  • זה אריקק התוכי שלייייייייייייי <3

  • its even in the right key and scale most of the time.

  • Sings in harmony. hehe

  • Ha ha, my bird is joining in now. She's a rainbow lorikeet and a great little singer, she hasn't got the blues scales as sussed as this blue though. Her favourite is the mexican hat song, which is a lot like the theme to Deliverance.

  • HAHAHAHAAA I watched already 4 times, can't get enough of this

  • The caged bird blues. hehe

  • He the reincarnation of stevie ray

  • @andaliceasked hahahahahahah great one!

  • Pretty good phrasing.

  • This bird has some pretty impressive and original blues licks going on. I think someone should do a transcription.

  • This bird is a genius,,,,he is actually singing a counter melody to the piano and in several different keys, at that. [ Most music writers find this a challenge] Amazing.

  • This is hilarious and awesome, he's actually performing a vocal solo just like that... amazing.

    AMAZING!

  • @Jouwl ...you're correct. He's singing a vocal solo that's a diatonic compliment of the piano. This bird knows music theory?!

  • This bird is too cool to have so few hits.

    Thanks for sharing the gift.

  • coolest bird on youtube

  • hes good an hes trying to sing along in his own little way

  • hes good an hes trying to sing along in his own little way

  • Wow! I LOVE this. Your tiel is one of the best!

  • Far out!

  • My dog looked up when the bird started to sing. Heh.

  • Did the teacher of the parrot make up this riff or is it from a song??

  • There have been a few birds that have been involved in the blues. In 1928 Blind Racing Pigeon cut 2 sides for Vocalion I Can Fly All Night Long & Nagging Budgie Blues. In 1937 Tiny Sparrow recorded Early Bird Boogie. Post war Chicago saw an early electric band composed of all birds featuring on Beak Harp The Black Raven their best known recording was Key to the Airway. Their album 'Live At The Eagle' is very rare and very good.

  • @goatface1000

I was at the Eagle, and was blown away. Check out Matey at "Bird sings at The Cage, Saturday. More jazz than blues, but the universe is one.....

    5Stars!!

  • lol thats just too cool!

  • he sings so pretty, how do you learn something like that to a bird?

  • Craziness! He's got great phrasing!

  • he gets it. pretty good. my wolf dog used to do that sometimes when i play blues guitar but even more if i played the harp. makes some dogs howl. agree about the cage. good job on the piano. parrot looks somewhat hawklike.

  • Hey Avi Dear , really long to see you , my Friend Eli Marcus has a question; Do You change Birds when You change Keys ??? Love Avner Strauss , P.S Can I hire the Birdie for some gigs ..

  • 5 Stars for the bird (Nymphensittich).

And you should spend this talented star a bigger cage.

  • The bird gets 5 stars : )

  • lol. That's so funny.

  • why the hell is your bird in such a small cage im sorry but that is REALLY suck and it makes me soooooooo sad to see this

  • its not the kid playing lol, i dont know if u know the teacher but hes avi adrian an intentional skilled pianist the man is a faking chick corea..:)

  • mmm... that bird can whistle better than I can

  • This is wonderful!! I totally believe that birds - especially cockatiels - have the capacity to create and appreciate music, and this is proof. Thank you for posting it. Does (or did) he sing just as well in other keys, or in response to music played in other keys?

  • yeah ino but it is so funny....

  • Obviously This Bird has an ear for music!

  • I'm sorry to hear that Avi! Maybe he should have some blues time so put him in the little cage when you're teaching kids to play piano. His teeny little ears need to be retrained.

  • This cockatiel has the blues lol cool bird ...

    i love the bird

    coco

  • beautiful bird and amazing!!!!!

  • The bird is wonderful and a nice singer for sure. Please treat him with some love and get him a proper cage at least 3 times the size of that one. That cage is way too small for a cockatiel. Let Avi know, get him one as a gift maybe?

  • that really is a small cage...

  • +1 +1

  • omg adorable!!!!!!!

  • I´m agree with Kinkyilu... get a BIGGER CAGE.

  • nnniiiicceee:)

  • This bird sings better than some of my friends!

  • She's hired for the "cockatiel party". Ill get the contract right out.

  • lol smart bird, very intelligent to compehend on its own instead of mimmicking

  • there are stories about eric dolphy playing duets with birds in his backyard on 36th st. in los angeles. as a flute player, i've played with them too. they are great teachers and it is very humbling to play with them. they appreciate music also. it's great when they listen, and kinda turn their head to hear.

  • Must be a reincarnated blues Musician. Outstanding Bird. Almost as talented as my African Grey Parrot.

  • you shoudnt keep your bird in such a small cage!!

  • hahaha awesome.

  • That is amazing.

  • My Senegal parrot likes to dance, duck and cluck to the blues and latin rhythms, but she can't sing like this cockatiel! This is a real lesson in improvisation.

  • that bird and kid know the blues! AMAZING!

  • What a cutie! And great piano playing too!

  • So very cute

  • your bird is too awesome great stuff great bird he has got rythem for sure, thanks for posting that enjoyed it alot

  • ok that bird is fantastic. One thing why is he not imitating the piano. He is doing it as a whistel? did someone teach him the other half with a whistel?I love it anyway 5*****

  • it was acoletely spontaneous improvisation. Only Blues gets him going like that

  • He is very talented. Please please get him a bigger cage and let him out to fly around the house maybe sit on top of piano. My Cockateil has a large cage and is free to fly around the house all day. He fly s back in at night. He eats broccoli, carrot, treats and millet and is very happy.

  • But I think he has got a new cage now. ;)

  • Aww! thats so cute!!

  • Bird's whitle a "C " Blues! And Avi is my favorite Genious Pianist!!! KAPAROT!!!

  • Haha way to cool!

I try to send you a message but it will not come through

I will com to Colngne if you find me a gig,no problem

  • so cute! so talented!!!

  • cool

  • music is the universal language!

  • Hey, how 'bout some props for that piano player, huh? Not since the days of the young Willie "Beanpole' Wilson have I heard such volatile... All joking aside, the bird is truly amazing. Do you happen to know where he gets his reeds?

  • Yeah but he started to run out of ideas the last chorus and completely missed the DIM7 change in the 6th bar of the last chorus! (Just kidding. That truly is amazing.)

  • LOL

  • That made me laugh so hard...thanks for the great post!!!

  • That's the prove: Bird lives!

  • Get him a female. He'll really have the blues then!

  • This bird deserves his own club! I'll open for him.

  • What amazes me the most is that this little avian is improvising and extemporizing. It could easy be that he's been trained to whistle exact notes, but it doesn't sound that automated. It is too pure to believe. I am very impressed OBOSHI!

    DShore

  • walang hiya ka

    !!!! galing mo

  • Great! I learned something musically even. Wasn't there are movie about him though called "Bird"?

  • I'd like to hire your bird as front bird for our band. He will be paid ona peanut to gig ratio of 300 peanuts to one gig? I realise I'll need to go through his agent. Would it be possible for him to learn Weather Reports 'Birdland'?!

  • I love birds man, they're awesome creatures

  • Bird lives!

  • transcription available soon.

  • dude you guys seriously have to tour in san diego some time. I'll be there
