  • Regan used tax money to train, arm and empower Bin laudin, Sadam Husain, and Iran.

That is all that needs to be said about Regan's presidency.

Of course you can also mention the rape and pillage of south America too.

  • TODAY'S REPUBLICONS WOULD CONSIDER PRESIDENT EISENHOWER A DEMOCRAT !!!

  • RONALD WILSON REAGAN ! COUNT LETTERS IN EACH WORD ! 666

  • The deficit was 6% GDP in 1983 and fell to just 3% GDP in Reagans final budget... Facts hurt don't they my liberal friends....

  • @ZEINKIENZIAN A one year fluke - Reagan increased the national debt by 250%. Deficit spending continued under Bush41 and Bush 43. Bush43 doubled the national debt, adding $5 trillion.

  • @Ralphdraw3 Again, you don't understand the debt and the percentage of the debt as it relates to GDP. You only take the numbers on the debt and how it had risen in its number alone and do not take into account that the debt is directly related to GDP. Im not saying that we do not need to pay down the debt and in the end eliminate it but you must first understand it. You can't just throw out the numbers on the debt without the relation to the GDP because the GDP percentage gives the real numbers.

  • @ZEINKIENZIAN Are you referring to the debt or the deficit? The national debt more than doubled under Reagan. The GDP did not double under Reagan. In fact, there was a very long recession during Reagan's first term.

  • @Ralphdraw3 Cold war, Recession not cause by Reagan.

  • @SMWhit3out The two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan were not caused by Obama. Neither was the deepest recession since the Great Depression.

  • @Ralphdraw3 True, but he could have EASILY EASILYYYYYYYYYY Pulled the troops out of both Afghanistan and Iraq. And EVEN NOW after we WON, we got osama there are no talks of even reducing the size of useless wars like he promised. And don't give me shit about none of this being his fault. Its been TWO YEARS and he has only done the WRONG THING. Remember Reagan saving everyone from not only the cold war but the 81 recession?

  • @SMWhit3out Reagan started the period of large deficit spending. He cut taxes and INCREASED the size of government (mostly the military and social security) which leads to large deficits. And wasn't it Cheney who said "Deficits don't matter."?

  • @Ralphdraw3 Reagan increased the size of government(Meaning yes Military, not, failures such as, the Post office, DMV, and other wasteful governmental programs that should be in the private sector.) It was due to the war that cause the second largest nation at that time to completely collapse. Reagan did not get his way during office.

  • @SMWhit3out You give me one single program that Reagan eliminated. Then give me one single program that Reagan succeeded in cutting.

  • "They want to destroy UNIONS so that everybody makes minimum wage(like in Texas). - poindexterwitkowsky" The unions higher wages help cause inflation. If union wages didn't exist, employment would be closer to 100% (since now businesses could afford more employees) and people could afford to live off of minimum wages, with lower inflation. Union membership and (the requiring of) licenses cause false scarcity, which in turn inflate wages. Even economists Drs. Sowell & Williams agree.

  • Some of you guys and your numbers are not counting inflation caused by federal reserve and US bonds on going interest rates don't ever stop on the debt.

  • Republican$ are always saying that they hate"Big Government". What they really mean is that they hate government regulation.>Keep in mind that Republican$ don't work for you.*They only work for BILLIONARES, CORPORATIONS&WALL STREET. They want to destroy MEDICARE because then they can give that money to the insurance co's. They want to destroy social security so they can give that money to Wall Street firms. They want to destroy UNIONS so that everybody makes minimum wage(like in Texas).

  • This is the guy who brainwashed the Republicans into thinking that they were never wrong. Look what that deliberate ignorance and blindness has done to America. Their incredible fiscal wrecklessness and military spending, have bankrupted America, while the richest 5% went from 8 trillion to 40 trillion in net worth from 1985 to 2007. Start the class war now!

  • I checked out the Repeal of Glass Steagel, Ron Paul voted 'present', so he didn't vote yes or no.... He was running for president that next year.

Also Clinton signed the law that repealed Glass Steagal, but the republicans in the congress had more then enough votes to override his veto...

    Once again Republicans ruined everything.

  • Reagan proved the obvious Tax cuts do not increase tax revenue. Lets not get bogged down in conspiracy theories, we know what works, we know what doesn't work. Lets make the right decisions. We have the opportunity to become the most informed citizenry in History, learn what worked. When did the middle class grow, when did it shrink. Learn , learn , learn. Knowledge is the only thing that can save us now.

  • @MaudsPas He cut taxes but he also raised taxes every other year he was in office. He was full of gimmicks and he also increased government spending. Increasing spending defeats the purpose of tax cuts. Also, we should not cut taxes to increase revenue, we should cut taxes to keep money out of the incompetent government's hands so that resources are not squandered into the black hole of spending.

