Shame singers that can singer (such as these guys) are beaten in the charts by people that use autotune and have other ppl write their songs for them.

I have to say, not exactly thrilled. The UC Men's Octet used to be really really talented and had a bit of comedic relief to their stuff. This just seems to be mostly just comedy, not to say they aren't talented. Just seems like they are focusing a bit to much on the comedy and not enough on the singing. Oh well's what ya gonna do, keep up the work guys.
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and I, personally, love the '03 group which seems to be the standard which Octet fans compare other groups. However, the way it was explained to me is that this is really a rebuilding year for the Octet, which came together with one returning member, and it's gonna take time for the group to gel- more than one semester, for sure) . I think that with a year under their belt, if this group comes back, it could be an exceptional Octet incarnation.
As one of the new members this year and music manager for next year's group, I thank you for your opinion. We had a rough year trying to match seven new voices but with several people returning next year, we'll have more of an opportunity to refine our music rather than attempting to learn copious amounts of standards. I urge you to watch our videos next year and hopefully you'll see the difference it makes when we have more than one returning member :)
This is amazing. The blend is really there for this song, unlike a couple others from this particular group. Really Good. Also, for a smile, pause around 1:05
