I was 12 years old when i saw this at the indoor and drivein, scary then.I still have the original 3D green mask that you had to hold up instead of wear.wonder what they are worth now?
I found these old 3D glasses in a box of my dads, from when he was a kid, and it says "Use only for viewing the 3D TV program "The Mask" ". So I looked it up and WOW, horror movies were so different back in the early 60's. Still cool though. 5-stars.
This is like The Outer Limits ...on acid. What I'd have given to have watched this as a kid (late 60s, early 70s)! This would have blown my little mind ...and I would have loved it!
Well auntie, I saw this when in came out in 61' - I was 9 - and it did 'blow my little mind'. I had read about it in Famous Monsters magazine and knew I had to see it. The 3-D effect was excellent and of course, these scenes were ridiculously warped.
Yep, it was about the coolest thing I had ever seen (the scary scenes anyway).
@heywally Hey Wally-- I saw this in late '61 when I was nine--AND then read about it in famous Monsters # 16 (a great issue)--Also Horror Monsters # 3 (Jan '62).
i remember, back in the early 80's, some local television station(s) aired this 3d movie and local 7-11 stores would sell the 3d glasses. all proceeds went to charity. i remember the pattern thingy they would put on the screen and tell you to cover one eye and turn the tint. until the pattern did something....can't remember
wow, too bad i don't have any 3-D glasses. How do you get such good flash conversion? Every time i upload something it looks terrible, your conversions look top notch
thanks. i use mpeg1, which i think converts to flash little smoother, better than divx - just pick the MPEG1 VCD template in whatever app you're using. increase the bitrate to 1,151,929 bps if possible ;o)
