@oodles12 that wouldn't matter. My fingers cover about a third of the keyboard, but i can still type resonably quickly. It just takes some getting use to.

i own at texting with the side-slide qwerty keyboards like my LG xenon for example. Everytime my friend texts me, he recieves a huge text under 5 seconds.

He's like, dude! stop bombing me with text messages lol

It just depends what your used to... I entered a competition for texting with buttons with the voyager and I came in 5th and there was about 100 ppl... And I went in another one with the i phone again with 100 ppl but I came in like 50 or something... I suck with the i phone, it just depends what you like more... I hate touch screens.

I just got a Curve. It's cool and I'm getting faster with it, but I type 60 wpm with a standard keyboard so it's always gonna seem slow as hell. I think I'm gonna get a bluetooth keyboard.

which is better/faster/all round texting blackberry curve or blackberry storm

The Blackberry Curve has a real keyboard so it's easier to type on and it's faster than the Blackberry Storm. The Blackberry Storm works with a one button touchscreen so it might be a bit weird to get used to. The newer version of the Blackberry Curve and the Blackberry Storm have similar if not same functions so it's more of a preference for you, either a one button touchscreen or a real qwerty keyboard.

ya, i like it, Actually, I'm still using this phone. But ironically, I plan to get the next iPhone or maybe the generation after that, depending on how the keyboard changes.

So what phne would you reccomend between the Blackberry curve and the iPhone? I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 now, and am thinking of switching to the iPhone. I have heard that iPhones cant send pictures or cant send a text to many people at one time and some other things like that. What do you think?

I currenty have a iPhone and a Blackberry curve 8310. Yes you CAN'T send and receive pictures with the iphone and you CAN't send text to multiple people. If you're just a person who texts a lot. I would stay with the Blackberry. But if you are a big mobile internet surfer, I recommend the iPhone because it has a great internet UI and speed.

I went to the apple store today and was playing with iPhones. Its so hard to type without making mistakes. Really need a verticle keyboard, I'm REALLY surprised that its been a year and a quarter and apple still hasn't put vertical keyboarding into the phone in every app. It doesn't make since to me.

currently, that feature isn't available right now. But in the app store, many new applications are being developed for that feature to be available. In my opinion, after using the vertical way for the keyboard, that way somehow became easier for me. After use.

I text WAY faster on my iPhone than on a BlackBerry! I tried one of my friend's blackberries, took me 5 minutes to just find a typing application, And The keyboard was awful! I had to apply signifiantly more preasure than on the iPhone, which slowed my typing down significantly

well you didn't give enough time to adapt to the phone. I have used the keyboard for the iphone and the blackberry around the same amount of time and blackberry was clearly faster.
