  • If you design your PCB for the CP2102 as I did, you can make the pads on the QFN-28 footprint VERY BIG, lets say all pads120 mills long to the sides, that will allow you to easily make thermal contact with a manual soldering iron.

The total footprint will not be too big for most projects anyway.-

  • @DionLaurent1 maybe, but usually u will destroy the chip. If you have important info on the chip, your better off having a professional service try to recover the data.

  • To late. I sent it out to 2 different companies and they both said that the usb was encrypted. Only thing is, I nave put a password on it. So I threw it away and now I'm trying to get back everything I lost the hard way.

  • Can't tell what was happening there but if you did manage to solder CP2102 in MLP-28 package like that I give you two thumbs up. And for marianek13 why dont you post a video where you solder a component with a ground pad under the chip.

  • rotf, wow soldering pin heads is very diffucult :P

  • Nice sodering something that little is pretty hard and you looked very consentrated :)

  • Well that was probably the worst video on the internet, congradulations.