  • @19TEC85 So a government building a road doesn't help the economy?? Government regulation is responsible for the creation of the internet, and all the jobs that go with it.

Nothing is ALWAYS wrong or ALWAYS right. Most things are a grey, not black or white.

Decreasing tax revenues does not increase tax revenues. We need to use common sense when thinking about tax issues. Bush promised that tax cuts would pay for the war in Iraq...clearly that wasn't common sense, but people bought it.

  • @MaudsPas No, laying asphalt isn't a special power only government can handle. And the idea for people to connect through computers or other technology has been around since the beginning of computers, it just so happens the government took money from the private economy to help its own interests(military etc), but it was the market that made the internet great. I did not say decreasing tax revenues increased taxes. But surely cutting taxes and then INCREASING spending will lead to huge deficits

  • @19TEC85 I understand in your libertarian utopia things may work like that, but facts remain government regulation was responsible for allowing researchers to use at&t networks, which led to the invention of the internet. Yes cutting taxes and increasing spending leads to huge deficits, look how well that worked for Bush...

  • @MaudsPas and of course, the unseen is the true problem. All the things that probably did not come into existence because of government waste, squandering of resources, men killed in wars... Of course it's hard for people to know just how much the government has destroyed, it's much easier to point out the few things they supposed 'invested in'' by taking money from the private economy. Sense government does not have anything, it must take from the economy to make its so called investments.

  • @19TEC85 I agree the recent wars have been wasteful in term of life and funds. But just saying there has been waste doesn't actually mean that waste is rampant. The truth is that government funds many services that people want. The internet was just one example, though it was not a small investment . It was the most significant innovation in the past 100 years. It resulted in a fundamental change in how buisness is done, it resulted in productivity gains that could never have been imagined.

  • @MaudsPas Waste IS rampant. We don't have revenue problems, we have spending problems. Can you imagine if the Federal govt decided to spend at 1999 levels? LOL. People would have a fit..Instead they rather just get more taxes out of people. Yeah they make roads, (local govt mostly), but what about the trillions spent on wars? The billions sent to wall street and foreign banks? The billions to foreign repressive dictators? The waste and abuse far out weights any supposed good.

  • @19TEC85 Welfare benefits, for example, are at a 60 year low. Clinton gutted federal welfare benefits, it's now only paid for at the state level. The consequence is we will recover much slower then euro states with larger safety nets that provide more unemployment benefits, job retraining programs, compensation packages.

  • @MaudsPas Welfare can't help an economy grow whether its welfare for the poor or welfare for the big banks. I have worked in public education so I can't be fooled. Money is thrown towards teachers salaries, and administrators. Teachers with seniority can't be laid off. Mostly good new teachers are let go, thanks to the greedy money hungry unions. We spend lots of schools and they keep getting worse. Throwing money at problems doesn't fix everything.

  • @19TEC85 HAHA, you have never had a job have you? You are just parroting Glenn Beck and the other right wing crazies. If you look at the countries whose kids are achieving at higher rates then ours, one thing is constant, they spend more on education per capita. You think we can regrow the middle class by neglecting education and technology.. ?

Welfare benefits were at their highest at the same time middle class wealth was at its highest. (70s)

  • @MaudsPas I have had a job within public schools and was forced to attend public schools. I have no reason to go against them for any other reason then what I seen first hand. I seen where the money goes. I seen how senior employees can't be fired, how good teachers are let go first to protect the senior union members, I see the wasted money towards useless administrators, I seen supplies being wasted, I seen kids being neglected! On and on, theirs so much waste, and throwing money can't fix it.

  • @19TEC85 I have many freinds who are teachers, none of them are rich, they live way more frugal lives then those in the private sector. They problem is now private sector wages are so pathetic that people want public sector employees to suffer with them? It seems shortsighted. We need more investment in the people, which will require more taxes. Then maybe parents can actually be parents instead of working 3 jobs and the being too tired to talk to their kids about school when they get home.

  • @MaudsPas How can the private sector pay anything when they have to fund a gigantic public sector? You can't compete with public wages anymore. People are going to go where they get paid more. But the private sector has to be there to support the public. Pay the public sector more you must pay the private sector less. And people need to work more jobs because were being ripped of by banks. But I guess that's a conspiracy.

  • @19TEC85 There is no giant public sector other then the military industrial (which is 60% of discretionary spending) When we finally learn to invest in our people instead of people on the other side of the planet then we will start seeing more fundamental gains and quality of life indicators go up. Investment in the public sector increases private sector jobs, the internet is one example. The internet and the jobs it created would not exists if government hadn't invested in its basic r&d.

  • @MaudsPas I'll compromise on one thing. I don't like any govt spending, but if I had a choice, I'd rather see them use the money for good intentioned things like building roads, helping schools, etc, then to see it go towards more war and military. At least public school spending doesn't involve blowing up innocent people.

