How fascinating it is to see how Julie skillfully incorporates "Parting" into the finale. Quite brilliant! My only regret is that I never made the 500 mile round trip to exoerience it live.

A well made video featuring a most unusual guitar created by Andy Manson and requiring Julie to adapt an unusual guitar style which she carries out as gracefully as always. This piece, although stamped with Julie's owm inimtable style, somehow reminds me of one of Joni Mitchell's early works, "Pirates Of Penance". Nonetheless, this is quite an epic in its own right - and it's not even finished yet! - as Julie's voice perfectly encaptures the plaintive calls of a siren of the sea.

This piece was written especially for the instrument (in about 2 or weeks if I remember correctly) and is quite different to Julie's normal performance style. I guess that is inevitable given the unusual nature of the instrument!
