The tour and album were originally to be CSNY, following the Hawaii sessions that gave Through My Sails on Zuma, n'est-ce pas? Then S and Y double-crossed C and N and put wiped their vocals on some of the Stills-Young album. Then Neil double-crosses Steve in turn. I think it was just a crazy scene though, with everybody into a heavy drug scene at the time that made Neil ill at ease.
Saw this band in Philly . Only 8 shows were ever played out on the road.Neil got off of the highway in Nashville after Stills' bus passed the exit. He made a few calls and booked some studio time. Seasass post was how I heard Neil informed Steve of the dissolution. Sometimes your Muse just tells you that your in the wrong endeavor.
Maybe it was worth it even though Neil became "Bored," or came down with "polyps on his vocal chords," depending on which magazine you read back then, and Stills went on alone for some time, after only 3-4 months together.
I still have my ticket for the final concert of the tour that would have taken place in Hawaii, but as far as I can tell, Stills decided to cancel about 7-8 remaining venues. This is how I remember it, and I'm open to correction, or other explanations.
Great version thanks for posting. One of my favorite all time songs, The Treasure. One of the greatest lines: "When she moved it was a dance". Neil's guitar dimension actually works in this song too. Great interplay between them.