  • @19TEC85 Exactly, if we spend money building roads here in Iraq, why the FU*K can't we do it here at least it we putting Americans back to work. It was good talking to you. If you really are a teacher then my hat goes off to you it is a noble profession, and I really think you people should be paid more..

  • @19TEC85 We have a revenue problem. That is why states are being forced to make reduction in education. If waste was rampant we would have cut that before cutting teachers. The money sent to Wall Street wasn't really a waste, but the government should have taken over the banks like Sweden did so the tax payers could benefit on the upside when the economy recovers. We will hopefully get our money back, some of the TARP is being returned. War is the only wasteful spending, I agree with you.

  • @MaudsPas No, we have a spending problem. I seen it first hand. During the boom time economy. governments spent like their was no tomorrow. Unions were given sweeter and sweeter deals. Promises were made that can't be kept. Why? Because the inflationary boom tricked everyone into thinking the money will come in forever. They were wrong. It was an economy based on an illusion of wealth. Simply spending more and pretending things are fine is the worst thing we can do.

  • @19TEC85 No we don't, we have a not enough spending problem. You are 26 years old and you know nothing other then what you hear on Fox. Unions are desirable, and if you look at Canada and other countries with lower income inequality and higher quality of life indicators, they all have a higher percentage of their workforce unionized. It;s no wonder our quality of life dropped as soon as we got rid of the safety net to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

  • @MaudsPas Oh really, so now I'm a glen beck fox right winger. Lol. OK. Your still stuck in that world.

Anyway, I'm talking about public employee unions that are paid by tax payers, not regular unions. Big difference. Public unions don't negotiate with a business, they just demand more money from politicians they paid off. The tax payer does not get represented in the contract. Then when bad times hit, instead of taking pay cuts, the newly hired workers get laid off.

  • @19TEC85 Public employees ARE tax payers. Public unions exists so politicians can't RIP them off to pay for more tax cuts for the billionaires who finance their campaigns.

  • @19TEC85 I know you say you don't watch fox news, but you are repeating exactly what they and the other right crazies on AM radio.....

  • @MaudsPas It doesn't matter what fox says, I know first hand. I'm not fox or msmbc right wing left wing obsessed. I only care about the truth.

  • @19TEC85 Well you seem to take the right wing stance on everything, so you are basically saying that right wing ideology is your truth, but facts and history don't support that claim. Our economy is in the tanks because of right wing economic policy.

  • @MaudsPas I'm not a right winger because the right is nationalistic, they are for telling people what they can and can't smoke, who they can and can't marry. They support a big police state, they support wars of aggression, they support the protection of big business, and in many cases, they are diametrically opposed to liberty. I agree with the left on some, the right on some, but overall, I'm for liberty.

  • @19TEC85 yea everyone is for liberty....... and for freedom , and the founding fathers. blahh blahh blahh

  • @MaudsPas Be like sweden? well certainly they do many more things right compared to the fascist US. But Nationalizing banks is horrible. Why should everyone be forced to suffer loses because of the mistakes of a few? It's bad enough the banks already own the US government, you want to take it a step further? Some people don't like being slaves to big banks. Even a government bank would be horrible because you really would socialize all loses and theirs no incentive to grow.

  • @19TEC85 How would any one suffer? After the banks recovered we would re-privatize them, taking them over is just a way to get in on the upside so we can recuperate the money tax payers spent, maybe make a little profit and retrain people who lost their job. How do banks own the government? Do they elect our representatives? You must be a ron paul conspiracy theorist.

  • @MaudsPas Of course anyone who doesn't like the fact that banks can inflate, rip us off, blow up bubbles, wreck the economy and then get bailed out by the tax payers must be a crazy conspiracy theorist. Do they elect the representatives? Well they certainly have lots of influence over them. Every president appoints big wall streeters and ex federal reserve people as advises. Look at bush and obama. OHHH but money and power never corrupt ! I must be a conspiracy nut!

  • @19TEC85 It was more the hedge funds then banks. And more importantly it was LACK OF REGULATION that allowed them to take risky bets in the first place. Of course money influences elections, everyone agrees with that.

  • @19TEC85 Read the FCIC's report on the crisis, they say it was "preventable" and a major cause of was insufficient regulation on the markets, lenders, buyers.

  • @MaudsPas The FCIC report is a joke, and they came to the most convenient conclusion for themselves. The reason regulation was needed in the first place is because of an overall FLAWED system where fraud is encouraged by the govt. You need to learn how inflation distorts the market and causes bubbles, leading to malinvestments.

