can i get that prototype please? AMDftw no matter what the intel fan girls say. every computer i have built have been AMD. from duron- phenomx61090t for current setup.

Dualcore might seem overkill because people relate multicore with more processing power. In fact, multicore processors are also more energy efficient, if the software make proper use of multithreading.
There is no need for long pipelines and huge registers if you can process data in parallel.
@thelasthallow This is an embedded system, so it has to be very small and low power to operate in it's fanless environment. Your 1.9ghz laptop would overheat in a matter of minutes in that environment, so it doesn't matter how much more powerful your computer is if it can't do the job within the required power/heat envelope.
This embedded system will probably use 6 to 8 watts while playing the 1080p movie, yours uses more like 15-20 probably if it is a 45nm part.

The FUNNY Thing is i can play that video with the rabbit in 1080p from youtube on my 1.9GHz Dual core Laptop and it barley uses 50% of my Cpu.
Try again AMD. i love you but your using shit that dosent even tax your Systems. its like lying.
