All Silver Rathalos are weak to thunder, regardless of rank. Their weak spot is the wings but if you have a hammer it is still best to hit the head.

I'm not sure where I wrote "Rathalos Speed Run" on the video. If I wanted to kill him faster we'd all use lightning DS or hammers. We want to have fun. Btw, the HP is much lower for one person versus four. It gets higher the more people are on the field. Not trying to be a jerk, I just get tired of people comparing times and thinking we are trying to go for speed like everyone else doing these videos because we are not. We just play to have fun. my favorite lbg is the chameleos lamp it is the best with my armor set up (speed fire,abnormal stats up,element damage up and bullet limit :P)

it ends around 39:20 so like 10 minutes 40 seconds counting the 3-4 minutes it takes to climb the tower

A few things to keep in mind is that MHF2 only goes to HR6. This is a HR9 Rathalos. Much higher HP. Plus, the HP increases for each person on the field. Lol, and we weren't trying to do any speed runs or impress anyone. We just wanted to have fun, that's why I brought bombs while wearing Plesioth armor and Inya was using a bowgun.

and i thought the monsters health increased with more ppl! cus me and my friend did azure lao and we killed it with like 7 minutes left, and he didnt get what he needed (he wanted smolder and ultimus) and i told him to solo it, and he said it was impossible i was full of shit when i claimed to have killed it with 5 minutes left lol

and im gonna have trouble with HR9, i can just tell lol

Yeah, it's possible to solo all G missions. I think the closest I got to failing was soloing G*** Kirin with the Lava Cleaver GS. I was out of healing items and megajuice, had only like 25 HP left and time was almost up. I smacked Kirin as he charged me and killed him with 4 seconds left on the clock. I got hit at the same time, so if I had not killed him with that hit I would have died. Or if I didn't swing then, he would not have turned around in 4 seconds and come back into range.

and i had a close call like that with my first kushala, i had like 15 minutes left, no healing things, and like 25-40 health and i sliced him in the air and he fled

Well I can kill him in like 15-20 minutes now with GS solo on HR9. Just that the first time I did, the sword's sharpness sucked and the attack wasn't as high as I wanted it.

I can't say I ever used hammer on him, but Serenity in my guild has used them (has a ham hammer video on his page) and it worked well. I just never found a good hammer to use on the G Rank one.

I never really mastered LS. A lot of people say it is good to move around but the only good thing for that is the jump back that you can't use as an evade to roll through an attack, from my experience at least.

liek blos' raths plessies and u can usually dodge and roll away from most attacks

When you say roll, do you mean the regular roll everyone has, or that step-back attack of the LS? Cause I know you can roll through a lot of attacks but I'm not aware of that step back doing anything.

but the sweep back attack is useful too

but u need to master it for it to be very useful

like u can dodge and hit any monster that isnt too homing in on u, like a raged silver rathalos homes in on u a lot

so the superman would be best to avoid that

but like a kirin run or a blos u can sweep back to avoid and deal damage

Meh, I just don't like the idea of not blocking...though oddly enough I use bow, bowgun and Dualswords most and you can't block on any of them, lol.

It's a complicated process to get set up, I suggest you look for a tutorial video on youtube. I had to watch a 3-part video that's not up anymore. But try to search for something like "PSP Recording tutorial" or "Remote Joy" tutorial and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

IRShell on PSP sends your screen video via USB to a program on PC called "Remote Joy" and then you use a video recording program like BSR Screen Recorder or Camtasia.

I think (more like I HOPE) he was just trying to see what kind of damage cluster shots would do on Silver. Clusters are for when you are alone or when the Wyvern is away from your friends. I've been doing a lot of LBG lately and have easily surpassed him and he's been sadly using bowguns since the first game. I guess some people just don't know how to work well in groups.

So what's your favorite LBG? Mine are Flame Wrath and Martial Ancestor.

Well, my favorite LBG is Martial Ancestor, but you pretty much have to beat the game before you can get it. However, I also love the "Flame Wrath" just as much and you can get it fairly early in G Rank.

It's called Tryant Wrath or something. And I recommend Dragonbow Meteor all day long. Akantor Bow is garbage on 2ndG, unfortunately.

MHF2 is the english version of the 2nd portable game. MHP2ndG is the Sequel to the game, but pretty much a patch. It is everything that is on the 2nd game, plus enough for another game. It allows the use of Felynes to help fight in battle with you and many new monsters. It is also only in Japanese without an English patch through custom firmware. The English version is releasing in Spring 2009 so wait and buy that if you can.

If you have five cats, eating meat and vegetables gives you 140 HP. You can use strength jewels to increase your max HP. Gravios armor can increase your HP and you could also eat a Max Potion (Mega Nutrient + Dragon Toadstool) or an Ancient Potion (Immunizer + Kelbi Horn).

There's no comparison. 2nd G. G is everything that is on Portable 2, PLUS more stuff. Now overall, 2 has more stuff on it if you're playing it for the first time and then playing G from where you left off on 2, but G is an improvement I think.

Meh, it's personal choice, but I like the original 1000 better because it's a bit thicker and heavier so it feels better in my hands. It can also be modified the easiest and get older firmwares on it, it's not as cheaply made either. But the newer ones have brighter screens and better batteries.

Well I think you are supposed to get like 4-5 hours on the 1000 on the lowest setting. But I always play my game on the highest brightness and on 333mhz so the battery is usually gone in about half that time.

Once you buy the UMD you need to rip the ISO from it using custom firmware. It's a complicated process sometimes, just search youtube for stuff like "how to rip ISO from UMD" or something. And then search for "Monster Hunter patch" or something. I'm sure you'll find videos on them.

If you have custom firmware, just make the folder. If you don't have it, you need to install the firmware then make the folder.

You get all that stuff from High Rank versions of the monsters or G rank. So I suggest you fight the felyne elder versions, they give you the "+" stuff.

Do you have a program called ZDWLan Utility? You have to make sure you're connected through there. On kai configuration make sure you're on continuous access mode and choose to never disconnect.

Yeah, I've played over 1000 hours combined on all the PSP games. I know that. Remember, I just play to have fun when I am with my friends because I know we can win before 3 people die so I don't try to be as careful as if I were doing it solo.

I say it is worth it if you haven't beaten all of 2 yet. If you haven't, or if you plan to start over, you will have a LOT to do and it will be worth it. If you beat 2 already, the expansions aren't THAT much but still enough to sink a couple hundred hours into, but maybe not as much as 2.

My HR's 3 and I'm wearing the Ceanataur armor (Excluding the arms, 'cause I can't get a goddamn pincer, I've broken BOTH it's claws EVERY time, not a single pincer yet) though I've kinda been looking into the second set of Guild Knight stuff =P

Well you may need to fight some G-rank version of him to get the pincers, I can't remember. I know they are more rare though. I never made the cenataur armor though. Cept a piece or two because it had stats I needed to get a skill.

Plesioth X. Made from G rank Plesioth parts. very versatile armor with about 12 free armor slots total. You can get a good five or so skills out of it at once if you don't mind having some negatives. You can have at least 3 skills without any negative affects. This includes the two it defaults to.

I tend to put the items in my list out of order and it takes long enough that way so I don't take time to sort. The only time I did that was when I'd fight something like a fatalis or akantor that starts you out right in front of them, I sort so my farcaster or flashbomb or whatever is first.