  • @19TEC85 OK well sorry mr. economist, you seem to be so much more knowledgeable....They came to the same conclusions thousands of independent economist came to years before. You are going off on a tangent, instead of just saying the gov is corrupt say HOW it is corrupt, I would contend you are correct the gov is too corrupt to make the correct regulations. That is the problem with Washington having a revolving door relationship with wall street, as you noted.

  • @19TEC85 Inflation isn't the problem. That is ron paul speak, it is just a distraction to keep us from talking about the real problems. LACK OF REGULATION. Look up Glass Steagal.

  • @MaudsPas Funny because 'ron paul' voted against the repeal of glass steagal, because it was NOT a real deregulation towards a freer market, it was just a way of telling bankers to go ahead and gamble because the tax payer has you covered. Theirs ron paul speak for you.

  • @19TEC85 I never knew that about Paul. My mind is changing towards him, but his ideas about flat tax still scare the crap out of me. Take it easy man.

  • @MaudsPas And its not just the recent wars, is almost all the wars. All the men killed for no good reason, for lies, and all the resources wasted, all the businesses artificially propped up by the tax payers. You see, it's not so easy to point out what could have been....It's easier to just point at what is.

  • @19TEC85

Most technologies need an initial investment before they become profitable. Companies only do the research on existing technologies that will make them profitable in the next few buisness cycles. It has always been government investment that lays the foundation for this further research. Another example would be the human genome project. Markets have their place, but the best economies are mixed economies.

  • You people clearly don't understand that Reagan, Obama, WHOEVER is in office is under the control of international bankers who seek to bankrupt the United states and enslave it's people. So far they're winning. All puppet presidents. Haven't had a real one since JFK

  • 09/30/1981 * $ 997,855,000,000.00

    09/30/1988 $ 2,602,337,712,041.16

In the end of 1992, the national debt was 4.5 trillion thanks to Reagan and Bush I.

  • Clinton= Best President

  • @insaneWW2freak This is the biggest F'n fallacy attached to the Reagan presidency. The soviet military threat started its drastic decline in the early 70's.

Reagan's 8 years of defense spending, deficits and upper class tax cuts did not single handedly destroy the Soviet Union. The right constantly demonstrates the inability to put anything in a meaningful historical perspective.

  • well this is certainly one thing Obama is better at than Reagan- blowing up the debt and the deficit!

  • Reagan was a whore plain and simple.

There has never been a president before or since so under the control of banks that one was told to speed up his speech in front of the nation...what a total whore and worthy of modern conservatives worshipping him, because modern conservatives are nothing more than house niggers eating off the tables of their corporate masters.

Yes, I called Reagan a whore and you a house nigger.

  • how dare u cut down REAGAN, he spurred economic growth, strengthend the military and made america proud again.

  • Speaking of tax cuts, why are Americans against letting the Bush tax cuts expire. They country's president wants to let those tax cuts expire for those with an income greater than a quarter million dollars and make the tax cuts permanent for all others. But Americans are screaming no, pretty much saying they don't want the Bush tax cuts to expire if the wealthy can't get tax cuts too. You shouldn't pass on getting a tax cut because Warren Buffett can't get one too.

  • THE ONLY REASON YOU HAVE TO HOLD SO MANY JOBS IS BECAUSE ALL WORK HAS BEEN SENT TO CHINA

  • DO NOT TAKE THE RICH, THEY ARE THE ONES WHO CREATE JOBS, FORCE THEM TO BRING JOBS BACK FROM CHINA

  • @AMERICAHELP1Less than 2 percent of tax returns reporting small-business income are filed by taxpayers in the top two income brackets -- individuals earning more than about $170,000 a year and families earning more than about $210,000 a year.

  • BRING JOBS BACK FROM CHINA, IMPOWER AMERICA

  • Ralphdraw is a liar.

6 out of 8 of Reagan's proposed budgets were balanced. Tip O'Neal ( a democrat fool) was speaker, and said these budgets were "Dead on Arrival" then loaded them with spending.

Why are you such a liar Ralph?

  • this love affair with reagan almost reaches the level of necrophilia......

  • If you want to show what happened during 8 years in office, that is GREAT

    BUT PUBLISH OBAMA'S RECORDS TOOO!

We are deeper in debt during the shorted period of time under OBONO! NOW even our GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT grandchildren will be paying for the 2 years OBONO was in office!

  • @AMERICAHELP1 idiot

  • The economic expansion of the 90's began during the Bush administration. Clinton admitted it (for a while). How did the decline in the early 90's begin? When Bush reneged on "read my lips, no new taxes". The new taxes sent the economy down, but the recovery began during Bush's term. Facts are facts. And don't forget, it was CLINTON who said when the economic expansion started.

  • @GUILDGOB I TOTALLY agree with you!! W let every veteran down when he vetoed or WOULD NOT SIGN the pending rule that VETERANS SHOULD GET BOTH: PENSION AND DISABILITY.

