It is Zo who is the talent here, as he knows what reality TV is about, and he makes it interesting. He knows how to entertain us behind the scenes, when the cameras watching them do their stuff. HE keeps it more interesting with his character. The real value of watching this should be to teach US how to make good productions.
I totally agree with jf1281. ZO is the most arrogant horrible person I have ever seen, for real the guy is just way too much. Yes he delivers ok things but it is so painful to see people work with him that is is just not worth the effort.
Just finished the episode. Why couldn't they do that "twist" LAST episode and kept Daniel on? He was the only mildly interesting one left. And I lost the exact spot and don't want to watch the commercials again, but that Fox judge is like "Every week there's been a clear winner and a clear loser." Uh...getting senile in your old age? What about the two weeks in a row they refused to even pick a winner because everyone did so badly, and the other two weeks when they said "no one failed"?
she's an idiot and missed signs that the program was about to crash (of course those don't always appear), OR she accidentally closed the program herself. Either way, there's a good chance it might have been prevented had the experienced editor been sitting there monitoring things - and she would have reminded her "save your work, you moron." Also...the look on the editor's face at Zo. Like "You are one of the most annoying bastards, why did I get stuck with you?"
She probably would have been able to say "Hey, don't do that!" A Mac crash is a kernal panic, which clearly was not what happened. Programs can crash, but that's quite rare in a properly equipped computer. Given just what I can see and the fact this is a TV show and those computers are their most important tool maybe second to cameras, I'm guessing they have the best specs around. So either she was running too many high resource programs at once that she didn't need to be running,
"Apple-S" and you're right back to work. Don't even have to take your hand off the mouse. I don't know if this is going to cause her to lose (it's looking like Zo is going to crash and burn), but if she does, she deserves it. Especially when she wouldn't even let her editor BE IN THE ROOM. By all means, take over if you think you need to do it and will do it better, but she could have asked her editor to just sit by so if she had any technical questions or wanted an opinion here and there.
I haven't finished the episode, and coving up comments so I don't see who loses but: Jessica is such a fucking idiot. Who spends HOURS working on something, especially something that important, and doesn't save ONCE? I save every 5 minutes when I'm writing a long goddamn email. If I were doing something as important as editing something I'd produced for a competition, under insane time constraints, with the work being complicated and difficult to replicate again, I'd be saving once a minute.
I'm sorry but Gwen and Jessica have basically dodged the bullet the whole show and the format of this competition does not truly exploit talent or try to find the best.
Hem Zo's editor and camera-man don't look happy at all, but the piece was pretty cool in the end; he kind of seems to get on the wrong side of people...
