points by using "add target tracks" button.

  • how can you offored the program it like 10,000 dollars

  • Because we're local reseller.

  • luck

  • it think its only 100mb or 200mb, i thought it would be like 1 gig, but nope, maybe it was 70mb, idk

  • Thank for video!

I tried to put video MPEG-1 in 3DsMax as a background and it works! But any other MPEG (2,4) or any other video format is not accseptable by 3 DSMax. Is there any way to put some kind of HD video in 3 DsMax as a background?

  • If it is not possible, I guess you have to do a little composite in AfterEffects or Premiere...etc.

  • thanks for putting my video replys up ! your a star mate!!

  • Thanks for this tutorial.

Hammerbchen, have you had any experiences with PFtrack, and if you do, why did you choose for boujou ?

  • do you have any experience importing boujou cameras into after effects? i'm having lots of problems

  • no, i don't know After Effects

  • none the less a very helpful tutorial. another thing i wanted to ask you:

did you encounter any crashing problems when tracking 1080i footage? i get a crash after about 300 frames (cant even preview from boujou). i tried to re-encode it, but no help. resizing to a smaller definition helps tho. any tips on that?

  • ok, i only try 720x480 footage. If you use higher resolution of video, there is a proxy option in Boujou you could give it a try.

  • it was a fields problem apparently. i just enabled upper field only and it works without a problem. keep up the good work.

  • thanks i will

  • i have a problem, im trying to import wide screen footage but it compresses it. how do i fix this? or does it matter for my tracking export?

  • no, it does not. and you can set the export image size to a wide screen aspect ratio to fix your problem

  • I have a question

Once you get your footage in 3ds max how do you link the script with the footage you used as a background. How do you go about exporting the footage from 3ds max to get a video?

    Thanks and great tutorial

  • Go to rendering/environment

put a bitmap type of map into the slot, and select your footage.

If you want to see your footage right in the viwport, go to View/viewport background/

check use environment and check Display environment.

    You're welcome!