I found your short blog VERY INTERESTING!! I would like to hear more from you, my email is: AMERICAHELP1@AOL.COM

  • @jmwcctx YOU sound like an AMERICAN HERO!! I believe we can have OBONO impeached!! We better or our GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT grandchildren are going to be PAYING OFF OBONO DEBT

  • democrat congresses,get a clue

  • @BAhern63 Reagan got his tax cuts through and his defense spending increases through. and Reagan didn't go near Social Security..

  • @Ralphdraw3 I am unsure about your comment! You are correct, REAGAN never touched social security!

But why in 2010 with horrible price increases, congress and senate giving themselves a raise was there NO increase on SOCIAL SECURITY???

I would LOVE to read YOUR response!! Please email me at: americahelp1@aol.com I really did not understand your TRUE intent!

  • Wow!! Reagan really Fucked up America.

  • Lol anyone buying this? I didn't think so. Maybe the 20% of libs who are too braindead to research anything.

Socialism fails, just like this video.

  • @GUILDGOB

Reagan was not a conservative he triple the deceit under his watch.

  • @afannell Reagan lowered the debt substantially (hence Reaganomics), and created millions of jobs while doing so. He was a true American loving patriot that pulled America out of a deep recession.

I'm getting sick of your type awfully fast. You gotta start realizing John Stewart isn't news some point.

  • @GUILDGOB

HA HA whatever! He still put America in debt! Get use to it.

  • @afannell Who put us in debt?? OBONO, deeper than ever in history!!

Please tell me you are talking about OBONO!!

I am 60, how old are YOU? Are you an OBONO supporter living off the tit's of every ONE ELSE??

i REALLY didn't understand your blog, so forgive me if you are a true AMERICAN, and want it to return to GREATNESS!!

please, email me if you are a bright, AMERICA fan. PLEASE DO NOT contact me if you are some liberal, bleeding heart!!

    America needs HELP, NOW AMERICAHELP1@AOL.COM

  • @AMERICAHELP1

WRONG!! President Bush did nothing to control spending — in fact, he encouraged the most outrageous federal expenditures in our nation’s history. He vetoed practically nothing (other than a stem cell research bill that would have helped to save lives), allowing Congress to go wild with pork-filled legislation. Some economic analysts believe that the Bush Administration deliberately engineered the collapse of the U.S. economy.

  • @AMERICAHELP1

President Reagan’s “trickle down” theory has been proved false. Most Americans can’t maintain a reasonable standard of living, holding down three and even four jobs just to break even. We can’t even buy gas and groceries without putting it on our credit card and paying exorbitant interest rates.

  • @afannell this is all lies. Reagan didn't use "trickle down" economics, that was a BS quote by candidates vs him. It is called "Supply Side" economics, and it is now accepted as the ultimate economic model by most well-regarded business schools. Keynesian economics is the one that has been debunked time after time, and it is a radical, socialist version that Obama ascribes to. Get you facts straight.

  • @AMERICAHELP1 Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which the federal government was turning a blind eye.

  • @afannell Which Bush, I must question EVERYTHING YOU WRITE! There were TWO Bush administrations, you must be too young to remember. Are you too young to remember what Jimmy Carter did to our economy?

  • Comment removed

  • @GUILDGOB National debt under Reagan more than doubled:

    09/30/1981 * $ 997,855,000,000.00

    09/30/1988 $ 2,602,337,712,041.16

  • @Ralphdraw3 Revenues to the federal Gov't also doubled and the Debt as a percentage of GDP was no larger than in the 1950's.

  • @GUILDGOB The largest sustained increase in the national debt occurred from 1980 to 1992, when it rose from $930 million to $4 trillion. Ironically, this is the period of the administrations of Ronald Reagan (1980-1988) and George H. W. Bush (1988-1992, & in todays money would be almost $10 trillion, conservatives have been bankrupting america since the 80's, this is fact, reagan spent, get your facts str8,

  • @jetbtkng It is perception and spin. Is your unemployment rate fact true? Yes. Do you bother to explain how it got that way and who was responsible? No. You imply President Reagan. You are wrong.

President Carter was elected President based on his use of the misery index. That is a number made by adding unemployment plus inflation. Why do that? To make a bigger number. We like both numbers low, so add them together and it sounds much worse.

  • @GUILDGOB no spin just facts bud, what i stated below is true as is bush retard jrs numbers, 12,2 trillion dollars when he left office.......

  • @jetbtkng What is the national debt going to be in 2011? Now the OBONO administration will bankrupt your great great great grandchildren!

Bring OUR jobs back to AMERICA, deal with the past and we had better fix the FUTURE!

  • @AMERICAHELP1 But bringing jobs back means that we can't let the free market rule itself like all you conservatives cry.. What do you want him to do, punish american corporations that produce products overseas and import them? Thats socialist....hmmm socialism doesn't sound that bad. But wait, they support workers rights, and Sinclair's The Jungle was critical of the free market as well...damn socialists with all their loving of the common man.

  • @GUILDGOB says Reagan lowered the debt substantially. LOL. What alternate universe do you live in. Sorry but the facts on the ground say you are wrong.

  • @GUILDGOB hahaha "Reagan lowered the debt substantially.... if raising the debt more than two times counts as lowering, then Reagan's War on Drugs is a complete and total success.

  • @GUILDGOB Reagan increased spending and cut taxes. Thus he increased national debt. The real hero of the late seventy's and early eighties is Paul Volker.

  • @GUILDGOB so pure capitalism must work right, I mean it's doing great isn't it

  • @hempartist420 We haven't had pure capitalism in many decades. And yes, it works very well.

  • Think of how it would have been in Catrina with 100,000 more hands. Contractors with water coolers at the least. Snacks they got before they got there. They also have the proper skills to do what is needed and many having with them what is needed to do the job. Because they dont get paid till there done. You always try to help locals because it hurts business if you dont. Fima always cost more with the lease inpact on the problem. More govt. hurts the people in almost every way.

  • I went on stormwork with a major utility contractor for years. I remember when they stopped all outside contractors from coming in. We all said then working a storm like fima does will cause a real bad outcome, if they do this everywhere. It did, when contractors came in they would bring water and food and would share before they see someone go without. We had water and snack trucks meet us every morning before we started. 4 or 5 cases of water to every truck. We shared with anyone we could.

  • Before the govt. stepped in and started to help big business. America lead the way in almost everthing. The first major car company was here. The stongest industrial country in the world. But then you had to be the best or get out of it. When you keep failing companies a float you blow the chance of a new and better company from taking there place. Then you slow or stop the growth and inprovement of out country.

  • I remember well how everyone was so happy that Reagan told congress. Show me a budget the people can live with or I'll veto them all, you can close the doors and stay home. He also put togather the hope committy. They were the ones who told us the fed reserve was owned by private bankers, and that no tax dollars have been used for anything but there profit. Sure thats still true today. Only what we paid wasnt enough. They got the crooks in office today to give them more than that.

  • Reagan Made things good for me. Under Carter most of the people I know were out of work. Many business men from that time say Reagan saved there butt. By giving more tax cuts for those who were tring to get somewhere. I moved up about $2 a hour. Finally after Reagan took office. My wife dauther and I could get a home of our own. Under carter we lived with her family or mine. One job openned up in town and 30,000 people applied for it.

  • @Gahillbillyusa

Reagan, like FDR, had the great fortune to be elected near the bottom of a bear market. Their policies had nothing to do with the economic revival. They mearly rode the wave that was already in progress.

  • @TYX91101 What Reagan did was to cut govt. controls and it did the rest. Like the deprestion of 1920 that didnt seem to make the books. After 18 months it caused the roaring 20s.Out dated companies lost there butt, new business grow fast and the work force shifted over.Happened again in the 30s and with govt. help it took about 30 yrs. Companies that fail will fail no matter how much money you throw at it. New business can start up debt free with a chance of real growth.

  • Just because someone is a Satanist doesn't mean they're pedophiles. Just like being a catholic doesn't make you a pedophile. Other than that bit of idiocy in the description of the video, you could NOT be more correct than you are.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 You might want to check out the generally unknown story of the Franklin coverup. A group of wealthy and criminal Republican Satanic pedophiles held Satanic rituals in the Reagan WH after hours with young boys they spirited out of Boystown. I am sure there is sworn testimony and court records to back this up here on youtube. Reagan was the greatest force for evil in the 20th century until BUSH.

  • @exenrontexas I suggest you learn what a Satanic Ritual is. I'm well aware of the boystown incident, and that was NOT a Satanic Ritual.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 The foremost Satanic worshipper of the previous era was Aleister Crowley and he was very much into Satanic sex rituals such as the Republicans forced young boys into at the Reagan White House. How do you reconcile that FACT with your denial?

  • @exenrontexas There are plenty of sex spells/rituals within Satanism and Paganism, and NONE of them mandate, or even suggest, the use of children.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 The two examples that I cited suggest otherwise; however, I am glad to see that YOU think so and I assume that means that YOU do not practice those Satanic, pedophile rituals. I suppose now that you will claim that those who do are not REAL satanists or REAL Republicans? The leader of that cult sang the national anthem at the RNC convention where Reagan was nominated.

  • @exenrontexas Where did Crowley suggest anything about pedophilia? And whether or not you're a real REPUBLICAN is irrelevant. There is a huge difference between REPUBLICAN and CONSERVATIVE. Personally, I'm an Anarchist. But anyway. Most Satanists can't even agree on what Satanism is. Satanists are not like Christians. So to say, or make the assumption, that all Satanists endorse pedophilia is retarded.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 I never said that ALL Satanists practice pedophilia but the examples that I cited certainly prove that some do. Are you ever going to answer or explain away THAT? Your refusal to address that issue is what is really retarded.

  • @exenrontexas You cited Crowley and I asked for proof that Crowley endorsed pedophilia. And why the fuck should I have to answer for some idiot who wants to rape kids? I don't give a rat's ass about pedophilia, personally. And the act of committing pedophilia is not a sex Ritual in and of itself. How do we know that they tried to make some type of Ritual out of this?

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 Simply, because several of the young boys who were victims of this Republican Satanic ritual testified under oath that is what happened and later they were hounded by political pressure groups and one of them died mysteriously. That is just one of the reasons they call it the Franklin cover up AND the Satanist leader was first convicted of embezzlement from his S&L and later received a civil judgment against him for such acts. WHY do you continue to deny the truth?

  • @exenrontexas I know all about the Lawrence King/boystown scandal and I'm not denying that it happened. I'm calling bullshit on your claim that this was SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse) and you've still not shown where Crowley endorsed pedophilia. Just because he endorsed Sex Magic doesn't mean he endorsed pedophilia.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 AND a short google search for "aleister crowley sex pedophilia" received multiple hits. I did not review them in detail for veracity and certainly there are none of the victims of Crowley still alive to testify but the evidence suggest he was involved in pedophilia and the evidence in the Franklin coverup is undenial and overwhealming. BTW: I know the Bonnacci family who ran a small airport in North Omaha. The lawyer, John DeCamp, is a Vietnam war hero.

  • @exenrontexas So, you don't even want to review the "evidence" of your own claim and you expect me to take said claim seriously. Again you make the assumption that I deny the boystown inncident. And AGAIN you equate acts of pedophilia to SRA with no evidence to support such a claim other than the events described in the documentary CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE which DOES NOT EQUATE ANY OF THE EVENTS THAT HAPPENED AT BOYSTOWN WITH SRA.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 Don't try to change the subject. My original statement was a condemnation of Republican Satanic pedophiles who spirited young boys for a satanic sex ritual in the Reagan WH. I have already provide abudant evident to support that as FACTUAL. It is ALSO factual that Aleister Crowley was a Satan worshipper who was obsessed with sex rituals and I pointed out that an easy Google search provided multiple hits linking him with pedophilia.

  • The modern-day conservative movement (1980 - present)

Ask NOT what you can do for your country.

A$k what YOU can do for your corporation.

  • @RonPaulGeorgeRingo

My give you an A+-----------------is that an original quote?

  • @Oopgrub After 9/11 - Bush was extremely popular. I believe Bush's approval raithing was over 80%.

BTW - CIA Director Casey approved the Iran contra program - I think even V-P Bush knew about it. And Reagan is responsible for appointing people like Ollie North and Poindexter to high positions.

  • @Ralphdraw3 Ollie North was a decorated war veteran!!! And I am proud of him!

W Bush was a complete IDIOT!! And I am an ULTRA ULTRA CONSERVATIVE

my husband is a 100% disabled veteran from the VIETNAM CONFLICT or did they finally designate it as a WAR??

  • @Ralphdraw3 91% if I remember right.

  • @Ralphdraw3 Is that worse than appointing Cass Sunstein, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, etc, etc, to high positions?

  • @Oopgrub Middle class jobs in manufacturing began to decline under Reagan. There was a bad recession in 1982. The stock market crashed in 1987. There was the S & L Crisis of the late '80's and early '90's which wiped out many S & L's

  • @Ralphdraw3

The 1983 Caribbean Base Initiave is what really crushed us--Reagan and Schultz were sociopaths-and, in truth, even though they had low intellects, were geniuses in legerdemain. Btw, Schultz never understood the difference between Islamic Jihad and Hezbo'llah but never had to.

  • @Oopgrub Ronnie was a very good actor (as president) - He smiled, he was cheerful, he made people feel good, he could read speeches very well (far better than G. W. Bush - another "popular" president).

But Reagan began to destroy the middle class, destroy unions and ran the government into huge deficits and lots of debt. He was also involved in selling arms to Iran and Iraq, against US law.

  • @Ralphdraw3 i love u. he really was doing what he was best at, acting.

  • the deficit wasnt his fault.

congress was against almost all of his plans to cut the deficit.

  • @ronaldthatcher You mean Reagan had no influence over Congress? Bottom line is "supply-side" economics failed and failed miserably.

  • @Ralphdraw3 There are numerous audio recordings of Ronald Reagan urging constituents to mail/call their representatives to show their support (or lack of support) for certain bills. In that case, I guess he did have some influence over congress. He had fair, honest and predictable influence over congress. Sorry, no back-room deals or anything exciting and dishonest like you're used to with democrats.

  • Notice that his tax cuts in 1981 and 1986 greatly outweigh all of the small tax increases during his administration.

  • @ronaldthatcher Too bad Reagan racked up all those deficit budgets - Reagan wasn't even close to balancing the budget - in any of his eight years as president...

  • Ronald Reagan was a corporate owned puppet. Reagan's primary role as President was to funnel money from the shrinking middle class to the already wealthy via tax cuts for the rich. Reagan also tried to bankrupt the government through HUGE deficit spending. "Dubaya" did the same thing. How ANYONE other than the wealthiest could think Reagan was a "great" President is beyond belief.

  • ....and after 1984 he got re-elected with 49 of 50 electoral college votes in the biggest landslide in history!

  • Wow, and to think Obama quadrupled this shit. It's unreal that the first black president has fucked this country up that bad.

  • This is retarted! This needs to be deleted! RONALD REAGAN IS THE BEST! I LOVE AND MISS THAT MAN!

  • @brockinit22 How is it 'retarded' when it is fact?

Reagan did immense damage to our country. However, most people that like him do so because he made them feel good about themselves and their country whilst robbing them blind.

In 100 years, lessons will be taught about what not to do in a presidency starting with Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton & possibly Obama. However, Reagan & Bush V2 area couple of the worst in our nation's history.

  • America had sunk sometime around Vietnam- Weve been scheming and papering over it ever since. Funny to see people below doing what they want..fighting with each other as the ship continues to sink.

  • Comment removed

  • 5 STARS! ROCK ON! LOL!

  • Ronnie Reagan is the best example of ho9w stupid the american people are... even though repubs have led the way in government spending, higher taxes, taking away freedoms letting the illegals aliens in, etc., there are so many morons who believe reagan was a hero and the republicans are patriots... I share your outrage at all this and have been fighting the conservative filth for 25 years but now I just sit back and l;augh at it all .... I think americans deserve what they get... Palin 2012!

  • stupid - deleted

  • I hope you lost whole retirement in Enron due to your buddy Clinton. You are too stupid to release that Carter and Obama are the same thing, facist of the worst kind.

  • @gregvancuren Hysteria. How are Obama and Carter Fascists? Please explain. Perhaps hit up a dictionary regarding the word "fascist" first though. You'll see that all of the presidents from Reagan through Bush v2 certainly qualify to a greater extent than Carter. Obama might be in too deep, but he's only been around for a year. We'll have to see.

  • SO what is the WORST thing that Reagan did of the long list of great evil and stupid policies during Reagan? Was it supportin Satanic pedophiles? Iran/Contra? Aiding Osama and the Taliban? The bogus war on drugs where Reagan smuggled drugs into the US and sold them to American kids? The S&L crisis or the stock market collapse? I think that worst was appointing Alan Greenspan to head the FED. Greenspan was a follower of AYN RAND, the screwball free market nutjob.

  • @exenrontexas You so stupid. You were probably one the of those ATC assholes fired for illegally striking.

  • @gregvancuren Reagan was a fascist tool that plunged America into a DEEP crisis with the S&L debacle, the stock market crash of '87, record deficits and spending a TRILLION dollars on a FAILED weapons system. Reagan was a fear monger and worship the occult. He is blowing goats in hell right now.

  • WRONG! The post Vietnam WAR recession. America has ALWAYS had them. Blame NIXON since he was elected in '68 with the promise to end the war in Vietnam but it ONLY ended in '75 AFTER Nixon resigned in disgrace. The GOP has a long and evil history of war mongers. War is destructive to people and the economy. It produces NOTHING of value. You are allowed your own beliefs but NOT your own facts. STOP rewriting history to suit you own delusions.

  • As we saw with deregulation in 2008, apparently government isn't the problem

  • atlasshurggery you want to know how clinton had a surplus he taxed the hell out of smokers and people that drink beer , he called it a sin tax , but he forgot to tax his own damn self for cheating on his wife in the oval office getting a blow job then letting the whole thing drag in court cost tax payers millions of dollars to defend him before he finally admit he did have sex. of not to mention he sell our secrets to china for election money !

  • @saint27573 And perhaps the most repugnant Reagan crime was hosting a group of wealthy Republicans having a pedophile Satanic sex rituals in the WH itself that defiled the PEOPLE's House. Google Franklin cover up for the lurid details and the video taped sworn testimony of young boys spirited out of Boystown for the rituals with wealthy Republicans. More than anything else, THAT is Reagans legacy of evil.

  • You've lost your mind. Reagan was a honest man of dignity and conviction. I bet you are a Carter and Obama supporter. These two idiots did more to damage our country in five yeats than all our enemies over the last two hundred years. Obama is bankrupting America with his wasteful spending and corruption.
